Hello There, a fantastically well detailed/well made walkthrough of the Vampire, with a good balance of guidance and exploration, thank you for publishing this as it's really interesting to see how the Vampire actually works and maintained. Cheers Peter
Actually Bobejaanland's suspended coaster is an early vekoma suspended- not an arrow. Vampire remains the only arrow suspended coaster outside of America- and 1 among only 5 operating in the world
WOW awesome video! i have been going on this ride for pretty much its whole life, i remember vividly the change between arrow and verkoma, and its seems like yesterday. i can also rememeber when samurai was there and it was such a huuge deal when that opened!
Ironically, I once wrote a short story involving a teenager loosing his shoe on Vampire, sneaking behind the ride to get it, getting lost, and meeting a freindly ghost named Charles in the park's nonexistant junkyard, which stored the transfer track and the original trains.
Good spot! Although the video was uploaded in 2010, I reckon it was from 2009 as that was the final year of the Merlin/Tussauds logo. It changed to the logo we see today in 2010, when KOBRA opened.
Fun fact: did you know that people would have to be 1.2 to get on the arrow trains? That’s why they changed it in 2001 to vekoma so smaller adventurers good go on it.
I love this but im really upset i was there then so i went in and cried i saw the broken bit and wated for it to get fix i was so happy when it was the next day in the zufari hotel.
TheFlyingPenguinMan - In Vampire's Later Years, It Started Breaking Down & Having Maintenance Problems, By The It Was Getting Refurbished, Arrow Dynamics (The Original Manufacturers) Had Gone Bankrupt. So For The Whole Of 2001, Vampire Was Closed. & Then In 2002, Vampire Reopened After Being Refurbished & Having The New Vekoma Trains!
The ability to open the ride was the main thing gained. The old system was knackered and with the manufacturers not making bits to fix it any more an alternative system had to be sourced. This was the rather inelegant result. Shame, the old trains were way better.
@wwwCOASTERFORCEcom Thats ok. Did'nt mean to say it the way I did and not explain myself. How do you do it though, as in... how do you manage to get good recordings onride without staff telling you to put it away or like this, being able to get behind the scenes.. I would love to take my group about. Do you think you could help?
@wwwCOASTERFORCEcom Thank you very much. I know that Leigh will go to do a documentary for storm surge because he likes his documentarys :D Can i ask which member i am talking to now? because alot of members use this account. Hope to see you soon.
You cant just do it, it is prearranged by the parks and is only done when the ride has a huge issue that will take the entire season to fix. Also not much to see on Saw, relatively short ride time.
@wwwCOASTERFORCEcom Oh dear snoo ;) I will do, hope that you can come to thorpe... i am REALLY keen in meeting all of you, It would be a privalage! No, In fact a honor just to see you guys/girls... group :) It's been really nice talking to you ECG... Hope we can continue this conversation in Inbox? I have some questions, but i dont want to keep spamming your comment feeds. If thats ok with you?

CoasterLive... heard of it?.... Anyway, I looked on the sight. we are planning to go to Thorpe Park. Not alton... sorry, but a certain person cant afford to go because we all live down in london and 1 in america and 1 in swizerland.

I saw the tour guide on my first ride. I was leaving the station and he was just standing there!
Love The Behind The Scene Of My Absolute Favourite Ride
Very cool, wish I could have the chance to have been there - the Vampire Ride has always been my absolute favourite!
Actually Bobejaanland's suspended coaster is an early vekoma suspended- not an arrow. Vampire remains the only arrow suspended coaster outside of America- and 1 among only 5 operating in the world
They should hire a company to recreate the original cars for it.
God I miss working on this ride!
went on this a few years ago. Great ride. didn't notice the guy on the organ but it was so greatly themed inside they did a great job.
Bruh the organ dude is right ahead of you as you enter the ride builder

Perrygallo he paid chessington probz
You guys are really awesome for sure, thanks always
soz, how did you get on this tour?
Was this videoed while Chessington was owned by Tussauds as the engineers jacket has the Tussaud Chessington logo

Mcdees in the morning then onto Vampire and bubble work straight after 😁 good old days
I miss The Count's Cauldron McDonald's. Very good old days indeed!
They used that effect that he explained at 7:25 in the 2011 ad for Chessington
I bet you forgot about this comment
Lol i just realised that guy looks abit like Andy Parsons from Mock the Week XD
Fun fact: did you know that people would have to be 1.2 to get on the arrow trains? That’s why they changed it in 2001 to vekoma so smaller adventurers good go on it.
this and dragons fury are my favs at chessington!!
Same!!!!
same
Just wondering, What is your favorite rollercoaster?
Interesting. Did they sell vip tickets or something for it?
I have some odd sense of loyalty to the Vampire Ride??
I love this but im really upset i was there then so i went in and cried i saw the broken bit and wated for it to get fix i was so happy when it was the next day in the zufari hotel.
Love this ride!
oh and how did you guys get to be on this tour?
Will we be doing this on Ghosterforce 8?
Do someone know why they changed to vekoma?

Hopefully they can rebuild the original trains and replace the vekoma ones.
They can't Because it would create too much stress to the ride and arrow isn't a thing anymore

when i went i was terrified but it was fun and i went with my friend and she was crying and were both 12!!
how did younget on this tour
writhing in jealosy right now....but I have been in the control box so....nerrr
Wow. thats awesome
So is there a pov video for this ride?
Nerdfighter21 yes
very nice
Since was the theme tune added?
Ever since it opened, but there are 3 different versions. The original 1990 version, the 2002 refurbishment version and the remixed 2014 version.
Now remixed in 2020.
The ride reopened in Spring 2001.
This vedio was here when i was not here and my brother

@wwwCOASTERFORCEcom Bit rude, but what ever... and i ment a "Behind the scenes" not a documentary... even though leigh did a great job on them!
@wwwCOASTERFORCEcom Do you think you can do one for TH13TEEN or SAW?!
You cant just do it, it is prearranged by the parks and is only done when the ride has a huge issue that will take the entire season to fix. Also not much to see on Saw, relatively short ride time.
