  • With 10.000 visitors a day Ephesus must be the biggest attraction in Turkey. Needless to say that we where more than overjoyed to have the place to ourselves. This giant of an Ancient City keeps blowing my mind. So all I can say is... join me!
Ephesus has been a city since neolithic times, but it came to full glory under the Roman Empire, as the capital of Asia Minor. It was the second most important city of the Roman Empire. Ephesus populace was largely educated and wealthy, while its buildings were richly decorated and celebrated the interests and the good fortune of its inhabitants.

Thanks for some great vlogs recently very enjoyable. It was 16 years ago when I did my grand tour of Turkey in early December. I stayed in kusadasi for 2 nights and visited ephasus and I too had the place to ourselves. Beautiful time of the year to go. I had decided to go that time of the year because it made sense to be away from the crowds. Great minds think alike. All the best for 2024. 😊
