Love the content. I understand that different systems can get confusing. WHFB 8th Ed. main rulebook page 37 states that when a bound spell miscasts "If the bound spell is contained within a magic item of some kind (I.E the Golden Griffin) the item crumbles to dust and cannot be used again during the game. Do not role on the Miscast Table."
@@MountainMiniatures Dead right, wording had me all confused becasue its an item but also Innate. Was cleared up in FAQ though, I should have read that first, my bad.
Thanks, Max! Should uhhh... Maybe have sent those knights after the cannon instead, they probably could have seen it and almost definitely could have wheeled to make it in if they'd made the charge. At least from the POV that we saw, correct me if I'm wrong!
15:59 I'm pretty sure that charge should work RAW. move the khorne guys forward to establish base contact, and then because they can't wheel to close the door the pistoliers would be forced to.
Thank you for bringing us this battle report for Christmas. I'm stuck on a family member's farm right now and the internet is only good enough to watch RUclips, actually didn't think I would have enough to watch to keep me busy, really happy this video is up. happy Holidays and welcome new year from a town in the middle of nowhere Utah
This was exactly what I was looking for, great video. Note: the camera moves too much and it could zoom a little more on the models. Great video, thanks!
The whole time I was slobbering in pavlovian desire waiting for the flanking grape-shot of that cannon into the chaos warriors. Needless to say, it was anticlimactic as hell.
Hey guys! After the most recent snipe and Wib I was wondering if a mono Dogs of War army is viable for Fantasy. I'd love to custom make a few of them but if an army is viable then maybe I will go all out with 3d prints
About time we had an Empire victory them steam tanks are OG for sure. Always loved playing Empire back in the day Their rules are humble but with some very interesting rules and characters that make them formidable. Always thought Kurt Helborg was great really good against models with high amounts of wounds shame about him having no ward save though. Outriders were always painful for an opponent to deal with. Sweet video. New subscriber.
Arch Lector on War Altar has done WORK for me. He is always the anchor of my army. My loadout: Horn of Sigismund, Heavy Armor, Shield, Dawnstone, Giant Blade, Helsturms Staff. I like to support him with two large blocks of PIKEmen (spearmen with pikes), a Sigmars Hammer pattern Steamtank and a Life Mage. Makes for a very solid and painful combo.
@@evanbradshaw166 I believe that's using Warhammer Armies Project rules. The build appears to be a pretty a standard WAP invincible character, in this case with a 1+ rerollable, 4++, and stubborn ld 9 on 3d6 keep 2. I like WAP in a lot of ways, but combined profiles, ward save stacking, and powerful new defensive items can get a bit out of hand.
@@MountainMiniatures Sure, but when it was too late to matter. You're all about the movement phase - there's no way you didn't know as soon as he was blocked. I'm not faulting you or anything, just expressing my confidence that you knew.
When the juggernauts attacked the pistolers, they where a detachment of the parent unit next to it. They should have benefited from steadfast I don’t think it matters cos you rolled high, and I think you are out of range of bsb
Warriors really should have reformed on turn 2 or 3 to go around the Steam Tank.
Thank you so much Max for playing, and for Steve as always to bring a fun batrep, happy holidays~
It’s a Christmas miracle!
The time Steve played Warhammer against someone who never makes sound tactical decisions...

Max should have been going for okams on the knights in the Stank fight from the get go. And withering if he didnt have enough dice
unless its in innate bound spell

The dedication on display is respectable, lads.
Max, you shall surely be blessed by Lord Algorythmo. For the Mountain! For MINIS! FOR MORDHEIM!!!!!
Thank you guys for what you do but please don't die for us 😆
Also! Please never stop playing Fantasy!
man i miss warhammer, i really hope the coming GW revive of fantasy is more like the days of old. id be BACK as a GW fanboy once more.

"You're cheating: playing dwarfs taking horses" x'D
Kind of sad how his opponent didn't reform turn 3 to be ready by turn 4
Why didnt the chaos player REFORM with the warriors... and walk past the steam tank....

Not played 8th in ages, just been playing 6th for the past couple of years. 8th was a great edition but that hoard, and that magic… I don’t miss that

Thank both of you!
🙌
Now that's how you play Empire
Thank you max and steve!
Thank you max, and merry christmas
The Juggernauts would've made contact with the pistoliers, and the pistoliers would have closed the door :)
time stamp?
Fantasty 8th is the greatest Christmas gift of all.
Merry Merry guys! Thanks for an awesome bat rep!
I think you should get a 3rd dice with banishment on the juggernauts - they have demonic attacks so I assume they could as demons
WoC FAQ for 8th specified that only the Hellcannon and the Daemon Prince count as Daemons
You need to teach Max some movement in this game. Some decisions are bit odd that cost him a lot :D
Tanks being Tanky. What we love to see.
Thanks so much!
Nice tactics there Steve :) fun game.

Are you playing with alternative rules or something?

@@evanbradshaw166 yeah sorry, I was binge watching warhammer armies project before this and just assumed it was also WAP xD
Steve 100% saw that Max could reform his block of CWs and walk past the stank.
Yeah i said that in the video.

It's all fun and games... and then it's the Steamtank... gosh..😅
Attaboy Stank. Just park the bus.

Guys should try Kings of war much more balanced 💪
You know he got impact hits m.b.
