What they should do is have the colors of casual, pro, baller and mvp be based on HOW you play. Not based upon win loss ratio. There’s a lot of good casual players out there that are way better than someone who has a pro baller or mvp plate. Just my opinion

This is the first 2k I've ever played, where the defender can run you down on a wide open fast break and block you from the FRONT. That's how strong the defensive recovery slider is.
Not being able to see fg%, 3pt%, assist avg, and ppg avg of players before entering random rec is what ruined random rec. Now you won't know if you should close app. You end up in there with 4 trash players when that couldve been avoided.

One the they should change is getting boxed out when you don’t want to go for the rebound. i witnessed a great example yesterday. My opponent was a heavy cherry picker. Rejecting it all game until one possession after the rock was shot i was on my way to get back on defense, all of sudden i get boxed out by an A.i that wasn’t even guarding me, not allowing me to go reject a cherry pick. Free points for the other team because the game locked me in an animation. Still won but little points like that add up.

That dude talking about getting a block then being punished is fr, 7'3s are the biggest culprit of this on offense. You block them or contest their lay and they're there for a free rebound/putback, rewarding stupid play
This is the only game where rb button takes forever to work to bring the icons up smh. Be annoying when im trying to find the person im supposed to guard or try to icon pass
Just a heads up if you can’t pull up the icons for changing you matchup on defense, it’s because someone else on your team is doing the same thing. The game won’t allow multiple people on the same team to have the icons pulled up on defense at the same time
Bro if they would bring back hands up defense in the paint, remove RNG all together, and give us some normal 2k dribbling they would have a good game. But they won't. At this point I think they like to piss us off. Even the casuals hate this game.
When you hold right stick down you can get solid contest only if in position but if you not in position hands up shouldn't have no affect especially if a person good at finishing you shouldn't get a stop just because you standing there
In older 2K’s we always were FOCUSED on either FEET or the BALANCE of the Basketball on our SHOTS now I think it’s just your HANDS Mainly! But now I realize if we need better BLOCKING, SHOOTING, Including JUMP-SHOTS it matters if you’re MEMORIZING your SHOTS with your HANDS/FEET! Either way that’s how we shoot in REAL-LIFE!!🤔!!
Proving Grounds being the ranked mode they promoted going into the release and it still being this unstable is textbook 2K these days. Still getting “a problem has been encountered” messages.
What needs to be fixed is ppl playing a basketball game actually knowing basketball 😂, random rec is hell and shouldn’t even be. three ppl setting a screen at once, no spacing, no help defense, smart cuts. Should start requiring a particular grade in rec

Tired of seeing the ball pop out when I go up for a dunk or layup. Tired of stepping out of bounds going baseline, tired of getting the stunned animation after getting a shot blocked, or when the ball pops out on a bump steal. Can’t recover to get the ball. It’s not realistic at all

Cause they don’t really care about basketball, they just trynna get a lane steal and hit the break. They should start matchmaking by grade. Higher plates sometimes just means they play with a squad and can get wins or had a center build at one point

Templar's take IMO is spot on, I've been saying for years that the dev team doesnt play their own product. If they did they wouldnt have to rely on community feedback as much when developing these updates, and we would get a much better product at launch.
Yeah, my player has an 84 strength and gold immoveable forcer, and people are sliding off my player like he was made out of butter and getting easy baskets. I'm like damn why do they keep sliding off my player its like the game gives me no control over my player
In nba2k25 don’t reach just put your hands up, steals are 30/70 it most likely just gonna go back to the offense and they’re gonna score especially if they down, don’t drive baseline automatic turnover, dont button shoot it’s to inconsistent ( why have visual cue if rng gonna dictate if make the shot), run back on defense because most games comes down to transition points, in previous 2k scoring a 100 point as a team was a regular this year not so much. I would go as far as saying play a different game but unfortunately nba2k is the only basketball game out there. I the less you play this particular 2k the more fun you’ll have
There are two things I’ve noticed right away. I noticed that it was very easy to get the ball stripped not to mention I felt like the shooting was fairly OK. I was actually hitting and greening my shot consistently.

What I really want to know is what do the devs have against contact dunks. It’s crazy I am taxed so much on vc and attribute requirements to have a high driving dunk but at 6’8 I can get stopped by 5’9 PG with no interior defense! You get thrown out of dunk animations all the time and it really doesn’t seem like a purpose of having a high driving dunk when you can’t consistently contact dunk on someone under the rim. It really makes me feel like I was cheated vs when you see all these 99 3pt players having a field day
They need to do away with the squad and no squad in rec. you squad up with 2 ppl you automatically get an AI and go up against 5. When the 2 other randoms quit out you’re at an even bigger disadvantage in the game.
Idk they just added so many flukey animations and situations, for no reason. No one was thinking "damn we need more animations for ass bumping the wide open pass thrown to me, or the ball rolling around changing possession back and forth, or superman tipped passes making the ball fly all over the court"

My biggest problem is dunk frequency & how unathletic dunking feels, 90+ dunk should kinda feel like limitless takeoff Sometimes I come off a fast axx speedboost & think ima boom it do a long lay with full stamina & 93 dunk

Honestly the teammates getting in the way is the thing that bugs me the. I'll be shoulder to shoulder but it gives you a 5 sec animation eith your players crashing into each other.
Honestly they leave the rep and builder the same and focus on the gameplay it could be a great game. They did a lot right with rep,builds,cap breakers and +1. But somehow broke the gameplay
offensive rebounds are necessary, I play with a 6'8"SG. Playing with randoms, one to two passes then they're shooting.😂 Putbacks is where it's at this year. Plus when you play with a good team, crashing is the difference between W or L.

idc how high your steal is if you just run around constantly pressing square/x you shouldn’t be rawarded with a steal only a foul. Reaching 6-7 times in one possession and ending up with a steal is just dumb af

The blocks happen to me every game let alone i have a 96+ d-board on my builds and sometimes have smaller players with WAY lower board get them over me so very frustrating
They don’t call any fouls in rec besides reach. Me and my guys be getting fouled on dunk and jumpers, no call at all. I literally get taken out of my dunk animations
Its just crazy how far left they went from 2k24 bro it dont even make sense i played 24 yesterday and everything felt more responsive dribbling shooting even just going from myplayer to the options tab like literally everything in 2k25 is significantly slower and delayed
My problem with the game is if you play with randoms they have no iq or skills if you play with people you never get matched up with people of equal skill level you end up playing teams that should be in pro-am
Another thing i find that’s weird is if im greening middy after middy & using the same mechanic or visual cue to shoot the 3 how in tha hell can i be slightly early/late from 3when the cue is the same for greening the middy? And hot/lethal zones feels like a joke. 2k also is still on that bullshit where it switches your shot for no reason and will still fuck you over because you know the cue to your shot. I honestly see why ppl shoot wit real player % on. Way less of a damn headache
You must not watch basketball or played like the saying good great offense beats out great defense but if watch you see some people can play the best defense on the word and the player still finds a way to score like kobe he used to make shoots over 2 ppl at a time
I was shooting lights out yesterday probably the most consistent I’ve been all year. I have a 70 3pt, I switched to build with 91 3pt same exact jumper same shot visual Q and could not shoot to save my life… I don’t understand 2ks logic
2K would be so much better if I didn’t feel like I got to fight my opponent, sometimes teammates, and the actual game. Whenever I have AI on my team it’s like they are completely useless. Have no sense of concept of where they should be but when an AI is guarding me they have 99 perim d and know exactly what you gone do before you do. There should be defensive animations beyond snatchblocks. How is it that somebody can try to meter dunk me and fail because I played my defense well yet I'm caught in the failed animation, falling on the floor and out of the play for 3 seconds allowing them to get the ball back and get a bucket. It's min risk all reward for the offensive player.

I’m on the other like getting call for a fire and you’re nowhere near it or the defensive three seconds in the paint meanwhile, you’re standing on the wing. It’s just crazy falling down when taking shots that means I’m fine below the whistlefilling your controller, vibrating, and everything.
One more thing….2k need to match make random play based off average grade in order to play with like minded players. It’s easy to tell who’s being carried and hv gold or purple banners bcz the IQ don’t match the banner…imo

Templar's take IMO is spot on, I've been saying for years that the dev team doesnt play their own product. If they did they wouldnt have to rely on community feedback as much when developing these updates, and we would get a much better product at launch.
Yeah, my player has an 84 strength and gold immoveable forcer, and people are sliding off my player like he was made out of butter and getting easy baskets. I'm like damn why do they keep sliding off my player its like the game gives me no control over my player

In nba2k25 don’t reach just put your hands up, steals are 30/70 it most likely just gonna go back to the offense and they’re gonna score especially if they down, don’t drive baseline automatic turnover, dont button shoot it’s to inconsistent ( why have visual cue if rng gonna dictate if make the shot), run back on defense because most games comes down to transition points, in previous 2k scoring a 100 point as a team was a regular this year not so much. I would go as far as saying play a different game but unfortunately nba2k is the only basketball game out there. I the less you play this particular 2k the more fun you’ll have
There are two things I’ve noticed right away. I noticed that it was very easy to get the ball stripped not to mention I felt like the shooting was fairly OK. I was actually hitting and greening my shot consistently.

Bro they need to buff perimeter defense and ball handling. Nerfing perimeter D and ball handling make a boring game. Buff both so we can really get jiggy out there.

What I really want to know is what do the devs have against contact dunks. It’s crazy I am taxed so much on vc and attribute requirements to have a high driving dunk but at 6’8 I can get stopped by 5’9 PG with no interior defense! You get thrown out of dunk animations all the time and it really doesn’t seem like a purpose of having a high driving dunk when you can’t consistently contact dunk on someone under the rim. It really makes me feel like I was cheated vs when you see all these 99 3pt players having a field day

When it comes to defense gold defensive badges should not have any affect on legendary badges
They need to do away with the squad and no squad in rec. you squad up with 2 ppl you automatically get an AI and go up against 5. When the 2 other randoms quit out you’re at an even bigger disadvantage in the game.
Idk they just added so many flukey animations and situations, for no reason. No one was thinking "damn we need more animations for ass bumping the wide open pass thrown to me, or the ball rolling around changing possession back and forth, or superman tipped passes making the ball fly all over the court"
The game has zero logic at this point, millions of dollars and they can’t figure out realism. Ain’t no way they feel this is an accurate portrayal of basketball.

I got a big that I made. It has some speed on it but all of a sudden they’re making my big move like he’s in mud.
My biggest problem is dunk frequency & how unathletic dunking feels, 90+ dunk should kinda feel like limitless takeoff

Honestly the teammates getting in the way is the thing that bugs me the. I'll be shoulder to shoulder but it gives you a 5 sec animation eith your players crashing into each other.

offensive rebounds are necessary, I play with a 6'8"SG. Playing with randoms, one to two passes then they're shooting.😂 Putbacks is where it's at this year. Plus when you play with a good team, crashing is the difference between W or L.

idc how high your steal is if you just run around constantly pressing square/x you shouldn’t be rawarded with a steal only a foul. Reaching 6-7 times in one possession and ending up with a steal is just dumb af

The blocks happen to me every game let alone i have a 96+ d-board on my builds and sometimes have smaller players with WAY lower board get them over me so very frustrating
They don’t call any fouls in rec besides reach. Me and my guys be getting fouled on dunk and jumpers, no call at all. I literally get taken out of my dunk animations

Its just crazy how far left they went from 2k24 bro it dont even make sense i played 24 yesterday and everything felt more responsive dribbling shooting even just going from myplayer to the options tab like literally everything in 2k25 is significantly slower and delayed
My problem with the game is if you play with randoms they have no iq or skills if you play with people you never get matched up with people of equal skill level you end up playing teams that should be in pro-am
Another thing i find that’s weird is if im greening middy after middy & using the same mechanic or visual cue to shoot the 3 how in tha hell can i be slightly early/late from 3when the cue is the same for greening the middy? And hot/lethal zones feels like a joke. 2k also is still on that bullshit where it switches your shot for no reason and will still fuck you over because you know the cue to your shot. I honestly see why ppl shoot wit real player % on. Way less of a damn headache

You must not watch basketball or played like the saying good great offense beats out great defense but if watch you see some people can play the best defense on the word and the player still finds a way to score like kobe he used to make shoots over 2 ppl at a time
I was shooting lights out yesterday probably the most consistent I’ve been all year. I have a 70 3pt, I switched to build with 91 3pt same exact jumper same shot visual Q and could not shoot to save my life… I don’t understand 2ks logic
2K would be so much better if I didn’t feel like I got to fight my opponent, sometimes teammates, and the actual game. Whenever I have AI on my team it’s like they are completely useless. Have no sense of concept of where they should be but when an AI is guarding me they have 99 perim d and know exactly what you gone do before you do. Don’t even get me started if AI end up being your center!

There should be defensive animations beyond snatchblocks. How is it that somebody can try to meter dunk me and fail because I played my defense well yet I'm caught in the failed animation, falling on the floor and out of the play for 3 seconds allowing them to get the ball back and get a bucket. It's min risk all reward for the offensive player.
Man, this was like the time when they said they were gonna help with the problem of the hobos out in the United States of America. They never resolved crap. All they did was give it a different level hobo homeless man here you go we’re gonna give it a ring. it’s the same thing with 2K I go through this a lot. It’s just random gameplay sometimes I’m not even in there with randoms. Everyone knows randoms are the worst but sometimes you just be with your squad and you don’t know what you’re gonna get timing be off Right and see crazy stealing that should never happen because he’s in one side. I’m on the other like getting call for a fire and you’re nowhere near it or the defensive three seconds in the paint meanwhile, you’re standing on the wing. It’s just crazy falling down when taking shots that means I’m fine below the whistlefilling your controller, vibrating, and everything.
2k will never fix their game until someone comes out with a realistic game with a realistic physics engine. This Arcadish shit is for the birds.
