Who says you can’t drive a Mustang GT well? The handling is clearly there at least, and with a good driver like this one, the stang shines! Is the car stock? What mods does it have?
Marco Giovannetti I did have it shipped to Germany for the three years I lived there. It was really weird because the car received so much attention, when in my eyes it is simply a s197. I went to the Porsche museum and people turned away from Porsche’s to video and take pictures of the Mustang.
@@SubieDood How much did the over all process cost you if you don't mind me asking? Very seriously looking into shipping my 13 5.0 to Russia since I'm planning on moving back shortly. Really don't want to have to pay what the car is worth in taxes etc but if its a decently quick process and not too expensive im definitely looking into it. Thanks in advance!
Thank You! Long tubes, full off-road exhaust, intake manifold, koni yellows and springs. Best lap was 8:08 with a passenger and could have touched the 7 min mark...was just getting comfortable before leaving DE
dgjerts also helps the ring is a lot kinder on brakes compared to a normal road course . Long lap with a fewer corners needing brakes. The ring rental cars won’t allow their rentals on the gp circuit as it wrecks the brakes
About how fast we’re you going on the turns S197s handle very good don’t get me wrong very great turning capabilities in cornering but anything past like 110 mph is SCARY in these cars trying to take high speed turns idk if it’s just me I just wanted to see if anyone else feel what I felt
Man I was driving my 2011 s197 5.0 on autobahn going around 125 mph and I was shiting my pants. Then I drove my mom's 2011 normal 1.4 civic and going it's top speed (118 mph haha) I didn't even noticed that I am driving that speed. It's a shame that you can feel more secure in normal city car than in powerful mustang, but that's a part of owning a wild horse I guess xD
Czarek Książka I Heard it’s because of the live axle it has drawbacks unlike IRS the 2014 GT500 was Designed to Turn however it still is a handful on high speed turns nose heavy light weight rear end but tires and lowering springs help these cars a lot
our cars because i drive a 2014 v6 with a manual trans, our cars unlike the newer model 5.0s we have a straight axle, the new cars have independent axles
I rev match on downshift so that’s not an issue. On the very rare occasion that will happen if coming into a tight turn under heavy braking and I misjudge where the engine revs should be
Not bad for a solid rear axle! 👍
Excellent driving skills, very smooth!
Very, very nice! Hoping to go there one day myself :)
Looks like fun!

Awesome rod
Amazing driving
Dream come true
What shifter do you have? I love the short throws.
At 4:00 mins into the lap! 💯👍🏾 At niveles 💯💯
Did you import it to Germany. What's it like owning a s197 in the Rhineland

German P it was free for me as I am US military and they pay to ship one car for us overseas
Great lap, what mods have you done

SubieDood Stock brakes or the brembo package? How did the brakes hold up? Any fading?
dgjerts 2014 GT500 big brake kit and cooling ducts. Porterfield pads. Zero brake fade and amazing bite. Engine Cooling was my main issue.
Ethan Parker I ended up installing a Mishimoto radiator and oil cooler. Solved my temp probs!

I wonder if a Mustang Ecoboost would handle better there with its lighter weight.
There wasnt ecoboost in s197. And s550 is a better car for a track with more modern suspension so it would be better i think.

Any mods?
Young Rios yea quite the list lol. Full bolt ons and suspension. Cobra jet setup 3.31 gears
@@SubieDood Stock style suspension or are you running anything special i.e. Watts link? Griggs products? Beautiful run sir!
The only thing is when you down shift you screech the tires which could cause you to lose traction
