Thanks for the video. I agree a lot with this method. This is what I have learned to do on my boards. I "sit-n-spin" the 3d view for a long time ;)
Question: do you use ground planes on your boards?

I pretty much always use ground planes. Most of my boards these days are 2 layer and the general consensus is the more surface area grounded, the better. There is an exception to this. A long, skinner "finger" of a ground plane that is only connected to a larger ground plane on one side is an antenna. Depending on the geometry, this could appreciably increase noise. (See Electromagnetic Compatibility by Henry Ott). As long as the "finger" is grounded on both sides, it's not a problem. This is my understanding anyway.

@@BrandonDrury Yes, I agree and use GP's on my boards as well. I just could not tell from the images if you did or did not use them. Thanks.
One more question; Are the vias you use on the PCB for aesthetics, plane-2-plane connection, noise steering, or all of the above? I have been experimenting with vias on my boards to see how they help or hurt it. I've watched a few videos by Rick Hartley and Susy Webb on design, GP, and noise and read some on at as well. It seems there is a lot of different views on via's, noise, and the GP. I'm sure it's less than a problem for my work but wanted to hear your opinion on it. Thanks.
