I much prefer the original Phantom Manor storyline...as well as the original Space Mountain: From the Earth to the Moon. The progressively decaying Phantom, from the original, was a very cool and grotesque touch. And making Melanie the tragic heroine showing us the way to safety at the end, away from the Phantom's grasp, was so hauntingly tragic. All the changes seem to be for the worse. From what other comments have said, they even bungled the Vincent Price and other language audio so that it messes with the music. Which was the only half praise I could've given it was VP's inclusion back in.

The first time I rode was in 2015 and since the pre show was in french I missed a bit of the story and then when I went early Jan 2020 (so pre covid but only by a few weeks!) I was surprised to hear English peppered in and even more surprised to hear the legendary Vincent Price.
Yeah, I don't like the changes they made to the end of the ride where Melanie, instead of pointing the way out so we wont suffer the same fate, now tries to convince us to stay like the rest. And didn't she only have the one groom who vanished before they changed it so her father killed off many suiters? Every time they try to 'improve' on a story they just mess it up.
With all its unique rides and originally brilliant design it's a shame that the french park is now probably the worst Disney Parks around the world. It's just too far behind as if they've given up on it, and even the incoming expansions are just reduced copy-paste from greater projects of the other parks, like the Marvel and weirdly placed Frozen expansion at the Studios park.
I have a idea for you what if you review the amusement park in kabul it’s a pretty interesting part And by the Way it was where the Taliban soldiers we’re riding bumper cars.
Wait was the wedding still held on the same day as the guy died by way of earth quake/Thunderbird...so he died in the earthquake and appeared seconds if not min or hours later to kill the groom because they held the wedding anyway even though her father had just died??? yea i'd be an angry phantom too! lol

I think the exterior of the house is based on the painting House by the railroad, the same painting that inspired the Psycho house.
Nicely presented.
This , buzz light-year, thunder mountain, pirates of Carribbean all better than the same variants in Disney world. Disney world really needs to up their game with their rides
Just went to Eisner Pied! 🤣🤣🤣
One of the best attraction worlwide
All the changes seem to be for the worse. From what other comments have said, they even bungled the Vincent Price and other language audio so that it messes with the music. Which was the only half praise I could've given it was VP's inclusion back in.
The face mold is of Joe Rohde :)
As far as I know Melanie also shows up in front of the balcony window. At least, I saw her there in 2019.
Also, here's a video about the extensive refurb of Phantom Manor by DLP themselves. ruclips.net/video/DVDKsqXbtfM/видео.html
Omg its so sad!!!! geeze! it just makes it so Gr8! even though the bad guy wins...WoW! this is what the next Haunted manson movie should be based on...for goodness sakes someone ...!save Melanie!!!
To the narrator at open..:
Yes, maybe real different from US, but also different from Japan's Walt Disney World-like mansion, but totally different, like those three, from Shanghai's own Mystic Manor. Now, is that Shanghai one a totally different Haunted Mansion or is that a totally different Haunted Mansion?:)(on Mystic Manor)😎😎
Thanks for the info.
Great job editing 🍁 look like fun.👍
Why does this story sound like my drama performance?!?! 🪑🪑🪑
So much cooler 🖤 I'd love to visit one day
Done both the Florida and Paris ones, and the Paris is much better.
I love PhantomManor, its really perfect😍🤩
ReviewTyme can you do Reviews on Maelstorm and Villains Tonight.
Well done !!
I needed this video.
We went on the ride in the summer of 2019 and I was just left wondering why there are cowboys at the end
That's a reference to Big Thunder Mountain. The Phantom (Henry Ravenswood) owned the Big Thunder Mine Company.
@@Mark0612 they really put it in a lot of effort, I wish I’d known the storyline better before riding, it’s so much better than I realised.
Music: John Debney(1992)
This is my favorite Disney Haunted Mansion.
I loved it.
good job
The skeleton man looks like Baron Samedi from New Orleans mythology.
The final scenes are BAAAAAD! They need to make it a proper boothill instead of the haunted town.
Me too
I miss the pre-refurb version. This one absolutely beats you over the head and a number of the design choices they made were just straight up bad.
It was "the better Haunted Mansion" until the 2018 refurbishment.
The same person in charge of the 2018 project ruined the nautilus recently and is probably gonna be put in charge of the rumored space mountain rework
I love this ride and also Pirates is much better at DLP
They've screwed pirates of the Caribbean there too , and I don't mean by adding Sparrow and my beloved Barbossa
Haunted Mansion opened on August 9th, not the 4th
8:42
Love the videos! Followed RT since the start. What's with the clunky adverts in the middle now??? Weird
Great channel
2:25 Wait, is that Joe Namath?
I like how they is nothing behind the phantom manor
I think all 4 versions are good.
Anyone else recognize Kurt Russell at 1:58 ?
I wonder if this story was used in Red Dead Redemption 2? The strange man in the painting and the burnt down town.
The Osmonds?
I been on the magic kingdom’s one
Actually were do you hear the story, isnt it all over in French?
do you think it's possible to do a Haunted Mansion-style ride underwater on a sunken cruise ship?
The original story was so much better and darker.
It's called a "dark" ride for a season
I have a idea for you what if you review the amusement park in kabul it’s a pretty interesting part And by the Way it was where the Taliban soldiers we’re riding bumper cars.
Wait was the wedding still held on the same day as the guy died by way of earth quake/Thunderbird...so he died in the earthquake and appeared seconds if not min or hours later to kill the groom because they held the wedding anyway even though her father had just died??? yea i'd be an angry phantom too! lol
