Not gonna lie, I got some "WHERE'S THE TRIGGERRRRRRR?!!??!?!?!?!" flashbacks Some of the clips are just me enjoying Batman being a smartass. Overall I'm digging his characterization in this game
I really dig this approach. I haven't seen much of the game but I'm assuming the idea is that the events of origins really rattled him. He did learn lessons from Origins events. But he still has much more to learn. Also Roger bringing the heat. Becoming one of my favourite Batman VO's
All of that rage is bottled up in the later games, but you can feel and sense it just beneath the surface. The criminals know what’s he’s capable of. It’s like old Kratos vs young Kratos.

I don't think they were saying it as a critique or as something that's odd but just an observation. It's pretty known that Roger Craig Smith's Batman is the angrier counterpart to Kevin Conroy's older version.
Batman: *Punches goon near death* Where are they?! Goon: They are at- Batman: *Continues brutally punching* WHERE?! Goon: But I’m about- Batman: *Continues punching* WHERE?! WHERE ARE THEY?!
I don't know if it's just Roger Craig Smith voice growing deeper in the decade since Origins or if it's an intentional performance direction (or a bit of both) but he's sounding closer to Kevin Conroy's Batman inflection & pitch here imo.
@@themadtitan7603 I’m wondering if it’s intentional since this Batman is supposed to eventually sound like Conroy. Since this was a sequel to Origins it would be closer to Asylum
@@TripleAces99 I love his voice here regardless because it sounds more like the same Batman as Conroy's compared to in Origins which still some similarity imo. To me, he sounds like younger Conroy Batman in BTAS when his voice was raspier, for maybe lack of a better word.
This makes me think that maybe the reason his suit has a more "friendly" look in Arkham Asylum is because he no longer wants to cause fear to the citizens of Gotham.
@@TheBatman39He thought Leslie Tompkins and Harvey Dent were gonna be killed, and they've been there for Bruce since his parents were killed. He would obviously be pissed off about that.
@@Taytaystegall I think it's because (based on the trailers) they're setting up an arc for him to learn to overcome his anger before he goes too far & the stakes are more personal to him this time. While Origins was more about him letting allies in, there wasn't a point really where he learned to overcome his anger.
not only that, he picks up two sticks as weapons and takes a stance similar to nightwing's fighting stance before getting beaten by batman, and the thugs in the other room mention this guy having a close relationship with shrike which is also the case for some other versions of dick
A good mechanic in this game would be time moving slow while thugs shoot at you like in super hot, but i was skeptical about this game, and wasnt interested until now, but this actually looks like a lot of fun!
