How the f*** can Elia be scared of sky diving , but is ok with standing a few inches from certain death !!!
lol Right?
My guess is because he actually has some control over where he's going and some sort of safety net other than just air and slowing a fall.
lol right, with no chute.
Stop standing so close to the edge, your freaking me out over here!
Angels Landing is such an epic hike! Freakishly sketch at the top when you get to where the chains are and look over the side down the edge of the cliff wall. Nonetheless, majestic. Bryce is obviously amazing as well. Especially, when you have the subtle coat of snow
It’s interesting that every time I watch angeles landing video, I feel really scary. But when I was there last summer, I actually felt pretty safe... not a single moment that I felt I might die...
Yeah it's really not that bad, the wide angle GoPro videos make it look much worse than it is.
I love that you're still rocking the airport Polaroid tripods.
Patrick and Nayomi were being complete badass by climbing up with the gopro attached and sometimes not even using those chains. Also sometimes Patrick was going incredibly close to the edge of those mountains.
Damn you Patrick.
I've hiked it a few times, it's a bit overhyped for the "scary" factor. It's pretty, and super busy and over hiked. But not that terrible once you're on it.
You know, I agreed about the scary factor being overrated, at least on the way up. I broke my leg at the top, and that hike down got a whole lot scarier 😀.
I know I first hiked this when I was 10
Found myself really disliking the epic-scary-exposed feeling they were going for. The view and ascent is interesting enough, no need to hype. I've done it twice, once when I was 12 and once at 28. It's not that bad. Half Dome beats it...and so do plenty of others. Cathedral Peak in Yosemite is ACTUALLY exposed and class 3-4
But great video guys. What a view.
I was about to post the same thing. It looks scary when a camera is mounted with a wide angle lens and dangling a couple feet over someones head. It's a narrow hike after walters wiggles but the whole hike can take 3 to 5 hours depending on your pace, so all in all, not exactly a strenuous hike.
I love this hike. It’s the best one in Zion National Park. Although, Observation Point is a great one too. I am local and I’ve hiked this almost every year for the past 20 or so. It only got kind of old when I hiked it several times in a single year, but, otherwise, I always love It. The camera angles definitely exaggerate the scary factor.
I really hope to do Half Dome someday. I’ve seen video and have friends and family who’ve hiked it. It looks freakier to me, to be honest.
Angles Landing, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck. It’s a relatively short hike. Do it at least once!
Don't worry about staying only a short time in Zion. You can come back and do the hike that's better than Angel's Landing : Observation Point. It's 50% higher than Angel's Landing, and much much safer. You get a better view.
Observation Point is also like a 10 min walk !
@@mrjm6752 No, it's not, you're confusing with Canyon Overlook which is 1 mile. Observation Point starts at the shuttle stop after Angel's Landing, and is an 8 mile return walk, rated 4 to 6 hours. Most seasoned hikers will do it in 3. See www.earthtrekkers.com/10-best-zion-hikes/
It may be a better view but the appeal of Angel's Landing is the uniqueness of the narrow bit for the last mile
That looks like more or less standard hike in the Alps here in Europe. In German it would probably be called a "Klettersteig".
I live in Georgia ( country ) and we have a lot of hikes where you're equally close to the ridge, except, you don't have any chains to hold on to :)
Unbelievable! The scariest hike I’ve ever seen...😱😱😱
Very disruptive object...a certain Tower... I love it
I did that hike this year in July. I get butterflies just watching your video
These BTS are the best!
Lets do the "Photographing The World 5 - Extreme Landscape", with shooting locations like, active volcano, underwater city, stratosphere panorama, amazons jungle, siberia. :)
Navi Retlav I’ve done the active volcano!!!! 😁
@@PereaPhotography In Siberia only the people are dangerous.
@@livewallberg Only bears live in Siberia. Some of them speaks russian and other local dialects...
I was at Zion, bryce, and other parks in that area in March with my girlfriend. We also ran out of light halfway down. There was ice on the trail as a bonus. Amazing experience I’ll never forget
Its a heart pumper too!
This was fantastic!
Zion is amazing. Clearly, you guys are really good at timing your shoots, too! Thanks for sharing your trip to Angels Landing - watching it fuels my longing to go there, do the hike and shoot the beautiful views, too.
My hands are sweating only by looking at this!!
Pucker factor: 10!
Photographing the World is by Far, BY FAR, the best education I have ever seen. Not only is educational but fun. It makes you want to grab your camera and run out to every one of this places. As a matter of fact, after watching Photographing the World 2 I immediately (literally) booked a flight to Italy just to photograph. It was an amazing trip and I enjoyed every minute of it just living my dream. Can/t wait to buy PTH 3 & 4 and book my next trip which is Torres the Payne. Still recovering from hurricane Maria but as soon as I am able will purchase.
U-u-u-unbelievable!!!! 😲
Agreed, favorite hike i've ever done. just magical
We wanted to hike Angels Landing while we were there but didn't think our kids were ready for that kind of a hike. Ended up hiking a couple others but the narrows was our favorite. Hopefully one day we'll get the opportunity to hike Angels Landing. Looks awesome!
I agree with a lot of these comments. I went on Angels Landing sick as hell in March of 2017 and it was simple to me. And this is coming from a light hiker too. 🤷🏼♂️ it was the most beautiful hike I’ve ever been on besides the ones in the Rocky Mountains. But it’s not AS BAD as people make it out to be. There were young children at the top. The traction on the rocks is so perfect that it’s hard to think of falling.
Are you guys crazy I had chills just watching !
Holy shit...Patrick's camera was freaking me out
definitely makes it look a hell of a lot scarier than it actually is :D
I put off watching this for almost 2 weeks because I knew the heights were going to completely freak me out - and I was right.
Still - what gorgeous views.
Loved the time lapse @5:14. Have never seen that before.
been crushing it with these last few videos guys...hooked
I don’t normally leave comments, but good god. What a cool hike. Thanks for sharing. So cool.
Yeah, the trail isn't so bad until the last bit which is nuts. Recently large parts of the trail were wiped out by floods. But what is crazier? The chain or no neck strap on the camera when holding it over a cliff?
Thanks for continuing to share bts. This series is so surreal and entertaining. That view atop the most menacing looking hike ever was absolutely amazing. Wish I was there. Terrifying hike, but it would be totally worth it.
Amazing!
Now imagine Angles Landing in the winter with show and ice all over that trail :) That's what I did a few years back and it was awesome!!
I really need to get one of these tutorials. I am not a landscape photographer but the trips you guys do are epic. I need to start landscapers. That hike gave me vertigo. Epic stuff, well done.
I'm so glad I did the hike to observation point in Zion! Lol.
Way less scarier, higher in elevation, but a nice path and the same view!
If you go again, you must to that hike!
That was pretty scary!
Long awaited vdo
I know the gopro made it look more crazy than it was but stll wow .... top stuff guys and looking forward to the second half of the series ....
By far, the best video you have done in a long time. Gorgeous!!
Bryce canyon is absolutely gorgeous
Yeah. Hold on to that dry twig. That'll keep your safe. Oh, and thank you for doing this and filming it so I don't have too.
OMG. UR INSANELY BRAVE TOO TO THAT. I HOPE ONE DAY I CAN CLIMB
UP THERE
That hike looks insane! You guys did amazing.
Loved that hike. First thing we did when we got to Zion. A+, would do it again
Angles landing looks pretty intense. I do a LOT of technical canyoneering in Zion national park, in fact I have a couple videos up from earlier this year. With that being said I have not done Angels landing yet. Everytime I think about it I see the line of tourist going up & down and turn the other way. I really hope I can find this hike sometime in the next year with a lot less people.
That GoPro perspective caused phone dropping hand sweats... Well done!
Love your behind the scense footage :D
Damn that hike though!!!!!!!
You guys need to do the narrows hike in Zion the next time you go. I did it over angels landing when I was in Zion In match. I got several amazing long exposure shots. Probably my favorite image I have ever taken is from the narrows. It is so different in comparison to everything else in Zion.
In hindsight I should have done a long exposure shot while we were in there. Until you get about a half mile in it's still a human shit show. Loved the hike.
5:34 Patrick the Video Game
NOPE, just no way. the look over the cliff edge was enough. That is a sketchy hike and waiting for folks coming down before you can go up, HELL NO
I love Angels Landing, born and raised in Kanab Ive done it a couple dozen times, the reason its so exhausting is because of the elevation, its almost 6000 ft. of fairly thin air.
Dang guys, that was a really cool and anxiety ridden BTS
The scenery from Angels Landing is absolutely breathtaking, besides the thousands of people. The hike is really not that scary, I've been way more worried of falling on some hikes in the white mountains.
Yea, the beaver brook trail with a pack is one of them.
great video!!
AMAZING VIDEO...THANKS FOR SHARING!
I don’t mind sharing - not a chance that I would try that hike or stand that close to the edge - I have terrible balance when I’m not scared out of my mind ! Lol
Great video and photo guys - well done as usual
The hike was MAD! I thought about stopping like every 20 minutes lol
WOW ! What a hike ! The perspective really came across 👍🏻✌🏻
Carry gears and waters up to Angels Landing is just painful last time... definitely have to do some exercises months before I go next time :)
cool stuff.
Zion’s is a pretty short drive away from me. Been there several times, it was neat to see your perspective on it :) made it magical again.
Give me a holla next time you want to do Zions - I will show you the really beautiful and hidden stuff you need canyoneering permits to do. Although be careful, once you start canyoneering in southern Utah, its hard to stop and regular hikes lose a bit of their luster.
Totes binge watching FStoppers rn so... bite me
Do you have to sit with the camera for timelapse shots or do people generally leave the camera alone?
Awww man, angels landing was closed when I went earlier this year. So jealous.
I think I peed myself a little when the camera would show the drop off. Holy crap! And major kudos to Naomi for holding the camera stick while climbing up vertical rocks.
love you
Please take me with you guys!! I’ll carry the gears!!!
Just makes me nervous to watch 😂 the height is insane! Reallt good chain btw 😂
Had to change my underwear after watching this video. I might have been cool with it when I was in my twenties and a little crazy...
Went there earlier this year OMG Angels Landing is absolutely amazing ! apart from the drive from Vegas Hiking Angels Landing and doing one other hike to driving back to Vegas for an amazing all you can eat buffet sushi! it was a perfect day!
Where did you eat all you can eat Sushi at vegas? I am going soon and love to go there.

@@deadpool790 Thanks!!
mind blowing awesome locations
My palms are sweating so hard watching this video.
I had so much vertigo as I watch Patrick going up. That's just CRAZY scary!!!
They make Angle's Landing seem like a life or death situation.. I did it and next to me was a 10 year old that also did it with no problem lol.. it is dangerous but not that bad
I love this channel, great content.
What's a polite way of saying No F#@king Way!
Not sure I'd dare to stay on the trails after the sunset, it's a mountain lion territory after all. Any wildlife photos BTW? :)
I got more anxiety from watching this than I did hiking angels landing.
O M G 😮 Got me sick to my stomach 🙀
😂they way you guys say “Zion” really makes you sounds like you’re not from Utah. Great video guys!
Oh hell no!!
"We also removed a very, very disruptive object from the background..." 😭 Well done👏🏾
What was it?
@@livewallberg TRUMP tower. He just shopped out the name not the entire tower/hotel.
@@pendaco haha awesome
That's funny, I went back and watched that part and couldn't figure out what the disruptive object was until I read the comments lol
I was there in 2007 when that disruptive element was being built, and it was unappealing even back then.
If y'all want people free amazing photos, go check out the 2 day offroading white rim trail in Moab. It's amazing!
where do they get the music from? Does anyone knows?
One of those stacks is mine hahaha
This is going to sound grumpy haha and I promise that I'm not this much of an asshole in other areas of my life, but as an avid hiker/backpacker, PLEASE take my advise in not building rock piles when you explore. It goes against Leave No Trace ideology and is disruptive to people and animals in the environment.
Great video friends, been at Angel’s Landing last year! Just one remark, since it simply hurt my ears: The emphasis in Zion is on the i, not on the o. Greetings from Swiss fans :-))
Zi-On. The emphasis is on both the I and the O, and here in the states, where it is located, that is how it is pronounced. They pronounce it exactly correct in this video. I honestly cant even imagine how you think it should be pronounced.
Nice work guys 👍
Personally I'd chicken out and instead use my DJI Inspire Pro 😂
which camera do u use to shoot BTS & B-roll?
Yeah right around 4:40 I would have turned around. CYA
whats that grey camera hes using to take the timelapse with? the small one anyone know? thank you!
OMFG...I don't like heights and just watching this almost made me barf. Very cool spot though. I love hiking but Im not sure if I could do this one..
12:42 did he use multiple photos set to varying exposures to get such a great photo in the end? I mostly am curious about when he turns the lights 'on'
Vincent Garcia Yes
7minutes in and I’m sweating just watching this
Me and my boyfriend attempted this on accident in the winter. Everything was covered in snow and ice and we were in vans. Made it most the way but had to stay behind because I kept slipping, my boyfriend made it but barely. Scariest thing ever.
I reaaaaally wanted to do it back in November 17 but it was just not doable with our little son. If I ever come back to Zion which I hope I will do it and shit my pants! 😅
Angel's is awesome and pretty scary your first trip up (nowhere as bad as this vid makes it appear). Maybe I'm clueless and dizzy, but what, you guys don't believe in IS?
