I'm so happy to see someone outside the USA are interested in United states history spread the word about this channel I really want to see Mr beast numbers! Then we know theses people will never be forgotten💪💪
Always and only loved the exploits of the old Gunfighter. After Finding this Channel by accident i Love your Content even more. Especially about the last free apache and their demise if they ever did completely vanish, wich i hope not. You know German. Karl May and the Winnetou Novels of my youth. Was there ever a picture of Apache Juan? Bought my first book on that. Father and son Journey. Think i am the only German ever knowing about this topic.
The Blackfoot tribe were the emenies of many native tribes for example Crow, Shoshone, Sioux, Cree, Assiniboine, Ojibwa Flathead..... Itˋs a great channel and I must learn English for a better speak and unterstanding. Many Greetings to HOKC from Germany-Bavaria!
@historyattheokcorral There was the Blackfoot Confederacy in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Montana. There was also the Blackfoot band of the Lakota tribe in North Dakota. Which Blackfoot does this story refer to?
Most likely the Blackfeet from the Three Forks area. A Blackfoot warrior had been killed by members of the Lewis & Clark. Corps of Discovery, and from then on the Blackfeet did not tolerate whites trapping their beaver in their territory.
I say this every week! best youtube channel! there is a small group of RUclipsrs who work the old west heros/legends but this channel has the best quality! best narrator! And the best vibes in the game thank you🎉
England appreciates the content and detail in it 👍 This particular area of history fascinates me, I wish there were more like yourself putting this kind of information out there in easily digestible form. Thank you 🙂
You are an excellent story teller! Jim Bridger stands out as a particularly interesting figure. Though he was illiterate he is mentioned in literature buy very many people that encountered him and put a pin to paper. He had that effect on nearly everyone he met. He seemed to strike that perfect balance between warrior and diplomat.
Have you the possibility, to make stories about the unknown tribes in Arizona or New Mexico for example Yagui, Tarahumara - (great perseverring Runners and enemies of the Apaches!) Opata, Karankara, Tonkawa, Havasupai, Mohave, Pima (Enemies of the Apaches), Papago, Yuma ....... These natives tribes are forgotten in the official perception of the United States? Only the Germans knows about this indians....😀And the peace treaty between Germans and the comanche tribe - still valid today...
Most Native American tribes constantly moved borders over the centuries, well before Europeans, as one would take the others land, and force others to find new lands. The Delaware were on the east coast by the 1600s. By the late 1700s they signed treaties to move west to the Ohio area. Later we’re forced to move to the Indiana territory. From there, some went down around oklahoma and Texas (I believe), while large bands migrated to the northern plains.
@jordanpedron3809 Delaware lived on the East coast until the 1700s and then moved to the Ohio region. It wasn't until around 1830-1835 during the Indian Removal Act that they were resettled to Oklahoma.
I'm sorry I didn't read your whole message. I think we agree on most things. I never read about the Delaware fighting the Black Feet, but anything is possible.
Jeff’s great-grandfather was truly a legend. The name changed due to a clerical error. Each generation’s of Bridges were known as The Dudes for good reason.
The Delaware were a Pennsylvania area tribe. When did they pack up and travel hundreds of miles to fight with the Blackfoot tribe in Montana? I realize some Eastern Indians traveled West for the fur trade but they were generally few in number.
Best old West Chanel. Greetings from Germany.
Thank you so much!

Be careful. You might earn a visit from the ATF.
I'm a little confused. Delaware Scouts? The Delaware were a Pennsylvania/Hew Jersey tribe.

The beaver was a sacred animal to the black foot. Known as the animal that would change its environment.
I thought the Delaware were from the east coast. The Black Foot more than 1500 miles away how could this be?
Yeah I was thinking the same
@@JoeSmith-sl9bq I love the history...I just can't imagine the Delaware this far west

They were acting as scouts.
Delaware Tribe signed the very first and the most treaties with the U S. Someone always wanted where they were located....

Hi James!

BlackFEET not Blackfoot.
I think the general consensus is that it's Blackfoot
It depends. In this case it's Blackfoot.
