Amazing doing it on a Brampton, I did it back in 2015 without the Cyprus climb and remember that Welcome to Whistler sign! A definite case of being a bit premature if you thought it was nearly over at that point. Will do it again - perhaps 2026!
Congratulations! I finished pretty much alongside you with the big red bike & dinosaur, didnt realise at the time youd done the forte though so very impressed seeing this now!
Did the Granfondo this year too. At the finish, my friend who did the Forte mentioned there was someone doing it with a crazy bike with small wheels. Ah! I then knew you were around lol
Have done this twice, minus the detour up Cypress Mountain, but this was 10 years ago. I'm thinking about signing up for next year before I get too old.
@@alasdairmaughan1 probably not on the default 50T at least for me 🤣 on the 44T definitely but then you will be even slower. I really enjoy the 12 speeds but I admit I'm an edge case of Brompton t line riders treating it as a road bike
That's impressive and you inspired me even more to ride my Brompton! This bike is fantastic, it can really take you anywhere you want to go!!! But honest question, how did you/people get back to Vancouver? I suppose you didn't bike your way back, rigth?
@@LLF1234 the event organizers had bus and bike transport back to Vancouver. Many locals arrange pickups from their friends and family including me :) though I probably had a much easier time fitting it into the car 😀
I was in Whistler on my MTB for labor and you are right the views are just amazing. For the next challenge you need to do a climb on a XC bike. After all they are all about the climb and you can wear your Best Side Cycling gear with it. Also how is your friend Jasmine doing??
You're in for a treat! I have a climbing video with that XC bike soon. Also Jasmine is doing well, she actually did this ride too (but the normal course). She will be back :) I hope
Quick question hahaha I've signed up to the 2025 grand Fondo and i was wondering, do you think it's possible to do it on a mountain bike? As opposed to a road bike?
@@GDoggProductions yeah there's no issue taking a mountain bike but if you want the completely car free experience there is a time cut off til they open it back up. Otherwise you should be good.
Waffles were indeed 10/10
They were so good! Great to see you at the finish line and that you rode so strong
Way to go! Happy to see you twice on Cypress!
Thanks! Good to see you

Congratulations, Hanoch. The video is inspiring.
Inspirational and impressive ride...big kudos on this (I was one of the ride marshals on the Forte) 👏
Thank you! Hope you had a great day out there and thanks for keeping us safe
Definitely want to do that ride next year! The views look great! And the waffles!
This was such a fun ride! What did you think? What challenge should i try next? Were you on the ride? What did you think?

Well done Hanoch!

Seen you at the start line and on the cypress descent after that you were gone! Glad I stumbled across this channel

Super, Natural British Columbia. BC is a beautiful place.
Congrats! You make your T line purchase worth every cent when it's used to increase your heart rate n not solely for aesthetic purpose.
This is so impressive!!!

No way did you do this on a folding bike 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Props to you champ!!!

The Ragbrai would be a great challenge for a Brompton. 👍
Nicely done! Do you think it’d be possible with a t-line 4-speed?

I think your next ride video needs an 'On your left!' counter somewhere on the screen, haha.

You didn't mention how people return to Vancouver. Are there shuttles for the return?
Very impressive, thanks for sharing! What's your W/Kg?
I'm probably right around 4.1 w/kg FTP.
@@BestSideCycling Wow, that's massive. How long did it take for you to get there and how many hours do you ride a week?

@@BestSideCycling It's a small world. My cycling friends know Daniel.
My goal next year is to climb up then go back down.
Getting back to Squamish is dead easy. But then you've got to get back to Vancouver on crampy legs.

Good luck! Just beware of the gravel in the shoulders on the way down definitely not as clean as going up
