Thank You Kelly. You have the knack to breaking things down, and making it a lot easier to practice and learn. How you remember the lyrics beats me. I have to cheat even with the oldies I should know off by heart.
I just came across this tune last week. I can't say I'd ever heard it, how can that be at my age?! It's an ideal song for the banjolele. Thanks for the strumming tutorial, what I usually need to practice most. 😊
@@e.castlerock8454 Glad you enjoyed it!! Check out the Live Jam video we did last month - it goes into quite a bit of detail on each of the various strums and there are some different exercises to help you along as well! Kelly
@@fourstringstrummer - Thank you, Kelly! I'll look into that as well. And I just saw the title of your video on buying a banjo ukulele. I'll watch that later, too. Although, it seems you have to be a fast strummer for a banjo ukulele. I still have a lot to learn on a regular ukulele first.
@@e.castlerock8454 there are LOTS of tunes you can play relatively slowly that will also sound good on a banjo uke (I just tend to do videos on fast ones 😁). Have a look at the tutorials for "You Are My Sunshine", "Wildwood Flower", "Red River Valley" and "My Old Kentucky Home". Each of those sound good slow or fast. Also, if you want, slow the video down to play along if that helps. Just go into the settings (the little icon that looks like a gear in the corner of the video) and click on "playback speed". You can put the video at 75% if you like until you build up your speed.
Thanks expecially showing the strums.
No problem Steve! Glad you liked it! Kelly
Great one to sing and play. A big thank you, Kelly.
Hey Mike! An old classic! Hopefully you can join us next weekend for the live Jam session!
Great lesson. Thankyou.
My pleasure Glenn! glad you enjoyed it - hopefully you can join us next weekend for the Live Jam! Kelly
Thanks for the awesome lesson. Definitely appreciate your videos.
Glad you like them Lou! Maybe we'll see you next weekend on the Live Jam! Kelly
Hey Bob Dylan. One of my favorite singers !! Great choice.
Hey Bonnie! We definitely need to put more Dylan on the channel!
You're so cool "big dog"! Thank you that was great! I want to grow up and play just like you someday! 😉
Hey Karen!! Glad you're enjoying the videos!! Kelly
Love the take away tip… keep your digits separate while learning the double strum! ❤

Hey Therese! Thanks - I'm glad it's working for you!! Believe me - sometimes there are a few takes when the words slip away from me!! Kelly

As usual another well done tutorial. A teacher who explains clearly the strum patterns for every tutorial. Well done video tutorial. Thanks Kelly
Thanks Anton!! Hopefully you can join us next weekend for our live Jam Session!!
I love the way you make challenging things look so simple. Super job!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!!
This is an excellent new explanation of the more advanced strums. Thanks. I had sort of given up on those, but now I’m going to work on it.
Thanks Bonnie - glad this one is working better for you!
Thanks for this detailed video! I'll save it to my RUclips library for when I get a little more advanced.
