It would have to have a 1,000 horsepower engine, bulletproof windows, metal and tires and sealed body so it could drive across a couple feet of standing water. It would have to have defensive and offensive weapons. And a complete 20 year warranty. Even with all that, it would be less than half that ludicrous 825k price.
These types of rigs aren't for people like us. They are for people with disposable income and or rich. lol Hey, as long as there are people willing to pay, why not? Capitalism. 🤷♂
I actually saw one of these in the flesh--or rather in the carbon fiber--about 3 weeks ago in Colorado. It was struggling to get up a hill on I-70 outside of Denver.
I have always loved this truck. That said, considering where I have travelled this would have severely limited my routes simply due to its size. Everything is a trade off. I wonder if anyone has researched how to ship such a gem. Thinking around The Darien Gap. Australia. Europe, Etc. I know they ship the Unimog, Mann and Iveco builds but honestly, its size and sweet finish is its weakness. IMHO.
Saw one of these today in a parking lot in my little home town, big black and beautiful. Imagined you'd have to give upwards of duece and a half to 3 bucks for one of them. $825k?!!! Damn. But what a beautiful rig. Good to be wealthy, ain't it?
Nice but the cooking hot plates next to the plush leather lounge there is a concern, especially if you cook up bacon and eggs as it is gunna splash all over those 'ritzy' looking leather lounges. They need to install a side mounted splash back screen between the two perhap,s one that rises up or down as required.
If I have to be honest after winning the lottery I’d want to have a r hand drive F650 that costs around 1. 4 million pounds but trying to get around some of the b roads in the uk would be an absolute nightmare so I’d plump for the f550 lti so at least I’d have the option of enjoying the trip as well as the vehicle itself
I’ve researched and researched vehicles, and this one is the best deal by far. The quality is amazing. The staff you have is amazing you’ll be hearing from you soon.
I like your presentation style. As to EarthRoamer, they have been building them for years. Well proven is maybe why they can't build them fast enough to keep up with demand. I would suggest you doubters do a little research on the company and the product, you just may be surprised.
Thats not a '825k dollar camper'. That's a camper based on an ordinary truck built with ordinary materials and workmanship being sold for 825k dollars. There is good reason these are not sold in any significant numbers outside of the USA. There are far superior constructed campers based on modern, efficient and globally sold vehicle platforms out there for the rest of the world . . .
So, no kidding, there I was living in Fort Collins and working in Denver. I passed the Earthroamer plant every workday. One day, I got of work early and decided to stop and check out the factory. I immediately knew that it was out of my price range, but I still stayed and shot the breeze with the very friendly staff. I asked for a tour, but they said, "Eh... we don't really give tours." So, I just resigned myself to checking out the line of pre-owned trucks they had on display. Then, one of their executives met me. We learned that we were both in 4th Infantry Division together. He was in 1-8th Infantry and I was in Headquarters, 3d Brigade. We were both in Iraq with 4th ID at the same time. We had never met, but we knew a lot of the same people, including some of the guys we lost. After a few minutes of war stories and lies about how cool we were, he said, "One 4th ID guy to another, sure. I'll take you on a tour." The most impressive thing I saw was that all of the components are milled on C&C machines to tolerances of 1/1000th of an inch. The entire rig is digitally mapped and every piece fits together perfectly. You won't find "fudge strips" that most RVs have. Those are the rubber or nylon strips glued into place to hide the flaws where the joinery meets the walls and ceiling. Every piece fits together as tightly and flawlessly. They're really quality rigs and definitely NOT overpriced. If you want quality, you have to pay for quality.
Ironhorse brother! I was with 1-10CAV, 4th AVN BDE during OIF I. Tell me something, does everything inside the roam built to the spec of the customer or is it all set in stone on what needs to be there?
@@CCM1199 If you ain't CAV.... I was in 3d ACR when H.R. was the RCO. Then I was in 2d SCR in Vilseck. Stay CAV, baby!!! They have several configurations, but they're all according to templates. It's not like you can put the shower up front and have a rear dinette. There's a lot of customization you can do with the materials, fabrics, flooring and colors. But they layout? You have to pick from one of their designs.
@kdm5706 My young kids race motocross up here in Canada so we've experienced our share of intense storms and seen many trucks/RV trailers get stuck in all sorts of situations. The worst are the RV Busses that get stuck driving on grass. Seeing so many lifted vehicles with big all terrain tires get stuck at Burning Man was certainly something I've never seen in the masses.
It's all relative. Same can be said about how much money u have and what u spend that on. Someone that can afford this and t's maintenance costs are sensible in comparison cuz they can afford it.

You can literally create a very good rig with half that price and buy a house with the rest.
This would be my house.
Shit if you live in the right area and have the right tools you could build two rigs and buy two houses.
Half lol 200k,max, don't know where you're from or know mechanics
Yeah but it’s an American company doing in house manufacturing and employing like 300 people, for sure contributed to price.
@@J.Artan6 Who cares if it's an American company!! I don't have to pay for 300 employees, btw construction n mechanics, not same hope you realize that
It takes you to the depths of your wallet on a wild journey towards bankruptcy but what a ride!
Excellent comment.
Can you imagine if you just bought the truck and did your own conversion you be in it around 350,000

Way over rated
@@user-xv9rk4dv8s Overrated for those of us who can’t afford it. 😜
At that price point it’s not worth it anymore
People that buys this price doesn't matter
Wait , “worth it “ This is for those that can’t spend all the money that they have . Not for us common folk.
At which it will?
I own two of them.
@@frebnewman6403 Like I said to the others money doesn't matter if one can afford them.
I saw one of these today in Jasper. Thought it looked cool and functional but that price is ridiculous.
Probably this one since no one in. their right mind would pay so much
The price is justified, because it has a wine rack.
I would say if it is bulletproof, rust proof and atleast 50 years guarentee that 90% furniture, other parts will lust long than the price is ok.
Herkezin sahip olmak istediği Mükemmel bir karavan olmuş elinize emeginize sağlık...
I'm in LOVE of this earth roamer

ouch, but did it manage?

Kudos to the driver for managing that
Must have been the driver. I've driven one of these at 75mph just outside of Denver on I70

That would be a great Birthday present for my brothers 70 birthday!
Wonderful cars😊 thank u very much for uploading😊keep IT up

I agree. EarthCruiser is makes the perfect balance of size, capability, and liveability IMO.
You could but a yacht for the same price and roam the planet. With many more creature comforts.
Lol a yacht for 800k
@@Pler1978 You can easily buy a yacht for that price not sure what you're talking about
.825 million. thing should be made of diamonds and platinum

You could make your own anything if you could be arsed. If you’re loaded you get a company to do it ^

I'll wait for Toyota version.
Do you make front bumpers or do you get them somewhere? Would love to get that same setup.
The bumpers are custom fabricated in house.
Imagine how many places you can travel n pamper yourself at 5 star resorts for that price lol

Does this Ford come with a lifetime free towing warranty? Because towing this isn’t going to be cheap, and as a Ford, it’s gonna need a lot of them. 😊
Ok this is 10 times better than my build... which cost me 16-17k$.
Only thing i dont like is the rear calipers look vulnerable sitting way out of the rim. Maybe engineer some sort of shield/guard for the rear brakes 🤔

Exactly , the people who are opting for camper living are mostly not rich or well off
for almost $900k this thing better be bullet, RPG, IED, Bomb and EMP Proof !!
it better be homeless proof to in case you wanna go to SFO
825K? Ima keep my $100 tent and a bed roll.
