Cena was a body builder at that time and join Ohio wrestling in 2001 he didn't dabut in WWE till 27 June 2002 you did not see him in 1999 because he was not in any wrestling at all yet and still in his body builder modeling at that point
His 1st match was against Kurt Angle and he went by the name of the prototype and transitioned to the doctor of thuganomics in 2003 hence the ruthless aggression gag on the fire fly fun house with bray it was to poke fun at how goofy he looked when he debuted even cena him self said he hated that look 😂

Dudes been carrying the company on his back since mid 2005. From The mid 2000s to the late 2010s, Cena helped carry that company. Especially in the wake of the Benoit murders and the transition from Ruthless Aggression to PG, Cena’s been the guy.
