Them both are so cool, xiao has a better gameplay, but overall scara is more useful, he is a ranged unit, meaning you have a distance from enemies, he has a fast attack speed, meaning dodging wont take that much dps, as you can recover fast from the dash, and he has a great mobility, not only vertical but horizontal speed. Xiao has an insane gameplay, fastpaced, but he goes compeltely melee, meaning he is in front of the enemies, that also means he need more defensive supports than with scaramouche as he can be far away, he doesn't has attacks that fast, but his skill speed can make up quite fine, he has 3 charges with a medium-range cooldown (10/9 seconds), so he has quite a problem about mobility in case of exploration, his ultimate is the one that gives him the most damage, making him more reliable in energy recharge, but, at the same time, he can recharge energy quickly with his skill. In both cases, the response is obvius, this dude trolled and didn't used charged attacks to boost wanderers damage lmao, both of them are gods of a units, and while xiao might be a little better at dps, it's true that he is more dangerous to play, a minimal error and it might break your dps, in the case of wanderer, as he is far away he has way more possibilities to dodge, along with, he literally flies and has a quick attack speed, he doesn't depends on his ultimate to make dps, meaning he doesn't requires that much energy recharge, making him perfect to boost his attack and farming him, as he doesn't needs energy recharge as a main sub-stat, instead xiao might need a little more, ER as he depends of his ultimate to make sustancial damage, if not his total damage, xiao has his skill that functions as battery, scara doesn't has that, but he instead doesn't requires his ulti to make damage, it's completely balanced in that aspect,. Now, for exploration, wanderer is way better, not only his skill has short cooldown, but he also grants 3D movement which is specially good in a game like genshin impact, instead, xiao has good horizontal movement in short term, his skill has a medium cooldown, and he doesn't recharges all his charges at the same time, meaning he needs to wait for the three to charge each one independently, making him way worse than wanderer for exploration along with him not having a sustancial vertical mobility like wanderer; now, with who overall is good, xiao is good for a completely whale endgame account, while wanderer is more f2p friendly, xiao depends a lot on his constelations, while wanderer has almost no use on his constelations, as the bonuses from them aren't that good and don't change that much his gameplay, this means, he doesn't get that much dps loss compared to a f2p, but, at the same time he lacks in the endgame of a whale player, as he doesn't get a sustancial buff wih his contelations, xiao in other side, as he depends a lot on his constelations is good for a whale endgame player, as xiao needs lot of invertion and his constelations really matter for him, making him overall stronger than wanderer in a whale account, so that's it, xiao is for whale endgame, and wanderer is good for f2p, and on early and medium-game, and even maybe endgame but at that point the player might have a better dps if he didn't opted to buff wanderer (his team consts of faruzan, bennett, and a 4th one, generally people uses shielders, or sub-dps, like xingqiu or xiangling, i've seen people use thoma... For some reason i don't quite comprehend), that's my general view on both characters, i have wanderer and not xiao, and i also don't have constelations, so my opinion might be a little out of bounds, as i don't know how xiao works, and i have a lvl 50 wanderer without his set (although i already know how to play him NAx2 and then a CA, repeat).
I'd say both are equal up to C5, maybe with Scara being a little better because of Xiao's shit cons. Scara has crazy atk speed compared to Xiao, while Xiao dealt way more dmg. They're pretty equal. But with Xianyun, Xiao's dmg got pretty insane. And Xiao's C6 is broken, it eliminated the only downside he has which is slow atk speed.
Xiao will be always good on C6 but sadly not everyone can afford it, his option was C1 or C6, there is no in between, that's why so many people benched him now, beside the enemy that easily get pushed back and forced us to chase them while on burst mode

Personally I think he is very good in his mastery with Xiao but not enough with Wanderer he does not do the rotation of 2 basic 1 charged well, it is his peak power plus the dash that creates 2 additional hits
I do have both weapons. If you are asking about R5 Homa or R5 Jade Spear, I suggest looking at your artifact stats first. I prefer using Jade Spear when my unbuffed ATK stats are at least 2.4k. So when the Vermillion and R5 Jade Spear proc, he gets around 3.2k ATK in total with an extra +24% damage dealt increase, making it outperform Homa in his Hypercarry Team. Jade Spear is harder to build for, but it provides him peak damage performance. As for Homa, it is easier to build because you already get tons of ATK and Crit DMG, so you just need to look for Energy Recharge and Crit substats
Wanderer's burst deals huge damage from C2 if you cast it at the end of his E state. You can't just mindlessly spam it. Also, remember that you also need to fill his energy again, and casting his burst immediately cancels his E state, putting him into cooldown.

eh bennett buff barely lasts long enough as it is, and even with furina she only has like 18 seconds uptime and you need to swap to a healer after her so more like 15 seconds. I agree that interupt resistant would be a really good replacement with his terribly mid c4 tho (not as mid as xiao's but still) but a c2+ wanderer burst can do over 500k so not having benny buff for it is a biiig loss
Echoes, because each of his projectile hit enemies 2 times making the echoes passive proc more often. Shimenawa isn't good for his C2 because it always drain your energy

At C0, yes. At C6 R5, no. Echoes performs way better than DPC due to the added Normal Attack instances on each input and the insane amount of ATK speed from R5 and C1, making it proc almost all the time. If your ping is below 30, it basically always procs.
@@reviii-s4t Has been sheeted and this isn't true at all, the added attack instances help, but it just equals out in the end as the added ones have lower attack then usual, the added 10% NA bonus from pavillion is also a huge factor in the equation. The 0.2cd before each proc also applies and makes sure that either the original or the copy NA gets the buff when it procs, so you never actually fully capitalize off of echoes. With DPC not only do you gain more NAs done in a rotation, but their dmg is consistent and every single hit is buffed, alongside not being ping reliant.

Especially in the first domain, it’s hard to freeze the enemies in place and make Wanderer hit multiple targets since his AoE is small. Dashing around mindlessly will just result in a slower clear time.
@@czarson6694 Most people who play wanderer play him with a shield because enemies can chain multiple attacks together and it can be near impossible to dodge everything no matter how good you think you are. He has no stagger resist so he is easily knocked back by the tiniest hits. There’s no such thing as “positional gameplay” with him you simply just need to keep your distance with him as a ranged character like every other ranged character in the game It’s not some incredible display of skill. Wanderer can’t just freely dodge either or he will end his windfavor state early so that makes dodging even more difficult on him as it’s a major dps loss if you have to make an emergency dodge. C6 vs C6 maybe they are close but that’s whale territory and xiao’s playstyle changes completely. C0 vs C0 Xiao is the clear winner. I’ve ran both against enemies multitarget and solo and Xiao just outdamages him easily.
You messed up rotation in the second showcase for xiao but other than the double plunge that hit only 1 person it was clean af but it you did the 4 dashes he shouldve won all group fights. In the double vishap part was the funniest one because you have scara a whole 12 second head start and he still lost lol.
Both are really good, it depends on your playstyle preference. Xiao is strong, but you have to master his kit mechanics. Wanderer is easier to use, but a bit squishy and can easily be staggered without a shield if you can't dodge.
Xiao is more enjoyable for me to play based on my preferences. He has unique mechanics and numerous techniques to use him effectively, such as NA cancel to skip hitlag, low altitude air dash, collision plunge, and more.
Should i pull or wanderer or yelan i already have xiao,kazuha ,faruzan,widset catalyst ,c3 xingque,fav r5, raiden,ayaka ...!which one would be better as f2p a
I recommend pulling Yelan. She's easier to build and offers more flexibility in most team compositions. Both Xiao and Wanderer require significant investment to play comfortably.

at C6 it's a DPS loss, his NA deals more damage than activating his Gales of Reverie passive that has hitlag and animation delay, only useful for dodging and switching target I guess
@@reviii-s4t This is incorrect. At C6 gale of reverie can be performed every N3 and his optimal combo is N3D. There is no hitlag on any of the wanderer's hits, and the dash at the end of a string is an animation cancel.

I do have both weapons. If you are asking about R5 Homa or R5 Jade Spear, I suggest looking at your artifact stats first. I prefer using Jade Spear when my unbuffed ATK stats are at least 2.4k. So when the Vermillion and R5 Jade Spear proc, he gets around 3.2k ATK in total with an extra +24% damage dealt increase, making it outperform Homa in his Hypercarry Team. Jade Spear is harder to build for, but it provides him peak damage performance.
As for Homa, it is easier to build because you already get tons of ATK and Crit DMG, so you just need to look for Energy Recharge and Crit substats

Wanderer burst does so much dmg and youre barely using it
Wanderer's burst deals huge damage from C2 if you cast it at the end of his E state. You can't just mindlessly spam it. Also, remember that you also need to fill his energy again, and casting his burst immediately cancels his E state, putting him into cooldown.

eh bennett buff barely lasts long enough as it is, and even with furina she only has like 18 seconds uptime and you need to swap to a healer after her so more like 15 seconds. I agree that interupt resistant would be a really good replacement with his terribly mid c4 tho (not as mid as xiao's but still) but a c2+ wanderer burst can do over 500k so not having benny buff for it is a biiig loss

At C6 R5, no. Echoes performs way better than DPC due to the added Normal Attack instances on each input and the insane amount of ATK speed from R5 and C1, making it proc almost all the time. If your ping is below 30, it basically always procs.

@@reviii-s4t Has been sheeted and this isn't true at all, the added attack instances help, but it just equals out in the end as the added ones have lower attack then usual, the added 10% NA bonus from pavillion is also a huge factor in the equation. The 0.2cd before each proc also applies and makes sure that either the original or the copy NA gets the buff when it procs, so you never actually fully capitalize off of echoes. With DPC not only do you gain more NAs done in a rotation, but their dmg is consistent and every single hit is buffed, alongside not being ping reliant.

Especially in the first domain, it’s hard to freeze the enemies in place and make Wanderer hit multiple targets since his AoE is small. Dashing around mindlessly will just result in a slower clear time.
Lost Valley you used wanderer ultimate way too late and only on 1 target. Same with Spire of Solitary Enlightenment.

@@czarson6694 Most people who play wanderer play him with a shield because enemies can chain multiple attacks together and it can be near impossible to dodge everything no matter how good you think you are. He has no stagger resist so he is easily knocked back by the tiniest hits. There’s no such thing as “positional gameplay” with him you simply just need to keep your distance with him as a ranged character like every other ranged character in the game It’s not some incredible display of skill. Wanderer can’t just freely dodge either or he will end his windfavor state early so that makes dodging even more difficult on him as it’s a major dps loss if you have to make an emergency dodge. C6 vs C6 maybe they are close but that’s whale territory and xiao’s playstyle changes completely. C0 vs C0 Xiao is the clear winner. I’ve ran both against enemies multitarget and solo and Xiao just outdamages him easily.

You messed up rotation in the second showcase for xiao but other than the double plunge that hit only 1 person it was clean af but it you did the 4 dashes he shouldve won all group fights. In the double vishap part was the funniest one because you have scara a whole 12 second head start and he still lost lol.

Both are really good, it depends on your playstyle preference. Xiao is strong, but you have to master his kit mechanics. Wanderer is easier to use, but a bit squishy and can easily be staggered without a shield if you can't dodge.

I recommend pulling Yelan. She's easier to build and offers more flexibility in most team compositions. Both Xiao and Wanderer require significant investment to play comfortably.

at C6 it's a DPS loss, his NA deals more damage than activating his Gales of Reverie passive that has hitlag and animation delay, only useful for dodging and switching target I guess
@@reviii-s4t This is incorrect. At C6 gale of reverie can be performed every N3 and his optimal combo is N3D. There is no hitlag on any of the wanderer's hits, and the dash at the end of a string is an animation cancel.
