The object he is holding is a 3d Klein bottle, a representation of how a true Klein bottle should act.
It was actually called a Klein-area. In German Kleinsche-Fläche. But in english there is no letter ä, so they just used a. So they called it kleinsche-flache, which they then interpreted as Kleinsche-Flasche, which translates to Klein-bottle.
No. It's called a Kleinsche Flasche because in our 3D world it does look like a bottle. But it's more like a tube and therefore also named Kleinscher Schlauch. Nowhere it's called Kleinsche Fläche.
Man if you read the dictionary I'd listen to every word
Dude your voice is so soothing
"cant exist in 3d" i mean it exists tho doesn't it?
It’s not a real klein bottle, it’s a 3D projection of one.
@@muffinconsumer4431 "there are objects that cant exist in our world" YOU DONT SAY!!! if there is something that cant exist then dont make one that can exist and say that it cant, thats just stupid bro
@@mushromus7764 What a ridiculous thing to say. Cubes can’t exist in two dimensions, so we draw them in a way we can understand. By your logic, we shouldn’t have any 3d modeling, because those objects can’t exist on a 2d screen.
@@muffinconsumer4431 yes but you wont see me showing a square saying "this object cant exist in our 2d world" im saying ofc there are things that cant exist in our world but dont show of this "amazing thing" when its literally just a version of a cube that can exist in our world
@@mushromus7764 To 2d beings, a projected cube is an amazing thing. If you stopped being close-minded for a second, you would realize how truly incredible a real klein bottle is, requiring a jump into 4d space to exist without passing through itself.
