    I like the way the end rings were made. I was taught to clip with cutters then try to square the ends of the ring with the flex drive and a sanding disk. Cutting with the saw and the ends are already square. Nice technique.

    I should've been a jeweler. I never find this simple gold chain link necklace design in the pawn shops when I want to. I got a pawn shop owner who sells me gold jewelry for scrap prices almost. It's so cool. He doesn't charge much because I've gotten to know him but he doesn't pay much for gold jewelry when you want to sell it back lol.

    How would you make a chain that looks kind of square? Do you use a square gauge? I'm always curious how some necklace chain links aren't round but square.

    • @StraightRazWhor
      @StraightRazWhor 4 года назад

      Instead of a wraping it around a flat metal jig onto the drill like he did to create his links....make a square jig and tightly wrap your metal around that, then cut down middle and follow the same process pretty much

    Pues para decapar o blanquiar los metales se usa acido sulfúrico mesclado con agua y se lo hace hervir, otra manera de limpiar es con acido cítrico . Gracias por los videos hermosos trabajos.

    Potrei sapere se, in fase di montaggio, il diamante può essere rotto dall' orafo? In basso. Grazie.

    • @scaffoal
      @scaffoal  5 лет назад

      Può succedere che in fase di montaggio il diamante si scheggi sulla cintura, è difficile ma possibile specialmente con pietre piccole. Normalmente in pietre grandi il danno è lieve e riparabile con il ritaglio della gemma.

    • @scaffoal

      utilizzo un decapante in polvere da sciogliere in acqua, lo trovi in vendita dai grossisti di materiali per oreficeria, sostituisce l'acido solforico che è maggiormente aggressivo.

      It's what jewelers call 'pickle', which is a mild acid solution used to clean up the jewelry after soldering. Heating up the pickle causes a faster reaction and reduced cleaning time.

    • @scaffoal

      I do not remember exactly I think about 2 millimeters. The thickness of the thread must be proportionate to the size of the rings, I rely on the experience, and normally I do a test with a few rings before starting work.
