If I connect the ADATA RGB SE900G to a thunderbolt 4 port will it give me the mentioned speeds of 2000 mb/s?

Does it speed performance just like the stock ssd that is already in the PS5?

I believe the ps5 internal Ssd is 5.5 gb of raw power. The read speed on this external ssd is if I recall is 3200mb which for an external ssd is pretty decent. The ps5 I believe uses a gen 4 nvme ssd and the mother board is also gen 4 so the ps5 internal ssd is fast but there’s faster which cost more but that’s for when Sony releases the update to use an internal Ssd base on their recommendation. From a external ssd hard drive stand point, it’s pretty good but it’s a gen 3 ssd so the speed is ok but it’s great when your booting up, loading PS4 games from it to your ps5.

No external solution will be faster then the internal SSD, but external is faster the re-downloading

There is another review in Spanish that says it was quicker that traditional SATA for transferring large files but slower for small files.

    Does it have password protection?

Sorry about the late response. I’ve been searching all over and I couldn’t find any information about password protection. I believe it has like data and other forms of protection but I’m not quite sure about password protection. I’ll keep on searching and if I can find anything about password protection for the Adata SE900, I’ll definitely let you know.
