Every time you give us a thumbs up a Narwhal gets its horn! (maybe..)
How on earth can you remember the eel farm, and not Ron's emotional range of a teaspoon?
They remember the eel farm because of how many times they've gotten it wrong on a quiz before. but yeah, one of the most memorable lines should be easy to remember for them.
One of my favourite Hermione quotes of all time, made me laugh so much
I came to ask this very question! I love that part in the books and movie. Great moment for Hermione. :)
I was thinking teacup but I knew that couldn't be exactly right.
no idea man i was screaming while they didn’t guess it
I actually love the idea of Dudley's child being a wizard.
Apparently JK almost had a bit about that in the epilogue, and then didn't do it for some reason
My man’s would have PTSD from his childhood
“Dad can we go to the zoo?”
*starts having flashbacks
@Or Grimey, as he liked to be called kinda disappointing yeah. Also, he is related to Lily so it is totally possible that someone in his family could develop magic too. I mean Petunia came to resent magic but only as a defense mechanism for not being magical, Dudley and his dad were merely an extension of that, kinda like learned behavior.
i read a really good fanfic about this once
Better plot than cursed child
I'm low-key stunned that they didn't know the "emotional range of a teaspoon" line before multiple choice. It's so well-known.
SCB-COVERAGE OF SHAUNS HARRY POTTER VIDEO WHEN?
When will the Nr.1 Biggest H.P-Channel react in long Length to the video simply named „Harry Potter“, many wonder.
ikr
Ok, but dudley having a magical child that he loves, and coming go terms with how he treated Harry, swallowing his pride, and asking harry for help is more compelling than anything in cursed child.
100%
Totally agree
Ok-hear me out. Make a mini novel about this, like an episode of a TV show, but in a book format. We could get Marauders stories, young Dumbledore, other mini stories, but a bunch of small stories in one book. I'd buy it.
Actuallly, dudley and Harry eventually become very good friends after Book 7. So, Dudley would be good-natured about it.
Or he could make his child hide there powers making it an obscrous because of what he was taught by his parents and watching how they treated Harry his whole life I could definitely see him passing out when he finds out for the first time
I can’t believe u both didn’t get the first question it is so iconic from Hermione
wait how did y’all not get the first one without the multiple choice? It’s one of the most used clips in your videos!
I saw this comment before the question came up and I already new the answer
One of the downsides of having someone else edit their videos I suppose lol
I felt the exact same way!! I’ve even seen teaspoons with “Ron’s Emotional Range” etched onto them, how did they need multiple choice for that?
@@amberbanuelos7053 omg, you just unlocked a new need for me.
What’s funny is it’s a quote about dudes sometimes being totally CLUELESS and then… 😬😄
I fully believe that Dudley’s kids would be wizards. It would give Dudley a reason to be to know Harry and it would give them something in common. I feel like after he left his parents Dudley probably became a good person who was nice to Harry
I’d love that. Would be cool to have a story where Dudley’s kids attend Hogwarts with Harry’s.
I doubt Dudley ever became a good person, but he did get nicer towards the end of the series, so I imagine someone grumpy and course but not mean and definitely no longer a bully.
I feel like the Dursley’s where the way they are is because of the horcrux in Harry and once removed from it for a while they would be much better toward Harry
I agree the horcrux in Harry may have influenced their treatment of Harry, however McGonagall did say, prior to delivering Harry to their door step, that the Dursley’s were “the worst sort of Muggles.”
@@joshuaneth4216 No that's completely inplausible. If that was the case, it should turn everyone in Harrys bedroom in Hogwarts very aweful people. They spend way more time with Harry than any of the Dursleys ever has.
And the Dursleys were bad before he ever was there.
Fun fact: Avis is the spell Hermione used to create the birds; Oppugno is what she used to fire them
That's why I was convinced the answer was "Avis" then!
@@FAonRUclips Same.
What disappoints me more than J and Ben forgetting the emotional range of a teaspoon and that Harry named his daughter Lily is that the editor didn’t comment on it.
Fun detail about Rose and Hugo:
Rose and Ron both start with R.
Hugo and Hermione both start with H.
Dude mind blown 🤯
I already noticed
Also with Dumbledore and Harry's son, both of their names start with A
Harry does name his daughter Lily Luna after his mother and close friend so he did carry on the theme of floral names, although if you ask me, he should have named her Ruby after Hagrid who was his first connection to the wizarding world and is also an inspirational character
Ruby Luna sounds nice, but I'm a sucker for alliteration 😸
@@Imsexysryurnot I was just thinking Ruby Potter, but I like Ruby Luna too. Yea I'm a sucker for alliteration too
Giving someone the same name has quite a distinct feeling from actually carrying on the theme.
Personally feel albus should have had rubeus instead of severus
I agree but also Lily Luna just sounds so much prettier lol
I've almost lost all hope for Ben winning, but that doesn't mean I won't stop pulling for him. Go for the gold, Ben!
EDIT: These quizzes are torture.
didnt he win the last one?
@@whyshouldi9786 yeah he did
@@whyshouldi9786 But he's not on a streak. It's still pretty painful most of the time.
I mean.. its also a bit tough to win when he doesnt “Play the game” in stark contrast to J who takes every inch he Can get 😂
I mean, how did he get the woo point? She litteraly says later on that if the mistake is to close to the other answers, you cant get the point
@@sebastianjacobsen727 J's always cheated like that. It's why I hate him.
5:50, you'd also think that he'd name a child after minerva, both Snape and dumbledore got a mention (even luna did if I remember correctly) why not the one person at hogwarts who cares about him as his own person and didn't raise him to die.
i think he named his kids after people that died for him. well i guess Luna didn't die, but that was probably Ginny's say in the name.
If you haven't seen Chanel Williams shorts/TikToks you're missing out, she does a sketch which is minerva finding out what Harry has named his children and losing her sh*t bc she did so much for him
I always assume by the time that Harry and Ginny are naming their kids, Minerva is around all the time. Like a grandma sort. After all James and Albus are crawling around, Ginny says she's pregnant again, and Minerva looks at her says "Minerva is a horrible name for a kid, please don't subject her to that." in that perfect Lady Crawley voice.
Professor that cares adorable to him
And a lot of students only care about because he’s the chosen one
They should do a playlist of just Ben's wins. It wouldn't be difficult
it would not
💀 🍿
YOU DID NOT!! 💀💀
Ouch, so basically a playlist of Jay losing maybe thrice?
That was harsh... and hilarious. Thanks.
Kat's got a great voice and cadence for these question readings. Lots of personality, a lot of pleasant tone. Commenters Seal of Approval for Kat! More of her Hermione voice too pls, it's uncanny
Suggestion.
Could y'all sort Percy Jackson characters into hogwarts houses so we can hear your opinions
YES
This would be glorious.
This!
YESSS
Well, Percy is obviously Raveaaahhhaahaha, I couldn't finish typing that with a straight face.
I like the new "digital" score indicators. But it suddenly occurs to me, as long as you're changing them, to make them look like the quidditch scoreboard from the movies. Remember those little mechanically-switching numbers in the circles?
Obviously, you'd only do this for a Harry Potter-related quiz. Not for some other franchise quiz. If you were doing an MCU quiz, you could have a bunch of ants form the numbers.
OMG I love Kat's voice! it's so nice to listen to! she needs to be used more often!!
😍
@@katstine6015 like ahhhh! You have such a beautiful voice 😍
Such a lovely voice for like audiobook reading
@@mishaalm6970 not to my ears haha to my ears she has a beautiful voice like I think I can hear her talk all day
@@mishaalm6970 she also sounds really cute so maybe i'm biased lol
I haven't really been caught up with their personal lives, but man J already has 3 kids? When I started watching their channel, none of them were even married.
I felt old. Lol
I mean two of them are twins if that helps? :)
In regards to the Quidditch question it was Malfoy that Harry and Fred beat up. After Slytherin lose the match Draco starts to insult Harry and the Weasley's family which leads to Harry and Fred beating him up and getting them banned from Quidditch along with George who according to Umbridge if he wasn't being held back would have hit Malfoy too.
Oh, George would have definitely hit him; it took the chasers holding him back to stop him
Kat did a wonderful job narrating the quiz! I decided to write down my answers as i was playing along for once and only got 7 right. :1
6:11 there's actually an explanation how to get onto the platform in the acceptance letter/booklist that Dumbledore gave Tom. So its my headcanon that Harry's letter also said how to get on, but he didn't read it all
The secret lab Harry Potter chairs look so good!
That was the first thing I noticed
@bardon kinda they were sponsored by secret lab
J said "The Fletcher" during the Warby Parker ad read and I was like "I think that's the style I used for my prescription sunglasses." It was. Feels cool.
Ron and hermiones relationship is one of my favorite parts abt the books/movies. I just love how they slowly change from being friends into something more with each installment. Anyone else agree?
If Kat is the Community Wizard, how about we call her "Super Carlin Kat"? :D
I like the sound of that :)
Works for me
Sounds very cool 😎
Everyone was in a weird mood today! Wibbly chair. Wobbly table. "Wait no!" Rainy rooftop. Except Kat. Kat was ON POINT! [Shout out to the new graphics, Riley]
It makes sense that the quaffle would have those indentations, to make it easier to catch/grip while flying
What I thought too
love J‘s shirt 😄🤗
And I can‘t believe you two needed the multiple choice for question 1😄😄😄that was such an easy one!!!!🥄
I had to watch that ‘Hey Brother’ several times to admire that flawless synchronicity
ironic that they mention that a quaffle is just a sort of flat volleyball because thats EXACTLY what it is in real-life quidditch😂
I can't believe y'all didn't know it was teaspoon, I feel like that's such an iconic quote 😂
Ik right
It pained me to see how little you knew about these two, given how much you know off the bat about other random HP stuff 🤣 Then again, I've always been a big Ron/Hermione shipper so I might have memorized all these things 🥰
It is has to do with more that they are so focused about random theorycrafting that they do for videos so they end up forgetting other stuff due to it. As well both of them are more of Harry and Hermione shippers, one of them did a video on it not too long ago.
I would love for Dudley to have a wzarding child. I think I remember reading that Rowling intended for Dudley to be in the epilogue seeing his kid off to Hogwarts. However, she says now that she believes that Vernon's blood is so anti-magic (my word choice not hers), that it would negate any possibility of producing a magical child.
+
Oh my gosh I love the comparison of slugs to live snot that was hysterical also loving the new animation of the scoreboards and the j wins graphic
Im so shocked that they don’t remember basic movie stuff, like emotional range of a teaspoon, always the tone of surprise, oppugno
Ben: You have knocked that over like 17 times! J: I-*accidentally knocks it over again*
The clear glasses might not be a good idea with your kids hiding them from you all the time.... lol
Ohhh Ben... my heart finally broke for you on the 'Hermione's Boggart" question! You were there! Just... a few chapters ahead! 😢
YOU CAN NOT TELL ME THAT YOU'VE READ THE BOOKS AND WATCHED THE MOVIES MULTIPLE TIMES, AND STILL DONT KNOW WHAT RON'S EMOTION RANGE SUPPOSEDLY IS!?!?!?!?!?!?
When J was impersonating Dudley all I could hear was... "My name is Trevor, Trevor Slattery... I'm an actor..." Totally wrong fandom but right all the same haha
The Waddiwasi shirt is just hilarious J!😂
Even though I know Kat is on the team, when you guys said "Our community wizard Kat" I just imagined a magical cat sitting behind the camera! LOL
Yay BEN - you got my Quizmaster Question correct~!!! Woo hoo - that was awesome, brother :D - Okay, but now, I have either a question or perhaps a theory pondering thing..."While Harry was still a Horcrux when were the only two times he was ACTUALLY in danger of dying?" This is a topic my husband Matt and I have been bantering about recently - he posed the question and began crafting a theory. Any thoughts?
Off the top of my head as I’m not able to reference the books, here’s a list
Not counting Voldemort until year four due to mother’s protection.
Year 1- the troll, Fluffy
Year 2- the spiders, basilisk
Year 3- the dementor encounters, and a werewolf as well. Also time travel.
Year 4- every task, even if Crouch Jr. was “helping.” And Voldemort’s rebirth
Year 5- anemia due to Umbritches blood quill. In all seriousness, Department of Mysteries (the Veil)
Year 6- the cave. Subsequent events
Year 7- Constant danger.
That’s assuming he’d actually survive his relatives. His cousin has the physical weight to do some serious damage even as a child, before taking up boxing.
@@Author1219 My husband's hypothesis would stipulate that as Harry is a Horcrux that he is as indestructible as only certain things can destroy a Horcrux. So he would agree that the basilisk is one of those times as a basilisk (it's fangs_ can destroy a Horcrux (and was clearly dying before the Phoenix tears were applied), and the time he was in the Room of Requirement escaping the Fiend Fire because that can also destroy a Horcrux. All the rest of the times you have listed would not destroy a Horcrux. Now - that's my husband's theory.
I think what makes Horcruxes so hard to destroy isn’t the bit of torn off soul in them but the numerous protections put on them by their creator. And if I were dealing with an artifact of evil such as that, I would put it through the most destructive methods I had access to in order to be sure it was gone.
Evening versions of newspapers are often published only in case there are some significant and important news after morning, that need to be shared urgently.
I think the Evening Prophet is this way too.
I tied with J ... score 11. I love playing along with these quizzes and trying to remember obscure facts from the Potterverse.
How did you not get the emotional range of a teaspoon ? It’s so iconic
How did they need the multiple choice for that first question that line is freaking iconic
Its really cool seeing the evolution of J vs B from white boards and markers to it being very much like a game show.
So I just twelve and my brothers are 16 and 20, my brothers each read and watched Harry Potter when they were eight or nine, but I only finished all the books and movies recently, I have taken a lot of house tests which a split of hufflepuff and ravenclaw leaning slightly towards hufflepuff, I had mentioned I was hufflepuff to my dad and middle brother who both just repeated “why?” This made me question and I took the official one and got hufflepuff, told my oldest brother and he said”well, I’m ravenclaw and thought you would have been too,” (which is logical because I’ve skipped two grades in school) I start reading the description on pottermore and it’s says “Ravenclaws, in particular, assume that any outstanding achiever must have come from their house. “ and we start laughing because that was the first thing he said when he found out. We then just started talking about your videos and plot holes
Daisy Dursley is SUCH a great name! Her being a witch is totally head canon now.
Dude… the teaspoon is legit the best moment and they didn’t even know it!!!
J: I thought Harry might have gone with a flower name
Lily Luna: Am I joke to you?
I'm really suprised yall got the first question wrong. I quoted that instantly, because it's the scene where they are sitting it the common room and after Hermione says the line they all start laughing and that's one of the memories Harry looks back on when Voldemort is basically possessing him at the Ministry of Magic.
Oppugno >> Latin for "I attack" (I think, it's been a long time since I was doing Latin vocab)
When was Avis used, i totally thought the bird spell was Avis even before the multiple choice, is that how she summoned them maybe, and sent them with oppugno? As soon as I saw oppoguno i thought maybe but stuck with avis and was wroooong!!
Yes, it was very much a trick question. The birds were almost certainly summoned with Avis (though not specifically mentioned). They attacked because of the explicitly written Oppugno.
Also Ollivander used it to summon birds from Krum's wand during GOF
Oppugno is Latin for "I attack" in fact. If you know your Latin (which I know is quite rare nowadays) you know the answer.
If we could have more kat asking questions that would be lovely the way they say consonants like Ks and hard Cs is very satisfying
It's so funny. The ones that are so easy to them, I struggle with so much. And the ones they struggle with are so easy to me.
Here's a video I'd like to see your take on: Why were all of Voldemort's (intentional) horcruxes treated so differently?
Diary - Left with Lucius
Ring - Left at the Gaunt house
Locket - elaborate protection
Cup - in a Gringots vault with two protection spells
Diadem - hidden in the Room of Requirement
Nagini - this is the odd one out because it was a hasty addition, not sure we can really count it
how did they not know the first question!!? it was the most iconic!
Yes, another edition of Jenjamin vs Bonathen!
Let’s goooo
I would love to see a JvB where its all about spells, where they have to guess what each spell does. XD
The emotional range of a teaspoon is a very common thing said here in the south of England…. Or at least it has been said to me an awful lot 😂😂
Easiest quize yet. I got all of them right for the first time ever.
Seriously you need to do videos of J trying to find his honey 🤣😂
I love how Ben jumps into his seat. It really shows his inner 3 year old.
I love that I saw you guys react to the Dudley's magic daughter headcanon in real time! Maybe you make a video reacting to headcanons??
A) Kat = best questioner ever 🥰
B) I tied J, but I got all of the questions the guys took multiple choice on *before* the choices were read 😁
New j vs Ben episode
I always enjoy these videos 😁
Bro, how did they not get the first one?!?! ITS A TEASPOON!!!!!!
Kat, nice job on the first time being the reader of questions for the J vs Ben. Is there an opportunity for Mother Carlin to ask the questions (seeing as Father Carlin has gotten to read them already as well)?
Kat smashed it 👏🏻
Finally! A new video of Harry Potter trivia. Or anything Harry Potter related for that matter
off to a great start Question one and I'm already screaming at them 😂
I have a theory idea that might be really dumb but also really good.
What if thestrals are just dead hippogriffs?
They both have beaks
They both have wings
They both have tails
When birds don't have their feathers (in this case hippogriffs) they have leathery skin like the thestrals
You ride them the same, by tucking your legs behind the joints an then gripping onto the mane
Hippogriffs are sometimes symbols of life, while thestrals symbolize death
Please tell me what you think of this, I think it seems possible
J was hilarious: I need help getting on the platform - I tried punching it! 👊
My guess is that the quaffle is designed the way it is to make it easier to catch in the air when thrown to you (and easier to throw).
I feel like J was about ready to fight with the otter funko pops cause he kept knocking it over 🤣🤣
I knew question 1 right away because it’s my favorite Hermione burn of the series!
Y’all doing quizzes are my husband and I’s favorites!
1:45 at first I was think “our community wizard ‘cat’” but turns out it’s Kat.
I just had an idea for a J vs Ben episode! Harry Potter Background Character Quiz! Basically the whole quiz is about ppl thay didn't get much mention in the books. Lol
9:38 last one was no good 😂😂😂
Drives me crazy when I know the answer to a question immediately and you guys are stumped and need the multiple choice and then get it right. Like, I want half a bonus point for knowing it without the multiple choice. I knew all of them this time yet still lost to J with a 9!
8:38 I feel like that wouldn't work on Hermione though because she's muggle-born and therefore probably doesn't find charming what witches do. If I remember the Lore correctly someone who is Muggle born means that their parents and grandparents are not magical but someone in their ancestry was and that's what causes a person who is born to muggle parents to be witch/wizard.
Crazy that they didn’t get the first one immediately, I feel like that’s a pretty famous quote
Yay!! New J vs Ben!!! I was listening to a different J vs Ben when this popped up!!
I love that they also believe that Daisy is a witch and I really wish she was on the platform with Dudley in the epilogue
I got 10! And, two of the ones that you did multiple choice on I knew even before hearing the answers. I’m very proud of myself
I have officially fallen in love with Kat... Amazingly done Everyone.. Ben you were so close!
Omg Omg the Scores have become Basketball Electric things I love it!! ♥️♥️❤️👍 shoutout to that guest Annoucer who totally killed it!!…
That last question gave me a head cannon: Ron was in the Slug-Club years before Harry and Hermione.
Noooo, Jay didn't deserve that point! You can't get a point with an alternative word that appears in an incorrect multiple choice answer!!!
Hoooow did you not get the first one without multiple choice? It is so iconic!!!
I always root for Ben. I always root for him!! I don't know why, I just do. I'll continue to do so.
Anyway, I should really read the series again. It's been over 10 years now. I bet they're really easy reads as an adult.
The fact that I, someone who has never read the books or seen the movies, knew the first question about Ron's emotional range and Ben and J didn't makes me feel proud for some reason 😂😂
April Fool's Day idea: Umbridge is not evil, but a misunderstood Karen.
No nonsense haircut (CHECK)
Calls for authority figure when challenged (CHECK)
Tries to rally bystanders to her side (CHECK)
That’s be hysterical
Me shouting “TEASPOON” for a minute at my TV😂
The time Hermione kinda invited Ron to Slughorn party and Harry was so shocked by it he dropped his planted pot in herbology.
That’s why I remembered it.
