Yeah until you hear it was a prerecorded set cos his laptop was turned off, AND he caused the 2hr delay on the dubtendo stage because he didn't want any competing dnb.
it's a shame that all the kids these days only seem to get exposed to jump-up/clownstep style dnb. So many good subgenres like darkstep, techstep, liquid, half time etc etc. Give me Wormhole over this stuff any day. But either way still good to see there's a dnb culture here, just need the vets to start playing some actual deep tunes not just these mid-range nokia skrillex sounding bs. (/old man rant)
as sad as it is to say, it’ll prolly never happen. the vets are done w that sound sadly, lot of em now mix new school jump up n rollers. it’s an acquired taste n not mine, as a 20y/o i can agree wormhole is echelons above this in quality. just about continually tryna push wat u love tho, guess them guys like that screechy stuff now n big up to them for pushing it. the beauty is when ppl hear good music they’ll rate it. all about exposing em to it as u say
firstly skrillex is the GOAT secondly the only clowns round here are the music elitists, as a 26 year old I can say big up Andy C best DnB DJ in the business, "kids" these days get exposed to liquid/half time but the thing is half time is just kinda lame. DnB culture is drug culture and jump-up sounds really good on drugs its that simple. It's a shame the UK doesn't get exposed to Neuro, it's all about rollers in the UK probably more than jump-up
Why is it a shame that music evolves? Ill never understand this, if you were born in the 50s/60s youd be complaining about people listening to nirvana and not enjoying the rolling stones. Let go, try it out and youll find yourself enjoying life and culture so much more
@@iAceeHD whilst i hold different opinions to the (self proclaimed) old man🫡 it’s an acquired taste. and mate, i’m again i’m 20 and my intro to dnb was jump up. old school is soundsystem music, same as reggae. the sound is constructed to make you feel something, physically as well as audibly. jump up has modern programming and rlly fills out the waveform on a cdj but there’s nothing cool or beautiful about it. there is far more dissonant nu school jump up than there is non dissonant. it’s good pinger music, but for a listener like myself who draws from places like funk, jazz, hiphop, soul etc, i argue that those fast beats can just sound so much doper if u look back in time 25 years or so. i spend a lot of money on vinyl to own this shit physically and i promise you it’s a whole dimension in itself. i hear your argument. you appreciate that the sound has progressed. i’m not sitting here criticizing jump up, im describing it and i’m describing why it’s not for me! the problem with most people nowadays, and especially diehard jump up fans, is that they won’t stand for any disrespect toward their baby! dude you’ll never know unless you spend the time to have a good look back through the ages. so .. how about, search up ‘Reid Speed - The Cat’s Meow’, listen to it and decide if ya like that kinda thing!
