Thank you Anna. Your lessons are very useful.
Thanks a lot for this new podcast. It contains many expressions I didn't know before. Great job teacher Anna. ❤
Hello Anna you are an amazing teacher!
keep going Anna! I love your podcasts
Thank you so much .
Take care you too.
Have a nice weekend Anna 👍
Thank you Ma'am
Thank you lovely Anna... Have a nice day...
17:18 Another nice way of putting it is; to put the pedal to the metal.
You’re right Anna i mean it’s really contradictory and crazy why sell cars that are capable of speeds in excess of a hundred miles an hour when our upper limit is 70 mph!
Very interesting topic indeed ❤
Thank you Anna for ur efforts 🙏
Anna, an answer for your question about why do vehicles that can go past the speed limit are being sold in the UK; Well, first of all many vehicles are designed for the international market which means that they should be suitable for many different countries which have various speed limits, for example for roads in Germany that have no speed limit whatsoever. Plus there are some emergency situations where you would like your car to go waaay past the speed limit for example if there is a wild fire or terrorist attack and so in those cases you would like to speed away as fast as your car would allow you to go.
Very useful as usual
I hear ya Anna those noisy cars and traffic noise as a whole is the bane of my life, too.
Excellent podcast as usual. I also hate exhaust pipes, they're very annoying😮
Thank you very much
THANK YOU ""TEACHER
Great effort Anna English
thx a lot many many times
Can I say: "Time flies when I watch your videos Anna, it seemed ten minutes ago since I started watching this podcast while I was crept up when I saw the watch that showed that 30 minutes had already passed! "?
Wow that is a compliment indeed. Thank you so much 😊
Nice
Anna? ... Je t'aime. What a wonderful episode again. You are just magnificent my lovely!
For your question at 4:14, I was about to answer you but you gave the answer yourself. Apart from the need for a small acceleration reserve, which is useful in certain situations, it is difficult to see the coherence of all this indeed. The State could be coherent with themselves, but can you then imagine the loss of revenue? ... As you rightly said.
Besides, the same thing applies here to certain aberrant limits in certain sectors which, on the face of it, don't justify them but are real traps for drivers, and where speed cameras are intentionally set up... to make them a lot of money!
Merci infiniment for the lesson, vocabulary and expressions around this theme, I learned a lot again!
By the way I think the million subscribers is a little too long to arrive, you deserve it so much!!
Are people blind? Deaf? Are they unable to assess real quality? Are they phlegmatic enough to share? ... 😊
You're boss and the very best.
Bisous bisous Anna, Love Merci ! 🙏👏😘🌹❤❤❤
I am a IELTS I prepare this exam I listen your it helps me a lot .Mam you can give me any advice.❤
Hi my lovely! 😊
I can't watch it right now and I will later but seeing the theme a joke comes to mind (which is also a good example of reasoning bias)
' 30 percent of the lethal road accidents are caused by alcohol; therefore 70 percent are caused by people who don't drink!' 😊
See ya later for a comment!
Bisous 😘🌹❤
P.S.: Of course after that joke, I must remind everyone of this very important thing: 'Do Not drink-and-drive!'
By the way, Anna, I recommend you Katharine's last lesson, a marvel! 👍
Anna I love you
From Bangladesh
Hi Anna, how about you dedicate one video to when you use the word "sir' in English. Many non-native speakers are often confused about when it's appriopriate to use this word when referring to a stranger
Nice...
Thanks
👍 Abdul basith
Hi Anna 😊 🤗 hope you don't cave in later , usually all parents do 😅
Parents usually put their foot down, they are so strict in making rules , no TV after 8 pm maybe 🤔, no sweets after 4 pm , no staying late after bed time, but sometimes they just cave in and allow all those things to happen 😅😅
15:40 Excuses, excuses!
There is, for a reason, maybe testing your limits of self-control, which leads to 78 million a year :O
Hey Anna, can you explain the last joke, I didn't get it? Does it mean that two hearts can't be a beat or can't be beaten?Thank you and have a great day❤
Your thoughts about buying a car based on the car's speed make sense. This question hasn't been asked before. Truly why do people choose expensive cars and the speed limit isn't allowed it is a waste of time.
breaking the rules is easier than keep the rules. In fact I don't know anyone who has not got a fine for breakig the speed limit. ( and so did I). You say..when I can see a big motorway and the lines are free, scarcely cars that could avoid you step the accelerator on, I did it. 110 kilometres per hour in a huge motorway could be dangerous for people that don't break the rules because their are driving absolutely slowly. that's life.
"just a fraction wider than the average car", so no buses or lorries could drive past those roads?

Thank you. Welcome to the community!
Oh, so this time it's 'English Like A Naked' 😉
😂
In uk we can go over 70
~~~~~~ Little robot to come ~~~~~~
They say a child's about to be
- A being they say to be new -
You have succeeded, good for you
I have a great need to know him
It's the second discovery
A happy man among his kind
I want to give him these small rhymes
Like a present, like a warning
Little robot about to come
Little robot about to come
They are lovely your tomorrows
They'll put two wires in your head
To bring inside all the knowledge
The one that you will have to get
To be, as they would say, honest
The wires will burn themselves out
For fear that anything might pass
What could possibly make you think
Give you troubles or states of mind
They say with fumes of gasoline
They'll accustom your throat and lungs
The perfume of seas and mountains
You won't even know about them
For your ears, they'll be accustomed
To what animals used to flee
Within you, sounds will be sorted;
All your ideas will be the same
Little robot about to come
Little robot about to come
They are lovely your tomorrows
You'll be told from your first moments
"Little one, beware of strangers
But don't fear, you're in no danger
If you keep being obedient."
You will have no choice of weapons
In your battle with life and fate
But when your comrades they'll fall
You'll have neither tears nor sadness
Yes,
You'll have a perfect existence
Always happy, always content
But if one day you have the chance
To hear my song of disturbance
Those two wires inside your head
Maybe you'll bring them together
Or you will blow everything up
Or you will become a Poet...
Little robot about to come
Little robot about to come
Ain't so lovely our tomorose ...
Hope you like it
If you bring your car to a racing track, you can utilise all the horsepower your car has to offer while not breaking the law. Moreover, you can always go to Germany to drive on their autobahn where there is no speed limit. I doubt that things you used as an analogy to this subject are considered legal in any country. 😊
16:25 ignorantia juris non excusat.
Is it just me or speed limits in the UK are ridiculously low?
who decided that speeding fines are fine? 🤔😄
As for the 'whopping' 78.3 million pounds, for your average household sure it's a 'whopping' sum, but for a city like London, let alone a country like the UK it is nothing more than peanuts.
These days aren't appropriate signs❤
I believe those smiley/sad faces that appear on flashing speed limit signs could work best on women, as they tend to be more emotional than men, therefore more susceptible to such cheap manipulation. Well, 50% success, not half bad.
Could you please speak a little slower?
Your recordings are very useful and handy Anna but these monologue podcasts are sometimes so boring. You should consider either shorten your podcasts or having a guest.
Speed bumps should be abolished altogether because they slow down emergency vehicles like ambulances and police cars.
By the way, 'bollards is pronounced "ˈbɒl.ɑːd". And it's now accepted in British English to use "learned" in the context that you've used it in your video but I prefer to stick to the usual British English use of the word. The American past participle of the verb 'to learn' is 'learned'. The British past participle is usually 'learnt'.
