Comments Zuretti, “‘Deserving of the Grave’ was a track that started with music I came up with in my head whilst flying home from somewhere. I got home and immediately jotted down the idea and sent it to Eyal, which he turned into an entire song. The funny thing is, Eyal gets my music brain so much that he pulled all of the Danny Elfman/Gothic-era influence out of a singular idea and made an entire epic come to life. And what's even crazier is that Danny Elfman literally wrote the theme for Tim Burton's Batman in 1989 the exact same way: on a plane. This track is everything Eyal and I love about dark and moody classical/cinematic music fused together with DÅÅTH’s sound. The golden seal of the track is our friend Jeff Loomis ripping one of my favorite solos I've heard in more than a decade."
Adds Levi, “‘Deserving Of The Grave’ comes from a really dark place. The day it was conceived, Jesse was flying somewhere and got a strain of divine inspiration, wrote the initial idea on an airplane, and sent it to me. Simultaneously I was flying back home from witnessing the death of a loved one, and received this great idea in my email, while in a really bad mental state. Upon returning, I got to work immediately and what you’re hearing is what flowed out of that terrible place. I think it’s the darkest song on the album, and the vibe on it is real.
“Besides that, this song has a special place in my heart because our old buddy Jeff Loomis graced us with one of the best guitar solos I’ve heard in my entire life. And it was a long time coming. Fun fact, but Jeff and DÅÅTH almost worked together back before the hiatus. It came so close to happening and it was one of my biggest musical disappointments. All I can say is that it was worth the wait. His solo in this song is the stuff of legends."
"I had a great time recording the solo for Deserving of The Grave for the new Daath album The Deceivers! Eyal came up with a very dark background that made things easy for me when it came to putting the paint on canvas for a fitting solo. Thanks again for letting me be a part of such a musical masterpiece." - Jeff Loomis

Great track from a great album. It also serves as a reminder that we need way more new music from Jeff Loomis - especially with the Arch Enemy shackles gone.
Thank you for watching and listening. Means the world to us.
👍
Awesome ..... Power.
Fuck yes!! Awesome.
Thank you guys for coming back🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Amazing band thanks for the album
Probably my favorite song on the album. I love the tempo change/transition around the 1:55 mark. So good!
Always love daath style
My favorite track on the album! 🤘
Mind blowing riffage from a guitar God. Legendary Band 2

The whole song is sick but that solo reminded me of the first time I listened to Jeff Loomis
Die Welt mit dem neuen Design, der Clip ist neu, sehr gut gelungen und die Musik gefällt mir sehr gut 👍. Gruß

We all deserve the grave and we all deserve to invest in what divine reasoning has to offer.
🔥
Those keyboards in the beginning are very Emperor.

センスあるね君たち、プロになりなね
Scary. I just hid my head in the dirt like an ostrich.
Hell yeah, 4 mins on, that's the DAATH I know!

It’s pretty cool to see the band members in the comments
Thanks for this fckig amazing álbum ❤❤❤
Thank you for such an amazing music
This song totally 100% rocks.🤘🤘
I listened to The Hinderers on repeat while deployed in ‘07. Fucking stoked for the new album!
Thanks to everyone for listening to our jam with our buddy Jeff Loomis!
Legendary solo! perfect note choice! Who else agrees?
Absolutely agreed, Jeff is perfection. So cool to see my favorite metal guitarist collab with one of my favorite bands!!
Anything with Jeff Loomis on it gets me hype 🤘
He's dope but definitely not the selling point. Dååth are sick all on their own! 🤘🏾
As much as I love Arch Enemy, Jeff Loomis was far too good to be held back artistically and not allowed to help write songs. I am so glad he has freedom to just do his own thing now and this was an awesome song with a perfect solo to close it. Thank you.
This is the best father's day present one can receive 🤘🦇🤘
I've just rediscovered Daath tonight, after maybe 15 years. Damn it's still so powerful and beautiful !❤
Jeff made me cry
sounds so fcking good
I just started playing music again after raising kids i spent 6 months trying agsin. Then after too many pop songs had to get back to roots of ozzy and the metal acts he brought along. Wow how advanced and intense This band has become. They kicked my ass back in ozzfest. My ekit and ibnez just looked at me after hearing this and said no way pal. Lol Ill take baby steps with jelly post and taylor covers first before getting 100 miles near these masterpieces . Drums are Sik
This is one of my favorite tracks on the album! The solos at the end are sick! 🤘🤘
That drummer though ! Wow
This is incredible!
Simply awesome 🤘🔥
Wow !!! Insane ❤❤❤
Na początku video pali sie chyba Polski Fiat 125p. NIE ZASŁUŻYŁ NA GRAVE,jeszcze jeżdżą.
Great band ❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
🖤🖤🖤🖤
Be skeptical, question everything. If there's the slightest doubt, pursue it. Chase the rabbit down the hole.
This has sooo much surpassed my expectations! So glad the realm has another Dååth album to enjoy!
this is my favorite song of the album, and definitely this one goes for my top 10 of the year
Nothing beats "The Hinderers." This album is comes close but I miss the symphonic and industrial elements of "The Hinderers." This album is my second favorite. On another note Jeff Loomis please start a new band and not fucking play shity Arch Enemy music. You are superior to Michael Amott minus Heartwork and Necroticism - Descanting the Insalubrious.
He's thankfully already left Arch Enemy
@@Malentor Damn, I had no idea lol. I stay away from AE. Thanks for this bc it made my day
Daath reminds us that groove is always king.
Love this album!! Takes me back to the Hinderers!
Man its been years since I got to jam out to Daath. WOW
Oh fuck... thanks for sharing 🤟
👊👊
Loomis 🐐🍻🤘
Oh my god, last time i remember seeing Daath back in 2007 for the Ozzfest tour, they were my inspiration for playing guitar, I haven't seen much out of them and though they fell to the wayside, let me tell you something awoke in me when I saw daath had dropped a new track, holy crap I'm so glad these guys came back!
Yeah dude, loved Daath back then. Couldn’t believe when I saw they were back.
Amazing
🤘🍻🤘🤤
such an excellent blend of my favourite genres-groovy, melodic, powerful and epic.
Just finished listening to your music and yes Loved it 🎉🎉🎉 love from Norway 🇧🇻🇧🇻
Another banger. This is my album of the year for me. As much great stuff that has been coming out in the 2020s, this record really stands out to me. Love it... The old stuff also holds up very well...
