  • Hey guys, Living Proof sent me their newest collection for all curl types so I thought I'd run through my first impressions. They didn't ask me to feature the products in any way but they did send them over to me to try so I thought why not share.
The products I used initially were the Curl Shampoo, Conditioner and Elongator and after a couple of days I rewet my hair and used the Definer and I think that worked out as a better for my curls. I'm excited to try the products more and may pick up full sizes of the styling products to get more of a feel for them so if you want to see how I get on with them at a later date let me know.

My hair was similar to yours and then I did this technique called squish to condish.... you basically put conditioner on your hair and force the water into the hair... the difference it made was amazing. Look up the bowl method, you will see... I never realized just how dehydrated my hair was until I did this. I have ringlets everywhere now... try it... you will be surprised.

Hey lovely, great video and very informative, I have just got the LP products and tried them out. I have not purchased the gel yet but I am loving the way my hair feels after, though it is no way a long as yours, but I am getting there :) Look forward to watching more of your posts :)

When you used the styling products , did you ‘rake’ them through your hair or did you define each curl? Would be interesting to know if you need to use different methods for the different products.
I really want to try the whole line but I have too many shampoos and conditioners already 😅I’m a similar hair type and was debating between if I fall into curly or coily so thanks for that!

Yeah I totally get that. I raked as that's what I usually do, I never have the patience to go through and define each curl but I know it helps with getting amazing definition.
With the elongator the hold just wasn't there - it felt amazing in my hair and it was literally weightless and it looked good as my hair was defined but by the next it's like there was no product left in it if that makes sense.
With the definer I also raked it through my hair and the definition and hold was much better. I think as the elongator is meant to be for twist outs etc possibly it would work better if there's more effort in taking time to set the hair but I just know I'd rarely use it like that so I think it depends on what methods you like to use. I think combining products will help too.
Sorry for the longwinded answer but I hope that helps!
