    Ok so I got the Lunsford tie rods and the Arrma rod ends. Only problem is, it seems like the stock pivot balls are too small for the rod ends. Is the best route to just get the Arrma 6s pivot balls? From what I see online it looks like they’re 7.8 mm versus the stock TC 6s being 6.8 mm, although I think the stock Arrma ones may be composite, but I’m looking at some metal ones from Hot Racing I believe. Just curious to see what you did there. Thanks for this video btw, helped me a lot with my new rig

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +1

      Yes you'll need the stock pivot balls as well. Mine were already in them because I got them off of a vehicle. Thanks for watching and if you aren't already subscribed a sub is appreciated!

    Hi! Thanks for the video, I will take the advice for my TC Kronos XTR. I have a question - where can I buy Titanium Turnbuckles (95mm) now? Lunsfordracing unfortunately closed their business and their website is inactive. Maybe you could recommend something similar, just as durable? Unfortunately, this standard part is quite weak and I have already replaced it 3 times this year. Merry Christmas!

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +2

      Unfortunately as far as I know there is no alternative in titanium. The standard Arrma team Corally ones. They are also quite durable. Thanks for watching and if you enjoy my videos a sub is appreciated!

    Pretty cool upgrades and improvements, I just can't agree that the arrma stand offs are an upgrade, I have lost count of how many I have with a bolt in I can't get out after they bent.
    Besides that 👍
    All the best

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 года назад

      Well they definitely aren't bulletproof but in my experience there are significantly more durable than the corally ones. I broke at least one standoff in pretty much every upside down landing I had in my XTR. Since I switched to the Arrma ones I haven't broken one yet.

    • @ThatSwedishGuy
      @ThatSwedishGuy 2 года назад

      @@DoRC I don't know if they have changed material maybe, I have 3 of the 1/8 and my first is over two years old and never had one break, but as I see people have issues now with them I suspect they have been changed. Or it's due to the harder springs and thicker oil used. Who knows

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 года назад +1

      Not really sure. I've only broken them upside down landings from high jumps so they aren't super fragile I just think that the arrma ones are better

      @@DoRC Corally do shock covers now, which come on the Skeeter, it's surprising they don't come on the new 2022 XTR, cheap upgrade though

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 года назад +1

      @@Luke-en2tk yes I tried those first. They look nice but they don't actually help stop the shock mounts from breaking or the shock caps from ripping apart unfortunately. Thanks for watching and if you aren't already subscribed a sub is appreciated!

    Hi, thanks for the review, I'm thinking of buying 1 but have a question, I've seen many reviews talking about the front ball joints popping out, have you experienced this and do u have a solution for it? Thanks

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +1

      The new versions of their cars including the XTR and the new asuga have updated front hubs that are much stronger and don't have that problem anymore. You can also just get the updated hubs for the older versions for very little money. I think they were giving them away for free for a while but I'm not sure if they're doing that still.

    I dont know man mybie stock it is one of the most durably 1/8th truggys / bashers but id say the Arrma Talion stock or with a couple upgrades is the most durable. Could even be more durable then my savage x. I love Team Corally but iv found them to be just to fragile. I hope this XRT stands up to at least some damage. They are fast cars to.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +1

      A lot of the older generation corrallys had some pretty serious weak points but the XTR and especially the new Asuga are tanks.
      I hope you have a lot of upgrades on your Savage :-) I've had a few of them and they all were pretty weak out of the box.

      @@DoRC i have a question...are you drilling thru the standoff and cutting off both ends to be able to put the bolt threw or is it just grind the stand off and just use the arrma stand off as is?

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 года назад +2

      I'm just grinding the top and bottom flats of the standoff down a bit so they fit into the shock Tower and then drilling the shock tower out to fit as necessary. The older Arma standoffs are a two-piece design where it's the actual standoff and then a that goes all the way through it. The newer ones are a single piece with a nut on either end. I hope that answers your question:)

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  2 года назад +2

      @@humblebeast7232 yeah that's what I did. Just ground down to flats of the hex so that it would fit into the little inset on the shock Tower and then I think I had to drill out the hole. Been a while on that one.
