I love the horn. I spend a lot of time up there. This is so cool! It's good to know that just four years ago the horn moved. I would love to see it move.
What was the transmitter output power used in sending the music into space? Incidentally, that signal has now traveled beyond the distance of the nearest star system, although the signal was beamed in another direction and the inhabitants (if any) of planets orbiting the stars of Alpha Centauri are not likely to have heard it.
Antennas pick up sound not temperature. They used a found microwave background radiation NOISE to determine that the universes background radiation is 3° above absolute zero. This is foolishness. Radios pick up noise they do not measure temperature. Classic folly of astronomy.
Saw this in the V&A so happy it’s up and available to watch again.. wonderful !
love your asthetic and creativity!! support 100
Thank you!!! 🙌🏼

Super Cool!

here is a little more background stuff as it looks like you enjoy digging deep... www.nobelprize.org/prizes/physics/1978/wilson/facts/
Radio antennas don't pick up sound, they collect radio waves, which are fundamentally different from sound waves.
