Glad you liked it. I'd probably do the south loop. It's hard to quantify, but the hiked seemed a little more "wild" which is something I strive for. You also have the option of adding or skipping the Camp Dulen loop depending on how far you want to hike.
Tar Hollow is set up in an unusual manner. The main "backcountry" location to camp is where the two trail loops come together and also is right near a Trailhead and parking. Since we camped near where we parked, we had firewood in our vehicle. The guy I was hiking with grabbed the wood and "delivered" it to the campsite. Also, Tar Hollow State Park is adjacent to the forest and has a developed campground. In season, they are probably an option to buy some wood locally.
Oh, OK. That makes sense. I know the area you are talking about. I plan to head back down either this month or November but plan to do some camping in the spring. Thanks.
Me and my husband and kiddos may check this out! Thanks for the video!
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Thanks. Heading there this weekend. Im another old man - going hiking.
Glad you liked the video. Enjoy the hike!
I like camping there at the fire tower camp I like the primitive the seclusion the quiet and the trails are awesome
Great video, thanks. If you only had time to do one of the loops, would you pick north or south?

You mentioned fire wood delivery. Is that for real? I know we cannot cut wood so how do we get wood to burn?
