I got this card about 2 months ago with a $7000 limit. So far I’ve used it twice for gas for my trucking business. I really like the card and was able to order additional cards for my drivers.

I love the Capital on Tap card. At about exactly 6 months I applied and got a 20k credit line. Didn't spend enough for the founder's bonus, but that's okay. One word of caution: It's a 2.9% interest rate MONTHLY. I originally confused that with APR. When I looked at the fine print, it was a 29% APR. So, yes it will revolve a balance, but it turns out that it's the card with the highest interest rate that I own.
@@KelvinMcNeil Sad update! Make sure to have solid business credit on your Experian Business report. They changed underwriting requirements since I was approved and they closed my account. They said I didn't have enough tradelines reporting (I have 6-8 business credit accounts, for 3-6 months now, but they haven't reported yet). Very appalling news I got last week.

@@tryinhard4U I don't think it was more than $300. I'm assuming the biggest indicator for them was probably number of tradelines, maybe a record of late late payments. But it's a soft inquiry. Probably biggest measuring stick is years in business and how much your business grossed in a year or per month. 😉
I got approved for 12k and with a experian business score of 54 and I've been in EX record since May 21 and got my LLC on MArch 2021. I initially got a message saying I would hear back in 2 days...never imagined getting approved for 12k!!!!!!!!! woo hoo

Thanks Kelvin I appreciate the valuable information, I believe you’re right about not freezing your credit, because a lot of people on RUclips are telling people to freeze their credit before applying for credit, and before removing inquiries, I hear so many different stores pertaining to building credit, but freezing my credit did not help me to get business credit or to remove the hard inquiries.
Credit freezes are most useful when disputing derogatory items on your personal credit report but it serves no purpose when applying for business credit.
I have applied & received an emailed stated that they’re “unable to identify my business is actively operating”. But I have tradelines reporting to my business credit. I’m confused, May you help me I have little knowledge of this.

@@mymojovapecom5166 if it makes you feel any better I’ve been approved for Chase Ink, while being denied by AMEX 5x. It’s no biggie. Just read the reasons for denial and apply again 60 days later. It’s a soft pull so it’s risk free.
I started my business in May 2022…. And I have a Chase ink and Amex blue cash….both business cards. Chase gave me a measly 7k and Amex gave me 20.9k…..I have Nav,biz credit, divvy builder acct, uline,Nav has reported already and the rest should start next month….. Do I go for more cc’s now or wait.?
To be honest you’re off to a blistering start. Sounds like you’ve been leveraging some pretty elite personal credit to get those business credit cards. You’ve already achieved what most have been working several months for. Now it’s time to hit the breaks and focus on payment experience. It’s not a race to stack tradelines. You just started your business. Now focus on using the Tradelines you have to give them something to report. Business credit is built with payment history. After you’ve used each of the cards, and paid invoices with Uline for 4 consecutive months you can add more vendors with payment terms, gas cards, loans, lines of credit etc. Pace yourself, you’ll thank me later.
Hello you mentioned they called you to verify your business address. Do you know if they will accept a virtual address or home address. I only have my receipt for my virtual address to show proof of afresh, which kind of gives it away that it's virtual address.

I just started my LLC, I have applied for Quill, Uline, and Nav credit builder. I see in Nav I can apply for this card. Should I wait until I have scores showing before applying to this card?
Yes, you’ll have to set up ACH payment like most credit cards. Then you’ll choose between the minimum payment or 10% of the balance to be drafted each month for the outstanding balance.

Hey Kelvin what's going on quick question for you? I had a business and it closed due to covid, I had a to do a PG on the business credit card that I had with the company but that went into default is there any way of removing that off my personal credit??
This is a business credit card that is lending to new business owners based on their consumer credit rating. So capital on tap is giving opportunities to business owners that would not normally be able to be approved for a corporate credit card with such high limit. It’s an equal trade off because they are taking the risk as the lender. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. The beautiful thing is there are tons of options out there.

Yes. I am having the same issue. They even say they are having reporting issues on some accounts. I have an Experian Business paid account and I can truthfully tell you they are not reporting yet for me for almost 4 months now. They say they are correcting it but has not happened yet.

I applied for this card and was denied. My personal credit score is 800 and business was opened in 2005. I requested a statement of specific reasons why my application was denied. They said they would provide it in 30 days.

You should apply because you have business credit and as long as you have good payment history (business) you have a shot at approval. Lastly, there's no risk because its a soft pull.
I got denied with a 750 credit score.. I have both American express and chase business cards and a $25000 navy federal card I dont know how the fuck i got denied
I would assume you have several new inquiries or lack of business credit. They are required to send you a letter via mail within 30 days with an explanation of the denial reasons if they didn’t tell you immediately after the decision.

@@johnlowe6560 if you’ve recently received a loan or have been applying for several accounts within the last 30 days, that would be the reason most likely. Lack of business credit would be no score, or less than 5 vendors reporting.

Is your business registration with the Secretary of State up to date? If the registration is expired that would cause issues.

Yes, that would be best. Plus, your business needs to be at least 3-6 months old to apply for this card.

You would have to dispute it like any other charge-off.

I would assume you have several new inquiries or lack of business credit. They are required to send you a letter via mail within 30 days with an explanation of the denial reasons if they didn’t tell you immediately after the decision.

I have decent business credit
Both amazon business accounts
Chase business
I haven't use my unline and gempler, quill in a couple of years dont know if that matters.
I also have a personal loan out
And just recently received a $20,000 gas card
Maybe that the reason

@@johnlowe6560 if you’ve recently received a loan or have been applying for several accounts within the last 30 days, that would be the reason most likely. Lack of business credit would be no score, or less than 5 vendors reporting.

I applied for this card 1month ago and got denied. Later applied for C.one SPARK and got approved for 2k
You may not have the required payment history on the business side.
