Eine wirklich zauberhaft schöne Aufnahme, der wir hier beiwohnen können. So schöne Registrierungen und duschhörbare Tempi, wie man sie selten hört. Bravo!

A masterful performance, with beautifully balanced registrations! For me, this is the best performance of all the organ versions...

Thoroughly enjoyed. I have many version of the Goldbergs. At least 7 different recordings on organ. You have done a very good job of this performance.

Die unmotiviert wirkende Arhythmik verwehrt mir den Zugang zu dieser sicherlich sehr schönen Interpretation.

Gorgeously rendered. I especially like the performer's articulation. Clear, musical, and richly exposing Bach's fascinating choices in suspensions and rests. I also like the choices of registration. The registrations here in variations 7 and 11, to take just two examples, are very sensitively chosen, and show characteristics in this music which might be missed in performances on harpsichord or piano.

I always wondered if the Goldberg Variations would sound better on organ than on piano. it does. thanks. yes, everyone could find flaws in any performance based on personal preferences (pedals, tempo, whatever) but I pretty much enjoyed this interpretation. very relaxed and positive. if I compare this against the Glenn Gould heritage, both styles have their own merits. I believe this one may be closer to the original, intended concept of Bach with the pieces.

    BRAVO!
Most people don't appreciate that the organ is a dynamic instrument and that tempo is dependent on the acoustics of the moment. A sparsely filled venue results in more reverb and thus a tempo adjustment must be considered otherwise the reverb will result in an unpleasant mush; a fuller house may allow a faster tempo and louder pedal.

Thank you so much for recording this, it was an inspiration to me. I have watched the video at least ten times now, and I have started studying the piece on the organ. To begin with I will perform the Aria plus ten variations. I don't think I have the stamina or concentration necessary for a full performamce of the variations yet. I will let you know when I perform them.

Hansjörg Albrecht spielte Bach, genauer gesagt jene Goldberg-Variationen auf Klais Orgel in der Philharmonie. Das war ETWAS sehr feines. Klingt es nicht doch ein wenig anders in einem SakralenRaum?!

Harpsichord Bach' s music becomes very different in organ. And vice versa.
