This is the zombies equivalent to people modding 1.7.3 Minecraft and I love it so much. I really hope you keep sharpening this mod until its perfect for anyone who wants to go back. Not bad !! GG JB, when I hear the bandages, which a very nice and good immersion detail (small details like this give soul to a map). I thought about you know, patients and scientists as well. But not sure we knew about them at the time of world at war. I even thought about some verruckt sprinter with straight jacket on and have a "memorable" way to look at the player when they run.
Thanks. Gave up on the video series (for now), these only cover about a quarter of the modifications! Lots of stuff for weapons, perks, voicelines, bug fixes and easter eggs I would like to go over one day.

These changes are amazing! I wasn't sure if you did this already for your previous mods, but for the weapon changes video, would you consider revamping the box weapons to contain all WaW weapons? As for weapon corrections I think some names could be fixed for firearm variants. I always thought the Widdershins RC-1 should have a 30 round magazine, since the automatic fire of it was in reference to the M2 Carbine. It would also be cool to see the BO1/BO2 style of attachment changes for PaP variants, and maybe even the BO2 randomized attachment double PaP but I assume the scripting would be complex. Sorry for being an ideas guy, I really appreciate someone coming along and basically making flavor DLC for WaW while sticking true to the original aesthetic.

I finally had a chance to try out this wonderful mod, and I have just a little request: would it be possible to add Samantha's voice lines in other languages besides english? My game is in italian, and all of the other characters use the italian localization just fine, except for her for some reason. Btw you've made an awesome job, I'm so happy that WaW still has an active community even after all these years!

Fantastic video for a fantastic mod. It showcases a lot of features I was curious about when reading changelogs like the added animations which weren't always noticable in game. Your mod inspired me to make a map with your mod as a base. However, I'm not very experienced in scripting and am struggling to achieve what I want. Such as adding the Waffen SS from Nacht to the Der Riese base. I'd love if you made a video going over some of the code of your mod and explaining how it works. It could help some new World At War modders. I realize that would be a lot of work though.
You should join my discord i can help you more, but the zombie texture on nacht is luckily pretty simple because it's just a texture swap. All you have to do is put the char_ger_honorguard_body2_c.iwi file in your mod's images folder, like where it is on my mod. This replaces the light grey uniform with the camo, so if you want to have all 3 types with camo, dark uniform, and light unfirom then it's a lot more work. The waw maps in bo1 and Kino only even had 1 type of zombie, the dark uniform, so it's not really a big deal if you're worried about the light uniform missing

Have you thought about turning the cut german fallschirmjager models into zombies and adding them in if you can? They are just paratrooper units that were cut from the game
They are cool but it would be a lot of work to add a new model, theres around over 15 models per zombie variant because each specific gib needs to be modeled whether it is left arm blown off, left hand, right arm, left leg etc. I originally wanted to add more zombie variants but after trying it is too difficult unless you are really into 3d modelling. I do see the 1 existing body model in the game files though it has cool camo and different helmets. Shame
This is so damn cool! I completely agree, the look of WaW is pretty timeless and any cosmetic changes should be subtle enough that they look seamless but all together add so much more depth and immersion to the game, i totally love it. Recently started playing it on my Ps3 again and there's like 100 people online who play it consistently, it's amazing to have re-discovered it and the community, it's fucking amazing. (also, patch the Waff's ability to zapp away your jugg too if you can!)

I think the faster entry and player respawning in with 1500 points in is a good thing cause its funny a couple of times then if they get a moitov then its sad
What a wonderful video for a mod that I genuinely enjoy. If I'm being honest, your remastered mod has inspired me to set up a foundation of just a few custom maps that I wanna create with your mod as a base (especially prototype style maps) in the future. Even though, I did wanted to make my own gameplay mod with the remastered patch as a base first before I get into doing maps. However as far I'm concerned with WaW's modding tools, I have little to no experience with it and still have struggled to get it started since last year. Given all of the struggles and can't really understand pretty much how WaW modding works, I imagine that it'd be pretty demanding to get help and get it started.
fire mod, i wanted to play der riese but go for high rounds except it was the spawns that made it long. so capping it to 24 per round on der riese makes for great fun! highly recommend! I am making a map for waw/bo1 and want this mod to work with it, if you would allow that :D lmk please

This is nothing serious and honestly it bothers me too much but on shi no numa there is a lighting glitch where the light from a lantern doesn't display correctly. Infact when you get close it will disappear completely even tho it should be displaying light and shadows against the wall made of straw . The 360 version tends to look better because of these types of glitches being absent or much less noticable. Love the mod tho great work.
It won’t really look good to just update textures without updating the models and lighting. I’ll save the true waw graphic remaster for activison to do
@@JBShady Wouldnt be that bad. Most of the models are fine, its just muddy textures with jagged edges and things like barbedwire and maggot piles just being 2d.
amazing job man 👏👏👏 i have two questions (not related to the mod): 1-i wanna change safe area of the game to make it look like console version. in black ops it has some commands like "safearea_horizontal" etc. but i couldn't find any for world at war. how can i change it? 2-in game files, power-up sounds (insta kill, kaboom...) are deeply pitched but in-game they're high pitched. how can i make it like ps3 version?
Unfortunately cant change the safe area without modding the menu files. I thought maybe it was just me and my speakers, but I also noticed how ps3 sounded like power ups had deeper voices. So i didnt end up changing anything because didnt think much of it, but maybe I was right and they didnt raise the pitch in the sound alias for console versions. If so then i will fix that in my mod you can just change the min and max pitch in the sound aliases
I know I’m a few months late. But is it possible to increase the percentage of the zombies with equipment on them? I just love their design and it would be cool to see more of them when they spawn in.
The body gear is only on nacht and verruckt (fits map theme) but the reason it’s rare is mostly for performance, you will hit a vertex limit because you cant have too many detailed models in the game at a time, especially on maps like der riese with tons of detail. I also think its cool in theory, but it does stray a bit too far from vanilla aesthetic if too many had gear. Still, you could easily adjust this in the code if you wanted to, it's handled in the character folder in the .iwds. Glad you enjoy the feature tho !
It is possible but I have already completed the load outs. Many new cut weapons have been added, but at the same time I dont want there to be too many weapons/having some map specific weapons are good. Springfield wouldnt really benefit Der riese or shi no numa in any way
Weird take to "violently disagree." It's not that deep. You can make your own mod or fork since it's open source, but it does not fit in my vision for the maps and would take a lot of effort. Not just like a drag and drop the machines into the map.
Nice! And if you only care about Waw and old cods, be sure to look up their minimum required specs because by nowadays standards you won't need a top of the line gaming PC to run them, you should be able to get a pretty cheap PC that can run these games. Or if you want to invest in a more expensive PC, you can run more games like Black ops 3+

Yes, the points you get when you respawn was a feature added in later maps. I added it to all the maps

Disable Shadows in your settings and this wont happen, idk why having shadows on creates this issue but that's the only way

What is that howling sound for Shi No Numa dog rounds? I know it’s on the PS3 version but i could never find it in the files on PC
