Why is she Tanzanian in the movie? Haiti and Tanzania are so different. They don't practice Voudoun in Tanzania, but I guess there's no lions in Haiti either. The audience is more ignorant about African-based religions than they are about African animals.
@74packman18 What is it called? Vodun comes from west Africa, so they do not practice it in Tanzania. The only reason they have them practice it in this movie is to have Kraven meet Calypso on a Safari. Not only is the Tarot cards supposed to be Voodoo stupid, Vodun in Tanzania is stupid, and Calypso being a mixed race woman, while possible and valid, is a questionable choice that mainly comes down to colorism.
