    Thanks for the removal tip!
I struggled for hours trying to take the axle out of the transmission from the side and bottom.
Never thought to take it out from the top!

Removing air box for access from above is a smart tip. You still should have pressure coming from two opposite sides when removing axle from transmission or you could cause damage or the snap ring could break off in the transmission. If one person puts pressure from above as in the video and another person puts simultaneous pressure from below with a small pry bar the axle will pop out very easily without having to do do all that heavy prying. There are other ways to do it by yourself but if you can't get simultaneous pressure from two opposite sides you shouldn't do it. Also I find it far easier to remove the two large lower strut assembly bolts for access to the axle than having to unbolt the ball joint and tie rod end. tomato tomahto. Great video with great camera angles; thank you for posting!

so calm and soothing - the opposite of how I would do this. i like your favorite crow bar. why not just unbolt the strut and leave the ball joint and lower arm alone? thanks

Removing axle nut with wheel on the ground may damage the bearing. Just break it loose and leave it in place when you get car in the air. I sticking 1/4 inch square screwdriver (Allen key will work as well) into the brake rotor vent slots and letting it rest against the caliper to immobilize axle. Such set up can withstand break away torque of 200..230 foot pounds which is more than torque for the axle nut.

Hello Peter. Thank you for returning, sorry is sometimes difficult to translate Portuguese to English, where I spoke engine's gearbox, the tip of the tulip teeth that fit the A transmission box. I was not sure, but I appreciate the good will. a hug
