I would had loved to see a C0 showcase since xiao constellations are pretty negligible compared to wanderer. Also the dps would have been more relatable.
The biggest thing I can tell holding Xiao back isn't his damage numbers, it's the amount of time it takes to do multiple plunge attacks vs wanderer who normal attack spams. I'm really impressed with Xiao's performance here.
the biggest thing that is holding xiao back is that when u have a showdown between 2 c6 units that both have godly artifacts, everything still dies too fast (I mean, just look at that lvl 100 aeonblight drake comparison, I struggle to take it down with a FULL TEAM in under 90 seconds), so naturally whoever has the lowest delay between attacks would come out on top. In an endurance test between xiao and wanderer, I reckon the latter would come out on top.
i love me that +100% DEF lol. Honestly I think the idea of that being a constellation is justified since its more dangerous to be onfield doing damage if your health is that low. Unfortunately, just like for hutao, zhongli exists lol
Maybe 100% Resistance to interruption instead of 100% Defense is better. Makes you able to go without a shield so long as you have Bennett you're good. C1 works only if you need just 2 rotations, but something that you can work around with. An extra 2 or 3 particles can be solved by other units. The constellation upgrade for the skill is meh as it would only truly see significant change when you have C6. As for the burst upgrade constellation, he already has so much dmg bonus that it barely gives more damage. You don't go for that constellation because if you ever spend, you go for C6 all the way. But C6 makes that burst constellation nearly insignificant because you'll then be spamming skills, not plunges. As for that ER bonus when off field, that is also freaking stupid. Why the heck would we even want Xiao off field when catching particles? It's the same level of useless as the Defense buff. If I were to get constellations, make one of them "Plunge attacks will decrease enemies defense by 30%." And the other would be "For every enemy hit with a plunge attack, restores 2 energy to Xiao. Maximum energy restored up to 20 energy."
@@kibathefang6022 Yeah well... good thoughts but it's clear that the constellations were more hit or miss during the starting era of Genshin than currently. Look at Albedo C4 and C6. As if Albedo would be the dedicated shielder for Xiao or something. Not to mention nearly all of Venti's constellations or Qiqi's.
@@Yuzuripe need to search for channels that have relatively the same stats, though, which is harder to do. he could also borrow someone else's account with c0 wanderer and c0 xiao, though.
Well if new player ask me they want anemo dps, I'd recommend Wanderer over Xiao. Why? The answer is he is easier to build. Even Lost Prayers, Widsith and Skyward are as good as his bis weapon and he is fun as hell so you can assure they will enjoy this game.
@@thatonesunnysunday i mean xiao signature literally standart weapon. his cons are garbage, and he has at least somwhat uniqe gameplay, when scara literally yoimiya 2.0. I have both of them, and i cant tell, that for casual overworld scara is much better, but for dungeons and abyss xiao > scara (esp at c0r1)

Hoyoverse intentionally make new chars almost equal to old chars in power level so that those old char banners can still generate some revenue… Examples: many people think Kazuha powercrept Venti. But that’s not true he his own value and still his banner generate good amounts of revenue.
lets not foget that the guys couldn t compare c0s, which we all knowthat 5/6 cons of Xiao are not even imprving his damge and c6 is conditional so in many cases we got a showcase of c0 Xiao vs higher constellations of Wanderer.
Xiao is AOE king while Wanderer is more versatile and better at single target, both are good but I still prefer Wanderer for the ease to slot him in many comps and the ability to deal with more enemies better

It was epic to see wanderer and xiao on their full potential with exceptionally built supports, but it would be nice to see what I would be able to achieve with them as an f2p with minimal resources and decent supports
@@batch9518 he was doing great before but now with a dedicated support he is on the same level as the current characters not everyone can deal more than 90k every hit
It's not about jumping speed. He's still jumping up and down very fast. And he's more of a "nuke" character, he's supposed to be somewhat "slow" since he deals such high amounts of damage with each plunge attack.
I love how after all of these showcases and DPS comparisons people still refuse to acknowledge that Wanderer is a pretty good unit smh. I don't wanna argue who is a better character between Xiao and Wanderer since they are pretty much on the same level but dang just accept that Scaramouche isn't a total dissapointment of a unit

RIGHT!! i play in raiden coop for fun and whenever i bring my (admittedly pretty bad cause i got him a few days ago and still don't have a good 4pc shimenawa) wanderer some petty mfs always decide to bring heizou or xiao to feel superior to me cause they have the "better" anemo unit. jokes on them they always end up dying and i end up carrying usually with another teammate that's a healer or buffer or something similar

Xiao still does a great job. Pretty sufficient for Spiral Abyss even nowadays. While Scaranara provides fresh gameplay and makes exploration even more enjoyable.
Why is there so much Xiao cope in the comments… Wanderer scales better with cons but most people don’t pull for cons past c2. At most it’s a play style preference at that point and since it’s genshin the difference really doesn’t matter. I chose wanderer because he’s just more comfy since his e is the source of most his damage and he’s top tier in overworld.
It's what happens when DPS characters get Powercrept, same thing happened to Diluc, Klee, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Childe mains, etc, Xiao mains were spared since he used to be the only anemo DPS. This is why in gacha games you always pull for the support/utility characters

However, it’s a single player game with no real competitive aspects. I think it would help people who are feeling frustrated by power creep to remember that. It makes sense for people to talk about it if it’s something they think should be fixed.
Agree with the “it’s genshin, the difference doesn’t matter.” C0 Wanderer clears just as well as Xiao, while having all the benefits on the overworld. It’s all just preference really since they’re both good, which xiao copers don’t seem to understand lol
Ima say what Mihoyo doesnt want us to hear - they designed wanderer to be contellations dependent, unlike Xiao. Unless you wanna wahle roll the character that is complete at c0 - Xiao.
Wanderer not being a burst reliant character easily makes him superior to many other dps characters . And he probably would be top 5 in overworld exploration. Though I do believe that xiao is still better than wanderer in many cases just because of his mid air movement . In my opinion both are pretty good characters but I like wanderer more anyway.
Just because character A got outclashed doesn't mean the B is better or A is worse. They both shine in their own ways. All characters are made as alternatives and variations, not to compete with one another.
i feel like wander did more damage not because it was a better build but because he can put more damage output in a smaller amount of time because he is a catalyst and his weapon boosts atk speed
I got my Scara to C6 and when I saw his Burst hitting for 80-90k, 5 times, I knew he was my new main DPS haha. He just attacks so fast with his normal evaporating enemies, it’s fun to see.
Xiao and Wanderer have the same dynamic as Childe and Ayato. Both are more or less equal at damage potential at c0, but one has significantly better constellations than the other
Maybe, but because Chide and Ayato are Hydro, that changes the usefulness of the characters as supports for other dps characters. Like. Ayato is great and all, but Childe as a hydro applier can't be beat. Especially for Xiangling. Especially if you know how to play him. He also has a random nuke burst which is always nice and riptide. Comparing Childe and Ayato's dynamic to Xiao and Wanderer's may seem obvious enough to do, but realistically, those dynamics are completely different. And that's mostly due to the element they possess
Ayato is better due his ridiculous flexibility and support and damage buff. Also hydro. Only difference is he won’t nuke like childe at c0. Apart from childe nuke he and childe have similar dps at c0. Wanderer here is a hyper carry! Barely any support! Needs constellations. To out dps childe. Not f2p friendly
@@shachede6828 mmm. Ayato is the definition of "Jack of all trades, master of none" he's not bad at all, but he's rarely the best option. He's a good unit to sub into places if you don't have or don't want to use a specific character. Childe by contrast has amazing teams, but isn't as flexible. Childe International vs Ayato national is a good example Also. Childe has ridiculous icd on his hydro application
Wanderer has like, no damage output at all at c0 lol, we compared their damage output in the IWTL server and even against bosses my solo Xiao is able to one cycle the Asimon boss while wanderer with a full team can barely do it.
This just exastrubates how new 5 stars have such an insane difference between c0 and c6 whereas old ones are at 90% of their power at c0 c0 xiao vs wanderer would be such an insane landslide victory for xiao , and c6 wandrer is pulling ahead so much with his 6 raw dmg constelations.
I just got scaramouche and really enjoyed him lately. But nothing beats my Xiao. He's easily the most satisfying character I've ever played plus he's has one of the best designs imo
So... Where C6 Nahida DPS showdown? I think it would be really cool to see how she does against Yelan, who has a similar C6. It could also be great to test their support as well.
not to mention Nahida TKP larger AoE up to 5 targets i think? and because genshin is team based as well id love to see the clear times with their best teams
Just saying, but xiao's runs feel like they're a lot more skill oriented than wanderers... Personally, I think the most impressive part here is keeping both xiao and wanderer alive throughout the abyss run... They're both very squishy, especially wanderer
I always felt the same. A lot of people complain about Xiao gameplay, when they don't realize that jump+plunge can be used very skillfully through timing in order to dodge attacks, which makes the Experience that much more enjoyable. As for the Wanderer, unfortunately being unable to freely dash in the air makes him appear less "skillfull" since you want to keep those point to extend dps
@@insertgenerichannelname At C1 your free dash passive activates more often. He looks pretty good in the right hand tho, I have seen a lot players who don't ignore his passive they can literally reposition themselves constantly without getting hit
@@insertgenerichannelname His A4 is ignored so much. It exists for a reason. A free sprint in air every 4-5 Attacks tho requires skill to handle, can prove really useful
@@haseebbarya8294 that's true, it helps, but when I first commented I was already taking that in consideration. It takes skill to dash at the right moment, that's true, but it still feels a bit bad to be limited that much to the point that it's just better to get a shielder for the sake of dps. Don't get me wrong, Xiao also has a bit of that issue (though I consider every jump a long window for him to be "invulnerable") but not as much as the Wanderer, at least that's how it felt for my first 2 weeks using him.
@@SkillfulCurve honestly, even Xiao's C6 is not that amazing. especially since it's the reason why he can't produce particles during his Q, unlike Itto who can self battery a bit
Nice video. Outside of damage though, Wanderer definitely wins 100%. He can FLY, which is very useful on horizontal distances without ground, like the top of mountain areas, over water, etc. Only he can reliably cross those distances. Also has the highest vertical flight of any character. He also has the fastest dash for exploration, albeit having a slightly shorter duration than Yelan’s skill. But he still wins because its cd is just 6s over Yelan’s 10s. He has low CD and is not burst-dependent, which is the best design for any character in the overworld. No need to wait for burst cd and energy when fighting just hilichurls lol. Plus his NAs are homing! Literally the best & most fun overworld character, no one else comes close
He's also en extremely mobile catalys. Im sure it's just a matter of time for people to get used to his playstyle. People are probably are not used to him yet because its been a while since the last time we got on-field catalyst dps (excluding C6 Nahida)
A bit dissapointed about not gaving C0 showcase, I wanted C0 Scara vs C6 Heyzo, but I really enjoyed this one as well. Especially I enjoyed how smooth gameplay for both characters was. Enjoyable runs, good representation
I mean its obviously the new/recent released characters C6(except recently added to standard banner tighnari) are million times better than Old released C6 characters. But the real fair showdown at their C0. C1 are okay but new recent characters gain huge dmg increase from C2. In this showdown I mean in single target it will be almost like Xiao C1/C5 vs C6 wanderer lmao
That's not true, Hu Tao, Itto, Eula, Raiden, Ayaka, Kokomi, Ganyu, Ayato, Childe etc are as good/better or on par as new characters, the only recently new characters that are better without a doubt is Nahida, Yelan and Nilou.
@@Hhhh22222-w C0 yes they are comparable. But Constellations wise the value of every Constellations and C6 are like day and night. What i mean new/recent released characters more like start from kazuha/ayaka release or should i say from inazuma characters released. Characters Constellations starting from inazuma release are broken. Pre eula Constellations are still not that great but C6 eula is where they starting to made Constellations are more broken/more value than previous characters Constellations. Even raiden C2 maybe looks better than some C6 pre eula characters. I think the only too far broken C6 are come from inazuma characters. And i feel after sumeru characters release they tried to tuned it down to be not too broken. So far all C0 are safe and balanced but there is one broken characters that not the E or Q or Constellations that makes her literally broken but only from the passives, that character is nilou. The bloom as main source of damage that can Quadratic scaling literally with no cooldown from the passives(bountiful core) just trigger elemental reaction bloom and deal at least 20 ~ 30 k minimum if well build and it fast. Imagine ayaka her burst as main source damage without cooldown or energy she just spam it, that is nilou bountiful core bloom passive looks like lmao. And her team just as you mentioned are better characters are nilou, yelan, nahida and the last piece is kokomi who people thought at first she was bad lmao. Kokomi hoyo favoritism is real here from Artifacts, monster designed for her and now the perfect broken team and with low investment for her. And some tier list still think nilou is not top tier lmao. She literally can fight any elements monsters. No restriction besides single target condition that will makes her balance lmao
Theres a point in damage where Regisvines should not be used as test subjects. Its more about who "bursts faster" in rotation than who has the best potential. That said people that said Xiao lost for his constellations keep not understanding Xiao's flaws. The damage boost in this showcase came mostly from *the supports* The only constellation that really boosts Wanderer's damage considerably is C6 for a higher constant dps potential. C2 is good but is used to end a rotation a bit faster, its not the main point of his kit. So if both were C1, would Xiao have won some of the "burst" categories in the showdown? Yes, but on sustained dps he would be pretty much *equal* to Wanderer once you get rid of the Aoe issues that both have and supports/speedrun scenarios trivialize. To really get an idea of how good each one is you need lesser supports (on the level of an average player instead of leviathans) and then put them against one big single target and a boss followed by a bunch of mobs of different qualities right after. With that scenario Wanderer would win the first one and be tied to Xiao in the second, and this counting them at C0-C1, making Wanderer the winner regardless. Xiao's loss doesnt come from constellations, it comes from his locked rotation that flows unnaturally unless he kills the things in a single one, which is what cracked supports help you do.
I would like wanderer he is cooler but doesn't loose HP by using his attack and he is short that he has to swim in the nearest way at the beach and he makes travelers traveling such easier by flying and u can forgot climbing or run u have wanderer bro❤😂

I personally didn't even know he got his xiao to c6. Last videos hes done he had c0 xiao. and since wanderer just came out I assumed he didn't activate constelations just yet until after making more videos like normally.
Btw IWTL, I wouldn’t mind speedrunning videos of just abyss with explanation with many characters. Regardless of a showdown just the most optimal runs. It would be fun and interesting
I love this idea! It’ll be really nice to see different teams viabilities for Abyss and comments on clear speed, ease of use w/ healing/shielding/grouping/lack of dps or nuke if needed vs certain bosses, and other stuff e.g. : - how mono geo teams fare vs elemental for this abyss cycle - how anemo dps centric teams such as xiao/wanderer/heizou fare vs others - dendro and its hyperbloom/bloom/nilou bloom/quicken/aggravate/burgeon or burning teams fare - physical teams such as eula/razor (i think there’s only those two tbh lmao) and obv their best team setups to optimize their run - Morgana vs traditional elemental reactions team like melt, HuTao vape, Yoimiya vape but I understand it’s difficult to cover all these different teams every Abyss cycle :’(
still love wanderers playstyle, huge damage or not he is very much capable of dealing consistent and fast damage compared to xiao, overall i just prefer wanderer cuz he fits my playstyle 🤷♂
Its time for another "real" DPS showdown you know. Nahida C6, Yelan C6 deserve their own showdown. Maybe can fit nilou bountiful comp also with nahida.
@@cinnamonroosevelt9301 Ok, I checked. Whilst C6 Yelan easily solo's literally anything in game like Abyss Floor 12, Nahida in a good team might be comparable... but obviously can't solo stuff like Yelan. IMO: against hoards < Nahida, against a boss < Yelan.
We have to consider that shintezu is one of the best xiao players out there and that wanderer is still a new character who was not even running his signature set and still absolutely demolished in this comparison.
Signature set isn't a huge deal at that level of investment. Besides I wouldn't say demolished. He won pretty decisively in ST but failed behind in AoE without Kazuha. Which I said before. Venti/Kazuha trivialise AoE content. A more AoE budget option outside this 2 would have Xiao with a bigger gap.
@@dendenmushi9714 Demolished in ST and kept up in MT, plus actually useful in the overworld. That is pretty good if you ask me. Also, as per the calcs going around, the set is approximately a 10% increase over the next best option. That’s quite a bit.
well we got prove now with Nahida and Wanderer that catalyst users can be strong, especially with their range advantage, hyv just need to make a good kit. Also, YES for c0 comparison
Great video. If you consider the added factor that many of us mere mortals aren't going to be able to drive Xiao as well as this showdown, Wanderer comes out even further ahead. I took a pass on him because I'm not a fan of the character design, but from a pure performance perspective I'm experiencing a little bit of fomo.
Most of us mere mortals won't be getting Wanderer's C6 as well and obviously at c0 Xiao wins over Wanderer by a large margin. So I disagree that Wanderer is ahead
Great video as always, I just wish you add C0 comparison with 4 star weapon even if it is just the math and not showcase I just got C6 Faruzan after 235 pull and my c0 r1 Xiao can now plunge for 100k which is cool and my Wanderer hit 20-25k/normal but he is still only at all lvl 6 talent while my Xiao is crowned. Honestly I like Wanderer more cuz I find his playstyle more fun and he is not tied to his energy so he is more flexible in all content but on AOE and some tough enemy Xiao is better so that's that
the level of Anemo DPS scales from how much they have lost: Heizou and Kazuha: lost a friend and are so powerful, they make new play styles Xiao: lost all his siblings, he became the mascot to a countey Venti: lost his brother in arms, he became an Archon

Xiao did really well I think when you consider that he was designed around the launch of the game before Hoyo began making C6s so ridiculously OP.
That just means for dolphins and whales, Wanderer is a better option
Well if new player ask me they want anemo dps, I'd recommend Wanderer over Xiao. Why? The answer is he is easier to build. Even Lost Prayers, Widsith and Skyward are as good as his bis weapon and he is fun as hell so you can assure they will enjoy this game.

Honestly surprised how well xiao did compared to a newer five star. Although let’s be honest, shintenzu is just built different.
Hoyoverse intentionally make new chars almost equal to old chars in power level so that those old char banners can still generate some revenue…
Examples: many people think Kazuha powercrept Venti. But that’s not true he his own value and still his banner generate good amounts of revenue.
lets not foget that the guys couldn t compare c0s, which we all knowthat 5/6 cons of Xiao are not even imprving his damge and c6 is conditional so in many cases we got a showcase of c0 Xiao vs higher constellations of Wanderer.

Xiao is AOE king while Wanderer is more versatile and better at single target, both are good but I still prefer Wanderer for the ease to slot him in many comps and the ability to deal with more enemies better

It's not about jumping speed. He's still jumping up and down very fast. And he's more of a "nuke" character, he's supposed to be somewhat "slow" since he deals such high amounts of damage with each plunge attack.

Xiao still does a great job. Pretty sufficient for Spiral Abyss even nowadays. While Scaranara provides fresh gameplay and makes exploration even more enjoyable.
Why is there so much Xiao cope in the comments… Wanderer scales better with cons but most people don’t pull for cons past c2. At most it’s a play style preference at that point and since it’s genshin the difference really doesn’t matter. I chose wanderer because he’s just more comfy since his e is the source of most his damage and he’s top tier in overworld.
It's what happens when DPS characters get Powercrept, same thing happened to Diluc, Klee, Xingqiu, Sucrose, Childe mains, etc, Xiao mains were spared since he used to be the only anemo DPS. This is why in gacha games you always pull for the support/utility characters

Wanderer not being a burst reliant character easily makes him superior to many other dps characters . And he probably would be top 5 in overworld exploration. Though I do believe that xiao is still better than wanderer in many cases just because of his mid air movement . In my opinion both are pretty good characters but I like wanderer more anyway.
Just because character A got outclashed doesn't mean the B is better or A is worse. They both shine in their own ways. All characters are made as alternatives and variations, not to compete with one another.

I got my Scara to C6 and when I saw his Burst hitting for 80-90k, 5 times, I knew he was my new main DPS haha. He just attacks so fast with his normal evaporating enemies, it’s fun to see.

Xiao and Wanderer have the same dynamic as Childe and Ayato.
Both are more or less equal at damage potential at c0, but one has significantly better constellations than the other
Maybe, but because Chide and Ayato are Hydro, that changes the usefulness of the characters as supports for other dps characters. Like. Ayato is great and all, but Childe as a hydro applier can't be beat. Especially for Xiangling. Especially if you know how to play him.
He also has a random nuke burst which is always nice and riptide.
Comparing Childe and Ayato's dynamic to Xiao and Wanderer's may seem obvious enough to do, but realistically, those dynamics are completely different. And that's mostly due to the element they possess
Ayato is better due his ridiculous flexibility and support and damage buff. Also hydro. Only difference is he won’t nuke like childe at c0. Apart from childe nuke he and childe have similar dps at c0. Wanderer here is a hyper carry! Barely any support! Needs constellations. To out dps childe. Not f2p friendly

Wanderer has like, no damage output at all at c0 lol, we compared their damage output in the IWTL server and even against bosses my solo Xiao is able to one cycle the Asimon boss while wanderer with a full team can barely do it.
This just exastrubates how new 5 stars have such an insane difference between c0 and c6 whereas old ones are at 90% of their power at c0
c0 xiao vs wanderer would be such an insane landslide victory for xiao , and c6 wandrer is pulling ahead so much with his 6 raw dmg constelations.
I just got scaramouche and really enjoyed him lately. But nothing beats my Xiao. He's easily the most satisfying character I've ever played plus he's has one of the best designs imo

Shintenzu is a god when it comes to Xiao. Always love seeing him, even if it makes me feel like I've only scratched the surface.
Just saying, but xiao's runs feel like they're a lot more skill oriented than wanderers...
Personally, I think the most impressive part here is keeping both xiao and wanderer alive throughout the abyss run... They're both very squishy, especially wanderer
I always felt the same. A lot of people complain about Xiao gameplay, when they don't realize that jump+plunge can be used very skillfully through timing in order to dodge attacks, which makes the Experience that much more enjoyable.
As for the Wanderer, unfortunately being unable to freely dash in the air makes him appear less "skillfull" since you want to keep those point to extend dps
@@insertgenerichannelname At C1 your free dash passive activates more often. He looks pretty good in the right hand tho, I have seen a lot players who don't ignore his passive they can literally reposition themselves constantly without getting hit

It takes skill to dash at the right moment, that's true, but it still feels a bit bad to be limited that much to the point that it's just better to get a shielder for the sake of dps.
Don't get me wrong, Xiao also has a bit of that issue (though I consider every jump a long window for him to be "invulnerable") but not as much as the Wanderer, at least that's how it felt for my first 2 weeks using him.

It really doesnt matter about the amount of damage the dps can do. The most important thing to do is have fun
Nice video. Outside of damage though, Wanderer definitely wins 100%.
He can FLY, which is very useful on horizontal distances without ground, like the top of mountain areas, over water, etc. Only he can reliably cross those distances. Also has the highest vertical flight of any character.
He also has the fastest dash for exploration, albeit having a slightly shorter duration than Yelan’s skill. But he still wins because its cd is just 6s over Yelan’s 10s.
He has low CD and is not burst-dependent, which is the best design for any character in the overworld. No need to wait for burst cd and energy when fighting just hilichurls lol. Plus his NAs are homing!

He's also en extremely mobile catalys. Im sure it's just a matter of time for people to get used to his playstyle. People are probably are not used to him yet because its been a while since the last time we got on-field catalyst dps (excluding C6 Nahida)

But the real fair showdown at their C0. C1 are okay but new recent characters gain huge dmg increase from C2. That's not true, Hu Tao, Itto, Eula, Raiden, Ayaka, Kokomi, Ganyu, Ayato, Childe etc are as good/better or on par as new characters, the only recently new characters that are better without a doubt is Nahida, Yelan and Nilou.
@@Hhhh22222-w C0 yes they are comparable. But Constellations wise the value of every Constellations and C6 are like day and night. What i mean new/recent released characters more like start from kazuha/ayaka release or should i say from inazuma characters released. Characters Constellations starting from inazuma release are broken. Pre eula Constellations are still not that great but C6 eula is where they starting to made Constellations are more broken/more value than previous characters Constellations. Even raiden C2 maybe looks better than some C6 pre eula characters. I think the only too far broken C6 are come from inazuma characters. And i feel after sumeru characters release they tried to tuned it down to be not too broken. So far all C0 are safe and balanced but there is one broken characters that not the E or Q or Constellations that makes her literally broken but only from the passives, that character is nilou. The bloom as main source of damage that can Quadratic scaling literally with no cooldown from the passives(bountiful core) just trigger elemental reaction bloom and deal at least 20 ~ 30 k minimum if well build and it fast. Imagine ayaka her burst as main source damage without cooldown or energy she just spam it, that is nilou bountiful core bloom passive looks like lmao. And her team just as you mentioned are better characters are nilou, yelan, nahida and the last piece is kokomi who people thought at first she was bad lmao. Kokomi hoyo favoritism is real here from Artifacts, monster designed for her and now the perfect broken team and with low investment for her. And some tier list still think nilou is not top tier lmao. She literally can fight any elements monsters. No restriction besides single target condition that will makes her balance lmao

Theres a point in damage where Regisvines should not be used as test subjects. Its more about who "bursts faster" in rotation than who has the best potential.
That said people that said Xiao lost for his constellations keep not understanding Xiao's flaws. The damage boost in this showcase came mostly from *the supports*
The only constellation that really boosts Wanderer's damage considerably is C6 for a higher constant dps potential. C2 is good but is used to end a rotation a bit faster, its not the main point of his kit.
So if both were C1, would Xiao have won some of the "burst" categories in the showdown? Yes, but on sustained dps he would be pretty much *equal* to Wanderer once you get rid of the Aoe issues that both have and supports/speedrun scenarios trivialize.
To really get an idea of how good each one is you need lesser supports (on the level of an average player instead of leviathans) and then put them against one big single target and a boss followed by a bunch of mobs of different qualities right after.
With that scenario Wanderer would win the first one and be tied to Xiao in the second, and this counting them at C0-C1, making Wanderer the winner regardless.
Xiao's loss doesnt come from constellations, it comes from his locked rotation that flows unnaturally unless he kills the things in a single one, which is what cracked supports help you do.

I love this idea! It’ll be really nice to see different teams viabilities for Abyss and comments on clear speed, ease of use w/ healing/shielding/grouping/lack of dps or nuke if needed vs certain bosses, and other stuff e.g. :
- how mono geo teams fare vs elemental for this abyss cycle
- how anemo dps centric teams such as xiao/wanderer/heizou fare vs others
- dendro and its hyperbloom/bloom/nilou bloom/quicken/aggravate/burgeon or burning teams fare
- physical teams such as eula/razor (i think there’s only those two tbh lmao) and obv their best team setups to optimize their run
- Morgana vs traditional elemental reactions team like melt, HuTao vape, Yoimiya vape
but I understand it’s difficult to cover all these different teams every Abyss cycle :’(
still love wanderers playstyle, huge damage or not he is very much capable of dealing consistent and fast damage compared to xiao, overall i just prefer wanderer cuz he fits my playstyle 🤷♂

We have to consider that shintezu is one of the best xiao players out there and that wanderer is still a new character who was not even running his signature set and still absolutely demolished in this comparison.
Signature set isn't a huge deal at that level of investment.

He won pretty decisively in ST but failed behind in AoE without Kazuha.
Which I said before. Venti/Kazuha trivialise AoE content. A more AoE budget option outside this 2 would have Xiao with a bigger gap.

Great video. If you consider the added factor that many of us mere mortals aren't going to be able to drive Xiao as well as this showdown, Wanderer comes out even further ahead. I took a pass on him because I'm not a fan of the character design, but from a pure performance perspective I'm experiencing a little bit of fomo.
Most of us mere mortals won't be getting Wanderer's C6 as well and obviously at c0 Xiao wins over Wanderer by a large margin. So I disagree that Wanderer is ahead

I just got C6 Faruzan after 235 pull and my c0 r1 Xiao can now plunge for 100k which is cool and my Wanderer hit 20-25k/normal but he is still only at all lvl 6 talent while my Xiao is crowned. Honestly I like Wanderer more cuz I find his playstyle more fun and he is not tied to his energy so he is more flexible in all content but on AOE and some tough enemy Xiao is better so that's that
