Finally finished. One of the best poker pods I’ve heard. Not surprised Trueteller is a mega genius. I was surprised for some reason that Phil Galfond was the key to him unlocking his understanding. Pretty cool that arguably the GOAT is learning from the same guy we all learned from.
For sure, these guys are much much more intelligent than the life coaches. Most of the life coaches are overrated and are just in for the money, it's almost all a bunch of BS and bad advice with some small tidbits of useful information.
Yeah, he's very intelligent and thoughtful. The only thing I didn't like was his analogy comparing things like running and exercise and the differences in skill between that and math. Those two things just can't be prepared. In math if you don't practice it at all or have no interest you're going to know nothing about even the simplest math, but with running or lifting you have a baseline you start at regardless of whether you do it or not. I mean there are many things and many reasons why that was a bad comparison to make. He's brilliant though, I just found that weird at the beginning. I actually didn't know too much about the guy until listening to his interview.
Really wish Trueteller would do more English interviews. Dude is brilliant and its always interesting to see how he thinks about of a bunch of things (outside of poker). Jungle, have him back!
These interview's have been great Jungle, but Timofey is next level. It was crazy when he was describing the sick math prodigy's being even better at math then him, wtf. I wish we could have heard him speak more in depth about emotional control/facing poker fears, thanks though.
Dan that sign you made indeed a kung fu sign. The meaning behind it is that despite it being a martial arts, it is important to always try to resolve conflict with peace. One hand making a fist and the other hand making a palm is to remind you to not have intent of hurting someone. The palm is covering your fist which is your weapon is what it technically means, you’re covering your weapon to show a sign of peace. Hope that helps you understand and practice kung fu not only physically but also the philosophy of it.
Negreanu has to be up there right now as well. His batting average in terms of how he does in these high rollers or just any tournament at is super super high. He's improved a lot and has become a new age type player with the proper studying and coaching, and ability to learn and not think he knows it all. He's playing amazing.
This is gold. Very interesting to be able to get in the minds of these nosebleed crushers. Jungleman I hope this helps get ur channel more subscribers and keeps u bringing out this great content!
Jungle is arguing for utilitarianism and trueteller seems to have a "threshold deontologist" position where you can only rely on the utility of an outcome to a certain extent. You must define your metaethical positions before having any type of conversation on morality.
top 100? That's the best you can give him? I can't name 5 poker players that are better than him in his prime or right now. Maybe Linus, maybe Ivey, and maybe Berri Sweet
So many talented players that don't study properly. Poker is a very very hard game to determine who the most talented players are. There are probably so many players who would be awesome if they had better coaching and were open to learning and studying more and properly. You can't practice something improperly or you're pretty much just wasting your time.
2007-2012 there was so many Swedish and Finland players that wanted play Ivey and Durrr in Texas and PLO but they dident want to play. Two semifishes that had good timing and think iveys fame was pumped up by political reasons
@@Stefanburakov Really online? Like who? I used to watch all the time back then and Ivey used to play anyone at any time, which a lot of people thought was one of his weaknesses. He didn't seem to have any game selection. What happened to Ivey during those years he was gone and not playing? On Matusows podcast he said now that Ivey is off everything and cleaned up he's back to the old Ivey, so he obviously was struggling badly with alcohol and or drugs. He has admitted he had alcohol problems, but I wonder if ist more than just that. I notice Matusow sometimes reveals things that I don't think people want coming out lol. I heard Ivey was broke when he was at his worst, Tom Dwan as well during that same time frame. He seems to be cleaned up and actually is playing really well again now. He's won some big tournaments.
@@billj4525they are great at turnaments and also in cash games NLH I know Ivey lost alot to Iamsoso and Lena900 in PLO and Isildur in NLH, Matusow is a Trueteller I think I have had some Mail convercations with him, and I think Ivey was as much on drugs and hoes as Matusow himself, but seem he clean up..
this is the best thumbnail i've ever seen

Pure gold of an interview!!
This conversation is better than 90% of the "life coach" material out there. Thanks

Very cool to see two of the GOAT's discussing various topics. Would love to see similar people, maybe Thuritz!!
A privilege to listen to your conversation! Really nice
The poker world definitely wants to see this fight happen.
Trueteller is one of my favorite players, very thoughtful, and the fact that he didn't fold buttons in Macau just cements that.

Great conversation! Would love to see you guys do this again ❤
Amazing! We need a part 2!
Really wish Trueteller would do more English interviews. Dude is brilliant and its always interesting to see how he thinks about of a bunch of things (outside of poker). Jungle, have him back!
Trueteller is really smart and wise, from the conversation it sounds like Truteller is more objective on things
These interview's have been great Jungle, but Timofey is next level. It was crazy when he was describing the sick math prodigy's being even better at math then him, wtf. I wish we could have heard him speak more in depth about emotional control/facing poker fears, thanks though.
There were sum stuff about tilt and emotions in «I Am High Stakes Poker» interview at Paul Phua Poker channel. Check this out.

Good get jungle. Have never heard truteller speak. Guy is a mystery crusher
Crazy cool video!
Yeah, this was one of the sickest poker interviews ever
Timofey has some great insight - deep thinker - seems like a good guy also
Yeah, not only is very wise and intelligent, but he seems like a very genuinely nice and friendly guy as well, which is even more important.
@@billj4525 agree 100 % it's most important
Trueteller got an unlimited budget for curtains.

Dneg is nowhere near these guys. Or playing these big of a cash games.

so much wisdom ... ty both
Real Talk - this pod may be historic someday.
It's been more than a year, we all waiting for part 2 !
Thanks for the upload 🙏
Best poker podcast ever, keep it up, do it again , goat on goat action

Great episode !!
this is great jungle im here for it
cool interview, just wondering why this isn't called the jungleman podcast? I would've found it way sooner if so I think, I assume others would too
basically just found it difficult to find your channel
Great Episode . . . 🍀🌬🔥🚀
Good stufff!!!!
You should do the poker version of Chess Boxing. One round of poker, then one round of fighting, then one round of poker, etc.
Great stuff
It would be hilarious to see trueteller on hustler

AWESOME!
Anyone have an idea which Galfond vids they’re referring to? 🙏
Very very cool interview too btw. The conversation flowed really well and so interesting
Truetellers talking at end is interesting.. he’s intelligent..
Wow yes!
Trueteller sees in pictures and music. I guessed him as a savant long before watching this.
Let’s go!
Ty jungle 😊
Damn, he looks young...
It says "FUCKDOWN" on his sweatshirt lol. ??
trueteller describes synthesia
I still say I liked it when the jungle man 12 told Scot sever fuck you in the premier league. Bang out to call the jungle man a cheat
You were all lucky
ONLINE POKER GOAT
Looks like someone is giving him a hummer under the table…
Where’s true teller
ya but how much blw do they do...
A 90y old can be a useful cornerstone for society and his family and a 35y old CEO can be "useless", to use the words in this video
Hmmm
Referring to belief in God as being a free roll has to be the most poker take ever.
Any chance we get Matt Ashton on ?
jungle you still running london private games with £25 rake
are you on meds
Dudes a cheater and you guys care what he says lol 😅
Total nonsense
He is not the best player in the world but top 100 and would say him and isildur is the two most talented.
Dumbest comment I’ve ever read
