My husband and I both use to listen to this song. He is a little older...his teens, (the 80's) and my teens (the 90's). This song is ageless. Brings my soul great Joy as we rejoice in our ageless Father and Lord Jesus. What a wonderful time it will be when we all get to be with Him for Eternity.

I break down and totally weep when I listen to some of these 80's--90's songs. I went through the WORST TIME of my life back in 85,' 86.' But through it ALL--I really got to FEEL GOD'S love IN ACTION!!

My brother and sister-in-law are in the same predicament. Don't EVER give up. There really, truly are some wonderful, loving, kind, giving human beings out there.... you just haven't met the right one yet. It's also often hard to get the right circumstances to align, in order to fully allow 2 people to get together in order to know each other's hearts. We live in such a fast paced world, where people pass each other by like 2 ships in the night. It's not easy, I know. Peace to you.

I listen to PetraPhonics album a lot during those years after its release. Praise the Lord for bringing this group together and even the Reunion Classic Petra concert. Timeless! May the Lord bless each of them abundantly!

well, God can and does use anything and everything for his plans and purposes, the bible says he works all things after the counsel of his own will, he can and does use Satan to achieve his means, but this doesn't mean this/these are his standard ways of doing things, so yes, generally 'rock' so called music is satanic and not of God, well, lots of things are not of God, doesn't mean he doesn't use them for his purposes, but they are normally not any standard at all for believers, just because God can and does use Satan, doesn't mean its ok for me to hang around satanists. God had his ways in the Old Testament and he has his ways in this age of Grace, for believers, I don't drink with a person drinking a lot of alcohol, in order to be a witness to them, even though Jesus can and does all the time use us despite our sin, but I get with them and love them and share christ as they are drinking, fornicating, gambling, whatever kind of sinning is going on. This song is talking about today's Laodicean lukewarm church of which has been this way for decades and decades-they are believers, but worthless to God, he has 'spued' them out of his mouth, I do believe there will be rank in heaven, and this is what our rewards are all about, and rank for believers throughout eternity. So most believers today and for a very long time now will and have already entered heaven, and when they stand before the judgment seat of Christ, as being lukewarm laodicean believers, spued out by Jesus, they will just be saved, so as by fire. They will have no wood hay stubble and precious gems rubies that the fire will test, so they will probably be some kind of servants or something in the kingdom of God for all eternity, while others who Jesus has done great and mighty things through on earth, will be given some higher rank of service in his kingdom for all eternity, because the lukewarm laodicean believers have 'lost their first love'.........Philadelphia believers which are so rare and few today especially, never have lost sight of their first love, - Jesus :) contrast the church of philadelphia with the laodicean church-complete opposites - we have lived in laodicea-steve camp has a song called 'Living in Laodicea' it'd be better if we lived in sodom and gomorrah, which we are-and worse, God says be hot or be cold - God has more respect for those who are hot on fire for him or cold-those who completely block him out even though they are still believers, than he does for 'the fence sitters' -the lukewarm-Laodicean. It says in Revelation that it repulses, disgusts him so much that he 'spues them out of his mouth' Jesus IS the Word of God, and definitely only the Word of God comes forth from his mouth, so if they are spued from out of his mouth, I'd say thats a good indication they are spued out from the Word of God, and thats what you have today, and have had for years, instead of brethren and sisters dwelling together in unity, like as before, now you have quarreling and contention confusion of every kind-they know not what the Word of God says and means-believers, that is, believers have made a friend of the world, many are the prodigal son, and they are not returning home to their loving heavenly father even though Jesus is still with them in their sin. Thus, they are just saved, born again, thats all, they are not growing or advancing in Jesus, in his kingdom, but hardened in heart, content with just being saved, not serving God, these are the believers of today and for decades have been like this-lukewarm, laodicean.

Petra saved my life. Rather, Jesus Crist saved my life using Petra as the instrument. As others have said in this post, rock music can and does honor God. I could not have been saved using organ music because that is not where God was for me. Petra literally means rock. I connected with God when Satan proved to me he was real. I had been struggling with God being the creator of all when I met Satan face to face. I used my mind to realize that if Satan was real, so must God likewise be real. The rest is history. All praise be to God! Petra is of God!

7/10/23 I Feel the weight of this world, and watch it grow in sin.. Even the church has changed, Jesus said, if you love the world, then the love of the father is not in you. I want people not to see me, but you lord, a light a beckon of Faith, a strong tower, that only cares what others needs are, over my very own.. You will not survive what is coming, if you have faith and Serve Jesus and do as he ask you will make it. No rapture coming! Its a lie! When Jesus DOEs comes back? The world ends! No second chance, not even in Noah's day or Lots day! I know of the lie that been told 500 years and still being told, yet many are still blinded from it.
