Wow, never learned about her in school. So had to do my own digging as a kid on black history. She was a beautiful and amazing woman. And I hope we can spread these words to bring some kind of peace to this world.
I want to thank this lady very beautiful woman cause with out her we as black woman we wouldnt be here today I thank you Ms.truth for standing for our black nation 💜💜💜👑
I feel so blessed my mother taught me about powerful black women of history. I remember doing a project on her in primary school based on what my mother taught me and a book she gave me
Psalm of David, King of the Tribe of Judah “Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were.” Psalms 39:12 KJV
The thing to do now is emulate her. Do your best to be LIKE her. Anything less than that is looking at her from a distance. Come up close and BE like her. No doubt she was a lovely person.
I know Washington DC isn't the safest place to live. I'm not black. But, in elementary school. I was taught about Sojourner Truth and Claudette Colvin. When I got my degree and moved to a different state. I was surprised how many of my black co-workers and friends didn't even know who Claudette Colvin is. Eventhough the schools didn't teach them. Their parents knew who she was. And they should have taught them about history that the school didn't.
Heard about her in school and went to her grave, bit sad. Even more sad and discussing was you associating her with obamma. Battle Creek Mi by the way.
A strong black woman that took so much but refuse to be quiet thank you

What impact sojournertruth had on the world is amazing same with Harriet Tubman
There needs to be a movie about her. Both she and Tubman both worked with Frederick Douglas. It would be great to see this on the silver screen.
