Cross RC HC4 and the Camo TF2 in Scale Town - RC CWR

- Cross RC HC4 a 1971 AM General Deuce and a Half military truck, gone farm truck. Now lets see the HC4 and TF2 take on the rocks of Kananaskis Country. Thanks to Brian Port for wheeling with me on the this beauty day. Brian wants to get into the scale side of RC and wanted to try both the Cross RC and RC4WD, so thats what we did. 3 2 1 Scale. They are both very similar rigs with the low CG, very stable trucks, leaf springs and both have a 2 speed tranny. Like I always do, I will be making some mods to the HC4. I want to suck the front bumper back, so that have a better approach angle on the rocks. Then make a skid plate that goes under the gas tank and step, to make it slide better on the rocks. Great build! The little 049 engine coming out of the panel under hood is an interesting touch. Love it.

That deuce 1/2 is bad ass man; saw you on djmedics vid at the crawler comp. I like that you used one of those tiny nitro plane engines as a air filter can, nice touch.

That is the most incredible truck I've ever seen. The TF2 was nice too. I was all set to get a tf2 until I saw this video (probably 10 times now). I love the detail. Mine came yesterday and I can't wait to start the build. I haven't decided on a color scheme yet I just know NOT military and I will try to weather it. Keep up the good work! BTW, nice videography too.

And the chain just hangs there ever so close to getting run over, but it dont. Lol, mine always gets caught under a tire for some reason. But checkin out the raised rust sim on that body, and I must say... Very nicely done. I see so many smash and bash videos, and thats great n all if you like to cringe. But this is where its at for me.

Just got my hc4 kit today . Any tips on weathering i tryed watching some vids but wat to many options.. thanks for any sugestions you may have.
Paint a few different coats (under coat primer colours, flat black and or rust colour) then do the finish colour coat lightly and sand through. I use fine grit sand paper and the green kitchen dish scrubby to sand and take the shin off everything. Hope that helps :-) Cheers

you should be able to flip servo mount and connectingrod+ knuckles 180° to have it behind the axle , my HC6 woks like that

servo mount holes are symmetrical, and with the standard dogbones you cant steer far enough to hit the shocks
