The fact that MKIceAndFire switched to the Sami Rami suit before the Venom encounter is such a nice touch by him, it gives so much nostalgia in the cut-scenes of Venom holding Peter.

People who cannot stomach the current Amazing Spider-Man comic, this game is everything what you wanted that the comic failed to. Insomniac gets Peter, MJ, Miles all these characters at their core while still telling a unique story.

Y'all I gotta say, seriously watch until the end, this game is just INCREDIBLE with all the setups for future content, the possiblity for the continuation of the story in the next game, name drops all the way through... just another MASTERPIECE from Insomniac

its a great game, but a Masterpiece? Masterpiece means a piece of art that almost changes you, and this is not it, but yeah its probably a top 10 game this year, but not to be too much of a nerd, overall its subjective.

The lizard rampage through New York was NUTS. Yuri Lowenthawl sounds absolutely PISSED. His performance was easily a 10/10. Only thing I wish is we got more of it.

holy cow, throughout all the different playthroughs I've seen you do, I've never been more worried that you might actually die in a boss fight than when fighting Peter
If anyone is aware of the story of toxin (venom's grandkid) then you can truly appreciate the symbolism with Peter getting the last suit. Absolutely amazing moment in the spiderverse.

This is not even a game it's literally just a cutscene simulator and the story felt so slow in the beginning and was rushed in the end there was barely any gameplay Imagine paying 70 dollars for an unpolished dic. This is such an amazing game, literally the only criticism i have is the repetitive boss battles. The story, the world building, the character development, hell, the graphics-all amazing! I just wish the bosses didnt have quite so many similar-feeling stages.

Halfway through the side mission with Miles saving the museum with real life figures like Langston Hughes (around 8 hr 40 mins mark) might honestly be one of the best inclusions I have EVER seen in a video game. More games set in at least somewhat real life should do it more often. The Harlem Renaissance is an amazing time period.

A few lessons I picked up from this game:
“Balance isn’t a destination. It’s a process.” - May Parker. While it may be delicate and difficult, it is not pointless. And sometimes, to get there, you have to let go of some things and make choices. Cause it is better to have some things in life than having nothing or everything.
Howard’s mission 😢 taught us that even when you lose so many things. Even people you loved and cared about, that doesn’t mean your life has to end with nothing. Because even the smallest choices hold merit. Can give you purpose even. And as long as you keep going with that belief, your life is good enough to the very end. Plus, out of the memory of his wife, raising her pigeons that had no one else and taking care of them to the very end without expecting anything in return… Then letting them go free when the time was right but never forgetting them, that is true loyalty. And he was at peace with that. That is true friendship, even.
When the Symbiotes took over Peter and his friends, it didn’t “give” them all those dark thoughts, feelings, and desires. It was within them all along. That’s the price of being human. We all carry light and darkness within us. If you feel that the darkness is too much, however, seek help. Don’t go through it alone. Don’t ignore it or try to fight it either. Let it out with someone who understands you and can help you let go. So you don’t lose yourself.
And last but not least, Cultural History. All those Black artists and influencers featured in the museum in Harlem, their masterpieces weren’t just art. They were lessons, truths, and beliefs. They were reflections of identities and lives. They wanted to share them with the world. But most of all, they wanted to share it with the communities that made them and/or inspired them to be the people they were. Sure, they were given the opportunity by that donor’s rich and influential predecessor among others that may or may not have had an understanding of this. But it’s not a matter of whether you got the opportunity or if it was given to you or you earned it yourself. It’s what you do with the opportunity that matters. Those artists’ work were built from their own efforts and ideas alone. So it’s their history as much as their communities. Respect👍🏼.

Man, I experienced more emotion and interest in this game than I have most movies. This game was absolutely incredible. I don't know much about game devs and such, but the movement and expression of the characters were just out of this world. ok i love that little hailey segment. it's small but having a playable segment as a disabled person who can't hear, and has to feel out the vibe in order to solve a problem does a lot to show how people with similar disabilities live. it's not often you see video games tackle different perspectives in such a unique way.

Love the subtle Wu-Tang reference at 4:53:10. Mile's dad and his brother were bumped so Wu-Tang Clan could play on the radio.

It's programing and storytelling they DIDNT have to do and they decided to do it anyway. THATS why I was so stunned. I'm so used to games this big not giving a shit and taking the easiest ways out.

Maybe Doc Ock might be given a chance to switch his conscience with Peter in some way, but then Green Goblin might get involved, like in Superior Spider-man #27, or they give the player a Superior Spider Man costume I'm just spit ballin here🤷♂️
