    Thank you I have watched this video a few times as the machine was totally alien to me when it came, I think a quick watch refreshes my memory, I have not used all the programs over the few months I have had the machine. The only negative things about the machine for me is the Soap try I find they is usually a little residue left in the 2 stain/power dispenses, also which is not the thought of the machine but I bought the Pods but for a white wash I do not find the washing comes up as white as with soap powder. The time is the only other thing, so long how can this be economical?

    i didn't expect those white\blue LEDs - i'm used to green and orange LEDs on hotpoint\indesit machines. personally i think these white\blue ones look great. i think the reason they kept mixed wash+dry to 1200rpm max is because often mixed cycles are designed to wash both synthetic and cotton together, and hotpoint\indesit synthetic cycles are capped to 1200rpm. but i agree with you, it would be more logical for it be 1400rpm to reduce drying time as much as possible. by the way, happy new year!

    • @TechyBen
      @TechyBen 6 месяцев назад

      Yep. The problem is (from my experience as a useless bachelor ;) ) that synthetics hold a lot of water and don't squeeze out like cottons do. So spinning them at 1400+ speeds is DANGEROUS. As the machine might hop out of the kitchen and take a ride around the garden at those speeds and weights!
      I found the 1200 spins in Bosch and Miele to be as good as the 1400/1600 Hotpoint spins. But it depends on the drum size and type it seems.

    • @thelaundrycookie1200
      @thelaundrycookie1200 6 месяцев назад

      the logic behind them capping synthetic cycles to 1200 is that these fabrics don't usually need faster speeds. in the past, synthetic cycles always used to be capped at 800\900rpm. though nowadays synthetic washes are being treated like cotton washes - a lot of manufacturers are giving them 1400rpm and very intensive cotton-style wash actions. some types of synthetic fabrics can hold more water than cotton, but they generally spin out much easier, hence the reduced speed and significantly reduced hold at full speed on most synthetic cycles. it's not dangerous to spin any fabric at any speed, and machines won't go walking from that (unless they're very poorly built). this is what the machine's load balance sensing is for, to protect the machine and its surroundings during spin cycles. the thing is, high speeds may crease certain fabric excessively or misshape them. hence the reduced speeds on certain cycles.
      spin performance varies wildly between brands, it's all down to drum design and spin pattern. i've found the best performance to be from 2010s LG, due to their sensible length holds at full speed and effective drum designs. and the worst performance to be from current hisense WFQ- models (ie their own models), due to very poor drum design with almost no holes in, along with a ridiculously short hold at full speed despite having a spin spray when it reaches full speed. the results from a normal 1400rpm in my hisense is probably equal to that of around 800rpm in my LG, maybe even slower... bosch fits quite close to LG on this scale, they generally spin well

    • @TechyBen
      @TechyBen 6 месяцев назад

      @@thelaundrycookie1200 I certainly found synthetics always come out damper than cottons, and often had jumpers/jeans hold so much water it's not good for the machine/load balance (load balancing hasn't always existed). But I agree that drum design/cheapness seems to come into it. As said, Miele and Bosch can have smaller drums that do better than Hotpoint and LG with massive drums (We had one of the early 12kg+ drum machines back in the day :P ).

    • @thelaundrycookie1200
      @thelaundrycookie1200 6 месяцев назад +1

      indeed, back in the day balance sensing wasn't really a thing. instead, machines just flung the load around the edges of the drum and hoped for the best. although back then, machines were built significantly better so they could better withstand the levels of imbalance from such unbalanced spins.
      i find drum volume itself rarely affects spin performance. design and spin programming is everything. unless the drum is wider than standard (example - haier).

    • @TechyBen
      @TechyBen 6 месяцев назад

      @@thelaundrycookie1200 I remember the "pancake" motor LG. It had a massive drum, and we'd put it in demo mode in the store and it'd spin quietly... till we realised it was rubbing the rubber seal dry for too long and starting to get hot and smoke! XD

    Do you have to put the dial onto cotton wash , just to dry. When I put it on dry only, water started going in🤷‍♀️.

    • @NickCaruana
      @NickCaruana Месяц назад

      Well, depending on what cycle you put it on, depends on what cycle it dries on. Similar to using an actual dryer, you’d select a Cotton or Synthetics cycle, as Cotton uses a higher heat to dry, and Synthetics is a lower heat. When it comes to water, that’s because the washer will either use steam to aid drying, using the residual heat from the steam to dry the laundry, but equally uses water to condense. Traditionally, condenser dryers use cold air running through a condenser, removing the moisture from the humid air and condensing it into water. The washing machine doesn’t have a condenser, so instead uses cold water to condense the humid air.

      Quite a common comment from our customers now. A lot of modern machines use a lot less water than machines of around 10 years ago. I would check to make sure the water tap is open enough first. If it isn't then the pump on the machine will be quite loud as the pump is trying to pump the water through but the pressure is not enough.
      If it is on ok, then i would keep an eye on the wash performance. If the clothes are coming out clean, then i wouldn't worry and just keep an eye on it.

      I believe you turn the dial to the applicable cycle, say Cotton for towels or t-shirts, or Synthetics for a low heat dry. Then you select the ‘Dry Only’ option. Need not be alarmed if water goes in, as the machine uses water to condense the humid air, and drain away the water. Equally, I can imagine that the ‘Dry Only’ option is available with the Cotton, Synthetics, Delicates, and Woollens cycles.

    Hi. I usually do a quick wash, 30m maximum. The leaflet says, "Select the wash cycle compatible with the type of garments you wish to dry". All my garments get the same program because there is not a snowball in Hell's chance I'm going to take hours to do a washing. In order to do a 'dry only' does it have to be set to a wash & dry program so even if I use the 'quick wash', I have to reset it to a program that includes a drying cycle and then attempt the 'dry only'? I'm a very literal individual. These instructions are obviously confusing considering the amount of comments/questions. If the answer to my question is 'yes', then the type of garment doesn't matter a damn! What matters is the program selected includes a drying cycle to 'skip' to, otherwise the machine has a hissy fit.

    How do you clean the fluff and water when you use the tumble dryer.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Месяц назад +1

      These don't have a filter like a standard tumble dryer would have. It uses the waste hose to get rid of the excess fluff and also the water that would normally collect in the water container.

      This will be the child lock that has been accidently activated, if you have a button on the machine that has a key symbol, press and hold it for about 3 seconds and hopefully you should be back to normal

    Colour catcher keeps getting stuck in the drainage pipe and block the machine.

      I know this is a very late answer, but get a zipped mesh laundry bag and put your colour catcher in that. That will solve your problem.

      @@lords-electrical Do you have any beko dishwashers in your store? And have you ever done a review on a Beko dishwasher? Currently in the market for buying one and no one in our stores here can do an explanation like you can.

    Love this video.. just ordered one of theese for my grandma and iv been tumble drying the bed sheets on A3 and they have been coming out wrinkly. I need medium heat setting so will try A1 ... at 17:30 ruclips.net/video/pzr4Y65FRpY/видео.html you explain the steam hygiene setting. What is meant by "port hole to become hazzy " is it ok to use this setting for every wash as we only use the intense setting as its the most simple setting.

    ... WHERE IS THE FILTER!?

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  Месяц назад +1

      It doesn't have a filter like a normal tumble dryer would do, it has access to the pump behind the strip at the bottom of the machine.

    Just bought this machine and I’m unhappy with it on so many levels.
    Cannot get the clothes dry at all!
    The drum is full of steam, and clothes are always wet/very damp, no matter what we have tried.
    I’d love to return it to the shop, sick of it, and no way is this economical, or environmentally friendly 😩👎👎
