We’ve had our Chora 826’s for a week now, for stereo only duties. Signal chain is Node2i (with PD creative Power supply) -> The Chord Company C-line RCA -> Rega Brio -R (2016 Model) -> VDH Clearwater speaker cables -> 826’s. It’s epic, yes some speakers go deeper. But this is amazing. Detailed and honest. In other words if the master was questionable, it’s brutally exposed.
That's a tough question. I still own the Fluance Signatures Series, I actually use them for surrounds. Better deal for the money, I would go with the fluance, the price point you get is a lower hz at 35, a good sounding towers for $800 a pair, lifetime warranty. The downside compaired to the Chora 826 is that the Chora are more spacious and much wider soundstage then the Fluance, the Chora goes down to 48hz but with a better crossover built in then the Fluance, chora picks up more accurate sound then the fluance If you like deep hard hitting bass Fluance is your answer with a average SQ,personal I like them both. For 800 a pair you won't find anything sound better then the Signatures Series. The Chora 826 are a far more elegant sounding speaker.
Absolutely love it! Very detailed in the vocals!! Blends in very well with the Kanta 2, some day down the road will purchased the Kanta center, those Kanta 2 put a hold on my wallet..
They can be,but Focal recommends with the stands cause it tilts the towers back, to focus more on the listener and a wider soundstage. I personally recommend using the stand also for more stability.
Better SQ of course, built better, slate fiber driver, overall quality huge upgrade in Sound..Fluance is still a great company that makes great sounding speakers, I still own the Signatures, I use them now for surrounds.
Thanks for tuning in, but I use the Chora 826 as surrounds now. I did a major upgrade all around if you looked at my recent videos To names a few things The Focal Kanta 2 with Kanta Center Channel. Thanks for tuning in.

Did you manage to install the spikes with the pedestal? I couldn’t screw them all the way in
@TYGA909 Yes, they fit in perfect, except one of them was threaded somehow, so I managed to fix the problem.

@@mikez-ht7706 👍👏😁
Glad you figured out the plug issue. The Focal's blow the Fluance out of the water.
Yea I went into the unboxing as a blind test, wasn't expecting.
The Fluance Signatures Series are still a great sounding speaker for it's price point.
@@mikez-ht7706 Well said , totally agree ! Great stuff.
@@curtbradley549 Thanks🎶
Can they be placed without stand
