Hi Hannah, sorry to have missed the Brilliant Bikes gang but had a great day. My wife and I went in heat 2 and were last away, unfolding under pressure gave us fumbly fingers! My first time down the ramp was a bit nail biting, by lap three i was throwing myself down with abandon, comfortable in the knowledge that I was in easy reach of several excellent hospitals 😉 Though my wife and I are into our 70's I still felt very much a part of the whole experience, so many lovely friendly people.
Thank you for covering this event and for bringing joy to our lives once again! As a very old Brompton user I admire that "have a go" spirit. Almost as much fun as the surprise test of waterproof Brompton bags by randomly jumping into a swimming pool.
Great review of the day. I was there and said hello. Also featured in Heat 7 and just seen how slow my unfold was. I agree the organisation left something to be desired and sorry you missed out on the women's final. I hadn't heard anything about that either.
Thank you for sharing it was great seeing what the race was really like as I sit here in California. I might even stop by your shop on my next visit to London in October. Cheers! Ray
Wish I’d seen you there to say how much I like your videos, but my dog was in the basket of my T line and she was getting a bit fed up. 😂 Enjoyed the bits of this video that were in focus. 😉
@@brilliantbikes ah bless…glad to see you are in fine fettle..sounds awful....if truth be told i think i would see meeting you as a life goal above meeting the guy who runs Brompton 😂 Keep up the great content ❤️
Completely BRILLIANT as usual 🙌 Well Done and wish I could have been there - hate queues too and Bromptons are not only faster than Lamborghinis, they are also a damn sight more stylish! 😂😂😁
Great video. My 2 cents which is all its worth... Ive been running Tubalitos on Tan Ones for over a year without a single fail. I live on a rural island with reasonably poor roads. They are so fast I cant imagine ever using anything else.
Thanks for watching - and for sharing Our (can I say heavy) mechanic also tried them for winter commuting combined with Schwalbe One tyres donated by a customer who was swapping to something else They lasted 6 months over the winter with no issues Must be our camera mans fault - as you can see his eyes are rubbish - without glasses he films out of focus - so probably didn't see some obstacle!
That was an absolute joy to watch. Thank you so much and what a thrill to meet Will and for adding instant value to your shop's autographed T-Line. What are you going to do with it? Sell or keep?
Wow you guys really captured the atmosphere and organised chaos so well! You could have won the final and best outfit! So good of you to help promote smaller RUclipsrs like that guy Simon. Never heard of him or his channel. 🤣
HI! It was great meeting you! Sorry I barged into you. You looked scared of me 🥲 I'm the guy with the orange costume and yellow hair, I'm featured on your video! you can see me running at the 9 minute mark 😅🤣 Love your videos!
It was my first ever BWC and I absolutely loved it! My unfold was a disaster - I did a David Millar (if anyone remembers his troublesome start in The Mall). It was good to meet Hannah too. I really hope to be able to do it again next year.
"I'm not going to race, I'm just going to enjoy myself". You can't help yourself Hannah. New name should be Hannahnochio!! Well done. It was thoroughly entertaining.
Thank you so much for watching! I know I’m rubbish I just did not want to hurt myself - mountain bike race in Canada to look forward too…. I’m planned to just bumble…. Then started enjoying it….
As a little more than Heavy Dane (not a Great Dane) I would have loved to meet You, but sadly I wasn't able to participate, from being banned to ride in the Wrong Side riding Countries by my dear wife! I am good going down hills though!! Finn. Denmark
@@brilliantbikes I am 76, but my Brompton has become lighter for each year since when I bought it in 2019, during Covid19, so today it is below 9 kilo and still with mudguards. And with all the frame Protection to buy as Brompton has made a lousy job from the Factory! Clear Tape! Finn 🙂
Thanks for watching - and the great question We didn't, though we almost did a completely different version - where we were going to do bike / spec checks on as many Brompton's as possible and get their owners reasoning For us on a 5 speed P line and 4 speed T Line - we both wished that we had had 56T chainrings - though the course was fairly flat Next time!
We have just spent 10 days in Fiji on our two T-line 12 speeds on the roughest roads, and we have had no punctures or damaged tubes. The tubes are not rubbish.
I think they can generally puncture more easily than conventional ones but they still hold for a good while and can withstand some serious abuse! If you install them inside thicker tires (Marathons) they can probably live as much as conventional tubes!
Please could you comment whether the T-line was a definite advantage. Scrutinising the videos there seemed to an alphabet soup across the range of entries !!!
Yes there was a massive mix of bikes! I thinking depended on what you are comfortable with! The faster riders did have bigger chain rings on the front! Thanks for watching!
Great video. What T-Line do you have as your test bike for Brilliant Bikes? Is it the T-One or 4 Speed version? I’m interested in testing the single speed version.
...well the Tubolitos are definitely great to puncture... I still need several hundreds km pro tube to get to that even in worse conditions... And if you put them inside the Marathons instead of the Ones you may delay the fatalities even more...
Brilliant video! The bike that was filming, what freehub / gearing setup was used? Lovely noise it makes. About to buy my first Brompton and just consuming knowledge at the moment
Thanks for watching and the kind comment The camera was mounted under the saddle rails so picked up the lovely (though some don't like it) of the rear wheel / free hub It's the standard P Line 4 speed rear wheel - it makes a sound like no previous Brompton The 12 speed doesn't make that same sound (as it combines the 4 speed sprockets with a 3 speed Sturmey Archer hub)
I’ve got a feeling that the women only final was a bit ad hoc. Possibly because there hadn’t been any women in the first 5 of any of the rounds. About an hour or so before the final, they announced that up to 50 women can take part in a sprint race after the final. I loved it, but it wasn’t as well organised as previous events. I’m grateful that it happened at all though. Can’t believe I didn’t get a medal to add to my collection though!
Some people get a tattoo of their favourite rock stars signature , you got bike frame autograph :) Will you protect it with a lacquer ? #bromptonfangirl #shouldhavebeeninthewomanesfinal
This lady sits high on her bike, and which is as should be perhaps(for leg extension). Am older ,and like to have the saddle lower where my toes/feet can touch the floor when eaisly stopping. Lazy mmaybe. I mean me

Oh Hannah ! What a wonderful video which managed to encapsulate the joy of the event. Well done.
Thank you so much and thank you for watching! I hope next year you can make it!

Excellent Hannah. I wish I could have been there
Maybe next year 😀. It really was a fab day! Thank you for watching!
Great video Hannah and congrats on completing the course unscathed 😀🎉
