Klub? Why not mount a Porsche Boxer In a Beetle? Or buy that Maserati engine Citroën? These Entes are only half a car. Try sitting in it all day long. You want real seats, not foldable beach chairs. And there is more that is weird.
Excelente job, congratulation for your work and dedication. Takes hours of hard work to give us such satisfaction, looking this amazing video. Congrats
A nice, usable restoration with a great deal of work. Undoubtably enjoyable to restore, knowing the end result will be superior to the original factory build! BRAVO!
Same color as the one my Dad had when he took sabbatical in 1976. Unbelievably comfortable to drive. Not fast, but went through 18" of snow, uphill, passed a Fiat 128 with 4 swarthy Greeks in the mountains by Stavros. Crazy car - but I wouldn't want to get in an accident in one !
Very good thank you...great music and editing...a refreshing change from the usual sleep inducing commentary likely to be rendered by a bloke with a Midlands accent that never lends itself to optimism. Cars with provenance are always worth saving...fantastic work and enjoy your forthcoming bachelorhood 🤗
Great job, only wish I had the talent to do something like this. Love 2cvs, had several when I was boy, many years ago. Looking forward to getting another, but will have to buy something half decent to start with as I couldn’t do what you have done here. Well done.
What a beautiful finished product, you did a great job on it. I’ll bet she didn’t look that good when she left the factory that built her the first time.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
i drilled 3 times 10mm holes in the sloping floor panel inside our 2cv at the bottom of the bulkhead and sprayed waxoil into the doule skinned panel then inserted 3 rubber gromets into the holes, this stops the floor panels rotting out again in the future. hammerite smooth red is a pretty good colour match paint for the red 2cvs as well.
Go away with this music the whole time. The restauration was nice to see, wee done. And at the end of the video you can see that the good old „Ente“ as it is called in Germany has more style than a modern ( Lotus) supercar👍😎😝
I congratulate you from Argentina, yours after 17 years stopped was better than mine 4 years standing outdoors, I grabbed the worst hail in the history of my city, incredible but the hood survived and some dents, which did havoc it's the summers and winters, I have a lot of sheet metal work and now I'm doing the engine to new lift the engine by the staircase of my apartment, very heavy to take it up several stairs without help. Mine is a Citroen 3cv Prestige 1974 (it is equal to a European 2cv6). What I call the attention of yours are the tubes coming out of the gearbox, are lubrication or pressure? mine does not have it And another thing is the floating accelerator pedal, I thought that I had no more from the 70s or so I thought. I loved your restoration, I made some acoustic boxes made with watertight outdoor boxes and measure just enough to go parallel to the hood, and you can not see, very good design yours !. Currently I have the 123 bluetooth tune ignition, I have to see the advance curves to make it sharp, now I finish painting with thermal paint all and I will put fiberglass anti heat tape to the exhaust manifold. I congratulate you again enjoy it very much! It is an indestructible car and very fun to drive. Regards
Lovely job, Must admit I think I would have been looking into making it right hand drive for this country while it was that far stripped down cannot be TO difficult??
How was the state of the chassis that's the most important part of a total restoration, everything else is a piece of cake only money and a lot of hours work, but a rebuilt on a bad chassis is like a house on a bad foundation, it will fail in time, so all the other work is than worth nothing!
Silverback Sorry to tell you but no, I never received a reply from you, Hope you will try again, you see RUclips no longer has the facility for subscrbers to contact members via email. Thanks.@@Robinmuk
Gorgeous resto mate, very clean. I've got an 87 model myself. Love the chrome badge on the back. Noticed you don't have a rear fog, do you not need it for an MOT? Cheers
Excellent video. Just subscribed. You are close to us! I will look for you on my travels. Ours is a green and white Dolly which is on our RUclips channel.

@@arttafil6792 ahhh! A little jealousy against Silverback for skills you obviously don't possess? Perhaps keeping vicious comments to yourself is better in this format...unless of course you are far superior in restorations ( which I doubt) and would show proof.
I love the kid applauding the car at 19:25! Nice work, mate!
Kid applauding at 19:20, while the 2CV drives by, says it all.
I do the same. Excellent restoration. ;-)
Cheers
Brings back a lot of wonderful memories. Many ours where spend with toolkit, Haynes and the homemade repairbook made by the Citroën Klub.

Good when people have the commitment to restore things to their former glory.. Thumbs up.
That was an excellent video from start to finish. The Geranium red is beautiful. You have done a wonderful job. Lovely car.
Beautifully done, thanks for sharing your restoration with us!
Excellent restauration. I love that colour. Well done mate!
I watched it with pleasure, thank you. Congratulations, good job. Good luck!
I love Citroens (rare in the US) and you did a marvelous restoration. I only have one criticism, though. Now I want one!

Great work on the car and the video. She looks grand!
Love that sound!!
Well done, good job, she is a lovely car.
Liking the wood burner in the garage. .. v civilised. Colour combination looks good especially with black number plates.
Q belleza indiscutible!
Great job! I couldn't tell it was orange until you parked next to a red one.

It's beautiful you are a perfectionist.
I would really like to see a video on how you've repaired the roof

Beautiful, Elly is probably jealous.
You must've done it out of pure pleasure... In France, all spares and body parts are available new and even online. Nice work though!
Perfect beautyful love it 💟

What about the chassis??
How did you mount the speaker mounts?
Hi, I would like to renovate the roof of our 2CV. Can I request your building guide? Thanks in advance!
Tres bon.
Please can you send me details of your home made hood. Thanks
en de chassis geen nieuw?
I was never too happy with the bonnet, boot and rear door hinges. I’ve heard that someone used piano hinges instead. Nice restoration.
Fantástico!!! 👍🏻

Hello there, great job!
I would like to ask:
How did you paint the parts of the car?
No heat used after painting
so colour won't fade on metal?
Thanks
Im surprised it passed its MOT, the number plates are not legal. Since 1974 they must comply with BS Au145 White front and yellow rear
I would like a copy of your 19 page DIY hood building guide, how do I contact you/pay etc, thanks

1. Find a barn
2. Find the 2CV6

5. Find the 2nd 2CV6
6. Now you know the routine.

I would have watched it but the music prevented me from doing this. Get rid of this soundtrack.
Lovely music :-)
The terrible soundtrack has prevented me from being able to watch this video. I suggest narration instead.
All that time , work and money just for Footman James insurance to send this car to the crusher after a shunt . Total loss total waste
