Dude gradually became a superstar after this movie. His acting had that originality. Also, the first half of this movie really brings a very weird but special flavor of Delhi city that I can't get enough of.
yrf gave ranveer band baaja baaraat and then gave him ladies vs ricky bahl. ranveer was awesome in bbb and it's very impressive how he nails that performance naturally in his very first film and then he did ladies vs ricky bahl. ranveer was ok in ladies vs ricky bahl but it's not a performance where i feel he gave his 100%. he was supposed to play an antagonist in that movie but somehow i feel his performance was not up to the mark. thankfully, ranveer quickly reinvented himself and though he had misses like kill dil and befikre, he became the undisputed king of bollywood
