have had this record on repeat for over a week. haven’t been this excited about a new release from anyone in a while.
I wasn't expecting much from this album, yet I ended up loving every single song. It's been a while since I heard an album where I don't want to skip any songs.
For the uninformed, “Armageddon” is a song on Alkaline Trio’s “From Here to the Infirmary” album.
This new album is fantastic. Best thing they’ve put out since Crimson imo. 🤷♂️ they are my favorite band & I even have a lil trio tat, so I’m probably a little extra critical of their material leading up to this. This is incredible though. Doesn’t give the “old guys playing pop punk” vibes like the last couple of blink albums and trio albums, respectively. Love them forever.
I absolutely love this new album. I don’t know if it’s their best, but it’s definitely among them. So happy to have new music from my favorite fucking band. ❤💀
Agree, Teenage Heart is phenomenal! Like they wanted to blend all the cool parts of their songwriting together. The song has an interesting structure, nice three-chord riffs, Dan and Matt singing lead parts... a real banger indeed!
Currently on repeat 🤤
I will say I do like their more technical side on this one. Matt Skiba felt like he was trying to prove he wasn't just a power chord merchant lol.
I'm so stoked about going to see Alk3 next month. This album is so good, and they're my number 2 favorite band of all time ❤
I believe This album is the absolute best album Ak3 has come out with and that’s hard to say because I love Good Mourning, it’s a classic. Dan killed it on Versions of you and Matt murdered it on Teenage Heart, those are my two favorite for now but that may change. I have had this album on replay and I every time I catch a new line that went over my head the first go round. Couldn’t ask for a better album, every song is good and that’s almost unheard of these days
Thanks for watching!
@@NeverNormal how could I not! Thanks for making it man , highly appreciated
I love the album. Is This Thing Cursed? was incredible as well. Working with Cameron Webb has done them wonders. Got them back into their older form.
Also kinda surprised you love This Addiction & My Shame Is True. I think those albums sound like Trio lost themselves. But you also don't like Agony & Irony which is crazy to me because that album is so damn good. Might be the most underrated album by them.
Like I said probably nostalgia but I still listen to song from addiction and shame all the time. thanks for watching!
@@NeverNormal junior year? Yeah I can respect that. I’m not fond of that one but I can absolutely understand your connection. Dans songs keep me listening to it though.
I’m loving the album so far. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for Watching!
This record was so good! Matt played guitar like he was really challenging himself for sure. Also Just Editing note. Your cuts between lines are just a touch too long. But hey, thats just me.
Love the album, I'm so happy they are touring so I can finally see the boys live.
Thanks for Watching!
Are they coming to Australia do you know? Would love to get tickets
Love me some Atom Willard
Each song on BHaE sounds like it could be a single from a different album. Hot for Preacher - Crimson, Blood Hair and Eyeballs - My Shame is True, Bad Time - From Here to Infirmary, Break - Good Mourning, Scars - Agony and Irony... I could go on, but you get my point
This album is killer, but I have no idea where to rank their albums. The only one that falls short at all for me is My Shame is True (though there are plenty of great songs on it). The rest of the time, my favorite album is the one I'm listening to at the time. I share your love for This Addiction though. Side note, I'm seeing them tomorrow night, and I'm amped!
I'm from the UK LOVE the Menzingers shout out! I have seen them live in Manchester 3 times now! Check out a band called Spanish Love songs, they won't disappoint
Love the new album. I'm seeing Rise Against next month supporting Blink so looking forward to that.
Given your love of The Menzingers, have you checked out Gaslight Anthem?
I dabble with Gaslight Anthem, didn't like the new album.
@@NeverNormal yeah fair enough.. the mix was pretty ordinary...
I would argue that not many bands have had a good consistent run like their first four albums.
I am biased because they're one of my favourite.
Love the channel. Keep up the good work :)
@@kingma1513 Thanks for the kind words!
Love this album so much! Are you going to the Aragon show?
Not sure.
The one thing that I don’t love about this album is the lack of Skiba screams still their best work since agony & irony tho
This album is incredible.
Although, I'm not too happy with the Lektron stuff.
Armageddon isn’t an Alkaline Trio album, by the way.
yeah that kept tripping me out
lol yuppppp, thanks for watching!
dope album!
Thanks for Watching!
Good album. To answer your question in the title: no, it's not their best album. Self-Titled, Crimson, From Here to Infirmary, and Good Mourning all still exist.
Damn I wish I had gone to your school lol, I got picked on and fucked with for being emo punk and wearing Alkaline Trio shirts and skinny jeans
the only band that led to many many fun arguments was ADTR lol
@@AgentBeans Yeah man that's exactly what it was like. Except I was the only guy that dressed this way, the other 4 were girls. Made me an easy target for the redneck assfucks that peaked in highschool and still haven't left that tiny town yet.
Do you listen to the censored versions of the songs ? I am so confused.
Still listening to this album daily lol
same, bad time and hot for preacher are great songs.
You're saying this album is dark, my opinion, nah Good Mourning was dark. Case in point, "This Could Be Love" was darker than any song on this album. If anything, I think they're lightening up a bit.. That being said I listened to Teenage Heart about 20 times this morning. But it doesn't matter how dark Alkaline Trio goes, I appreciate the talents of these dudes. Separately and together, also I highly recommend all of the side projects of Andriano and Skiba. Specifically, Dan Andriano in The Emergency Room and Matt Skiba and The Sekrets.
Great album tbh
Thanks for Watching!
Skiba made Blink sooo much better. NO argument
Il still never forgive Wandavision for wasting Evan Peters as the Ralph Boner joke. If they could have just ported him over as a Quicksilver who grew up in the united states.
Love alkaline. Album is solid, pretty average trio.
Thanks for Watching!
