I remember that Dion Jordan pick. All the draft guys on ESPN - Gruden, Kiper, etc. we’re saying “this move up to 3 is for Lane Johnson”….and they picked Jordan. Gruden said “He just hasn’t played enough to be this high of a pick.” He was so right.

@@biggd5046 I’m sure Grier was at least in the background saying “Yeah, yeah, Dion Jordan. He’ll be a great pick Jeff.” I’m gonna blame him indirectly just because I can. His grubby hands and low football IQ were involved somehow.

I LOVE your podcast Poup! Enhanced by Dave Hyde when he joins! Great job! (Love Perk also!) Loved the Dolphins ever since SB IX here in the UK. Just on draft misses I do sympathise to a degree. Hindsight is 20/20 and on the Waddle point I felt he was one of if not the best WR that year. Draft is a crap shoot to a point. Dolphins do seem to roll sh&t dice more often than most however.......

Unlike most of these comments, I actually genuinely believe the Dolphins are close, I just think we focus on the wrong things. I think Tua can do it with any receiver but we’ve never seen him behind a top 25 OLine much less a Top 10-15 one. Just give the kid a damn line. Let him get some time to pat the ball and survey the field. I think Trading Tyreek won’t be guarantee our line gets way better is truly the best way for this team to grow. Get a taller receiver to pair with Waddle and Jonnu in the 3rd round and another TE. Get another beast to pair with Zach Sieler. I think it’s truly close man. I really do.

Congrats. U two are finally on the right path. Pointing out all the piss poor moves made by Grier. When u consistently make shitty moves, u get a shitty team. Simple as that. And as long as he is GM, this will be a shitty team. The only bigger problem than Grier is the owner. This team is screwed until he sells to someone, and then we will have to see if that owner is any better. Guys, a lot of us will be dead by the time this team is turned around. That's just a simple fact.

Don't worry Dave, Head coach and GM will both be gone at the end of next season. New GM must have a vision of how to build a team. Not like Grier, asking every new HC who walked through the door, what do you want? New GM will say no! Sorry we will not do that.

We know the real reason they went jeykell and Hyde with the team building. They had to justify the Flores firing and reasoning for firing. So they had to go all in ti get them wins up and perception of being better. We just so happen to also be fortunate the AFC took a nose dive in talent level due to injury and or skill level. And it helps with the extra game and playoff spot being added. With all that it gave the illusion we were better than we really were.

Chris Grier has proven that he is incapable of building this team through the draft. He is a moron!
Also, I’m sick and tired of hearing about 2 year windows and 5 year windows regarding this team. I feel like I’m living in the old Soviet Union. This type of thinking is what has doomed this franchise. Our goal should be to compete for a Super Bowl EVERY YEAR! I live in the Philadelphia area and the media here NEVER talks about the Eagles in these terms. They expect (realistic or not) the Eagles to compete for a Super Bowl every season. Anything less is unacceptable.
