They’re such a good bike. Got my first one back in May, have wanted one for a long long time. 9 year old GSA, just ticked over 16,000 miles. It’s mint and brought it back home to the Isle of Man where it was originally registered. Mega mega machine. Euro road trip is getting planned.
The SOS button has two modes depending on how you press it. A long despairing press, will have a bespoke beard delivered by drone. A short press will begin playing a Nick Saunders video as he circumnavigates the globe on an R1..
Great to hear your shared enthusiasm for the GS. After watching your exploits on the 2014 model I decided to buy one based almost entirely on your recommendations. Now 18 months on I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Rode to Reigate from Guildford on Monday in minus 3 with heavy snow, far from being scary it was actually great fun and I had a smile on my face throughout. Thanks for sharing your excitement with your new bike, keep up the excellent content and a Merry Christmas to you.
I bought my first GS 3 weeks ago and it’s everything you said in your review. What really surprised me was how well it handles, absolutely amazing. I’m only 5’7” and with a low seat option it’s just fine.
Between this video and the 44 Teeth review of the Tiger that's 40mins of Baron goodness in one day... I'd pay to have that level of content each week. Really appreciate your efforts Chris and glad to see you enjoying motorcycling in the purest way of just being out and on a machine that makes you feel free (physically and mentally). Love everything you do!
Everything you've said about this bike is basically why I'm in love with my k1600. BMW just know what the rider needs to make the ride a joy every time
She's a beauty!!! I love it!!! Congrats mate!!! I wanted to thank you for all you do for us followers with providing us with such fantastic videos! I can't get enough of them! I really appreciate all you've done for me! You've got me out riding much more than ever, regardless of the weather, and you've improved my outlook on being out on the road, even when dealing with a lot of fucksticks! If you ever come out to The Circuit of The Americas, I'd love to meet you in person! Cheers mate! Enjoy your new toy!
Thank you so much, Chris for supplying us with honest and clever takes on bikes and surroundings. My hat is off to you, opening up about your bipolar condition (?). Not many have the guts to do so.
I couldn’t agree more regarding the GS. It’s on my list for purchase. Great to see BvG back doing some videos. Looking forward to more 44T videos too. Keep up the good work and thanks, as always, for all your efforts 👍
Thank God....The Baron is BACK !!! And on a GSA no less. Baron, I can hear the "Alps calling" lol. Love this Bike, it's the speck I'm getting but in White/Blue Rallye colors.
I love that bike Baron, I've unfortunately had to stop riding for now due to a back injury but, seeing you on that bike keeps me going and hoping I can return to biking in the future
You can do it. If I can, anyone can. Sorry to hear about your Back. I just commented on here about what I went through with my Back. Good luck with whatever is ahead of you with your Back Injury. I hope you are able to get well soon.👍
Totally get your sentiments about the GSA. I’ve always had Blades, S1000’s etc. But few years back bought a R1200GS TE and did the whole Europe thing. Bloody amazing bike. I’m back on a Blade, and while I like it, I don’t love it. Every ride is stressful for various reasons and stupid speeds are too easily achievable without realising. Maybe it’s time for a GSA..
Bought my GS on the back of watching yours and other videos absolutely raving about one. Had it 12 months and 1300miles later I’m still in love with it. Absolute Jizz machine.
It’s great to see you at home again on the GS Adventure. I love my sport bikes too, but there is something reassuring and just plain fun about the GS. You feel safe on it, in any weather, and it just has a substantial feel about it- from that very tractable, great sounding flat twin to the overall quality of the design and construction. I just picked up a new Triple Black (the 2017 version). By the way, the Navigator VI screen works fine in direct sunlight, and Optimate makes a simple adaptor for the electrical socket. Enjoy the new bike!!
Coming out and admitting you've had or have anxiety and stress as a man is a big deal and something I used to just scroll past if I saw it on social media. Having gone through it myself and still having good and bad days, it's the hardest thing I've ever had to cope with, fair play for doing it to such a wide audience and inspiring others to talk about it. I think the trip is a great idea buddy and I look forward to your up and coming trip and more of your ramblings!
Having many friends from England, you Baron, sir, are the most proper and most eloquent of what the british have to offer. Your review made me more confident in my decision to buy me one. Cheers.
Hi, That’s a Beautiful BMW. You said you missed Riding it. Up until a few Months ago I was missing Riding Period, even with a Bike in the Garage. I had a Harley Dyna Wide Glide and couldn’t Ride it. I have 4 Fusions in my Neck, and 2 in my lower Back. The Harley Ergonomics made my Back Hurt bad. The Heat was really bad. I traded it for a R1200GS and now I can finally Ride again. It is the only Bike I can Ride and be comfortable. I Love the GS. I never knew they were sooo Nice. It feels really good to be Riding again. I grew up Riding Enduro and Motorcross, then switched to riding a Z1 900 in the early 80s. From there to Harleys . Anyway I’m so happy to be able to Ride again. I was really down because of 3 Years of Surgery’s. It seemed like I was having one every 4Months for the 3 Years and then Recovery took forever. I had everything from Failed Fusions, to Hardware coming loose. Once they finally got it right and I finally recovered, I still couldn’t do much at all. I had the Harley and couldn’t ride it. Anyway, the Gs is just unbelievable to me. I’m riding again finally. It’s the only thing I can really do without hurting. That says a lot about the GS. I love the Videos and enjoy Riding along with you. 👍😁❤️ by the way mine is a 2006, with 38,000 Miles on her. Perfect condition. It may not have all the Electronics, but She’s comfortable and goes anywhere I want to go.I’m a Disabled Veteran, so you can guess I don’t have much money to buy newer….
Currently at uni and owned a couple of sports bikes before choosing a GS (I don't have a driving licence!) So the GS was the tool for the job, and between owning it for 2 years, countless trips home... it's honestly been a pleasure. I completely agree with you Baron, It's a tool, and yes it will last a long time! Mines an 03 1150gs and with the panniers on it does pretty much everything, i've put 35 thousand miles on it in a little over 2 years! I'm looking forward to qualifying and looking at a new GSA myself. Thanks for the positive outlook on this bike, I'm really happy you've found a passion for riding through it again. Stay safe mate! :)
I was thinking of chopping my GS in for something sportier like an MT10, but you’ve convinced me to keep it. Thanks for reminding me just how good an all-rounder it is, Baron.
What this really says is overall comfort (elements protection, ride quality, ergonomics, use-ability ) really is a massive factor. It makes bikes a lot more fucking enjoyable. They don’t look as good, and you can lose that speed thrill that a sports bike gives you, but comfort is a huge contributor to just enjoying motorbikes. All those sexy bikes you’ve been riding and the one you miss is the old GS. They should change their advertising :”The BMW GS........not just for old cunts....for all cunts”. I ride an XR “for old cunts who think they are young”
Completely agree with you on the mighty GSA, without a doubt the best bike I have ever ridden (and I've ridden quite a few now), there are no downsides other than that salty price - sadly way out of my league so I'll be sticking with my 2014 GS TE for ever more (which cost me £18K by the time I finished so I'm feeling a bit hard done by having heard you got your GSA for £16!!). What I would say is that it's very cheeky of BMW to make that gorgeous TFT screen an optional extra, no one will buy the analoque version and I agree with you again that having a gloss screen on the Nav 6 makes no sense at all, especially given the TFT is matt! Good luck getting the phone integration to work by the way, buggered if i could when i borrowed one....All the best and enjoy! - TMF
Don't worry TMF...I went to BMW and the top salesman who's wife works with my wife!...said "Simon you don't have BMW money"...which all my life I wanted a GSA before I give up biking!.....I was not hurt, he was saying it as it is!.....I am just poor lol
Well TMF...I should have said thanks to watching your vid on the DCT Africa Twin and how much you thought the DCT was witchcraft!..lol, when Honda had a great offer on in September I went and got a DCT and although I still would like to get a GSA before hang up my biker wings lol...that DCT gearbox for commuting to work all year round can't be beaten!...and the bikes not bad to!....both of you keep up the great vids you make as you bring a smile to us cold winter bikers!
Your comments are so true. Had the satin Blue Gen 1 version did 4,000 miles in 3 months on it and just rode it everywhere ! Also had a new S1000RR at the time which never got rode as there was no circumstance, other than track, where I wanted to ride it when you have a new GS Adventure in the garage. Pleased they have sorted the up and down shifter as the early ones were a bit Massey Ferguson. The big thing you don't realise till you ride 'other' sport adventure bikes, even the standard GS (had a triple black) is the amount of weather and wind protection that big tank and screen give which makes it THE most comfortable and stress free bike to ride. That is unless your in M-way road works with narrow lanes and it does your head-in with its bulk. What a flippin awesome bike, what a flippin scary price now !!!
Wow, I’ve been watching your channel for years and just realised I bought this bike from Alton BMW and I’ve got to say it’s amazing, owned it for 4 years now.
Thanks to you Baron and the Missenden Flyer I did it again. After I sold my old trusted 2006 R1200 GS, I just bought the brand new 2018 GSA. I actually wanted to try a different bike, I am German and live in Vietnam and the USA. Always had a GS, in Germany, in Korea and in Taiwan. Thought to myself lets get something a bit more raw, wilder if that's the right word. For my time in the Western US I wanted a fun bike. I wanted something with a higher torque, a scrambler or some form of roadster......could not find a bike that persuaded me. Because the BMW GSA just has it all. It is not a racer or scambler but the handling is so butter smooth that it is just so much less stressful and therefore more enjoyable. I am also a big man at 6'5" or 1.98m tall..... nothing fits, the HD Dyna wide glide does and maybe a HD Breakout with modifications..... so in the end .... back to the GS Adventure and yes I agree. Tried the KTM and did not love it. The BMW R1200 GS Adventure it is the best all around motorbike in the world... My 3rd one and I don't think I will ever ride a different bike. Great review and I am glad there are more people like me who think the same way.
Kai Speth as a tall rider, the Africa Twin is comfortable, have you tried it? Hope to rent a GSA in the near future, will rent aGSA for a day before handing over $25,000 to $30,000.
Baron I don’t blame you! I got my r1200gsa triple black a few years ago now and I wouldn’t be without it. I love flying around the same area as you (live in Fleet) on my Fireblade but nothing compares to getting on the GS and enjoying it without feeling the need do a million mph or be in pain after an hour or two! Touring is amazing too been around Europe on mine and it’s just the best bike I’ve had! I’ll keep an eye out for you on this! I’ll be the guy coming the other way with a 2012 triple black waving like mad! 😂😂😂
i've always loved your style for the record i'm 5'5.5" tall with a 27.5' inseam low chassis/normal seat.... love every mile rode a 2011 before any low chassis was available.... it's all in your confidence level so.... the mighty GS ADVENTURE is for SHORT GUYS, as well keep making great videos.... glad you are BACK IN BLACK great video
Good to see you back on the BM ... I have a triple black 2012 air cooled version with 31000 miles on the dials and love it to bits ... I commute to London Mon- Friday.and agree it’s a do it all Bike ....🤟👊
Great video Baron. I rode a 2015 when I was looking for my new bike. Wasn't interested in an adventure bike at the time but the dealer made me test it along with the S1000RR and XR. The GS was my favorite. I'll probably have one some day. My wife talked me out of it and into my Tuono which I love but I can't just get on it an ride whenever like GS would enabled me to do so I get what you mean about no stress and handling all weather. The improvements you mention seem like worthy upgrades. Not a huge TFT fan but that one looks very well laid out. Looking forward to more videos with you on this bike.
All the points you are making is the reason why I bought the BMW XR - I wanted the RR, that was the dream. But after test riding, as much as I loved it's performance, it didn't make me as comfortable as I'd want for my kind of riding and commuting. Having ridden around Austria/Germany Stelvio Pass stuff on a GS, I loved the feel and position of that bike but figured I wanted a little more pep. I love my XR, bike for life that one. But if I was going to tour across the country more (I live in NZ), then yeah, I would GS again without question. Thanks for reiterating my thoughts around, wouldn't be seen dead on one until I tried and it actually felt pretty flipping good.
The GS 1200 😍 , I hear people say how it's an old man's bike but it's my dream bike and I'm only 20. One day I will upgrade form my tiny cg125 and own a gs1200 adventure.
CookieGuy97 people say Harleys are old man bikes too. Who cares. A Harley is a cruiser and touring bike like this one. You can hold items in both bikes if your Harley has bags you can carry alot or items you can put bags on the Adventure too.
When i started riding 5 years ago, i was like " i'll get something like a GS when im old, im too young for that, there no fun " Now the last few months im thinking about getting something else and different from my VFR800, and so far the one that stands out to me, is something like a GS. A Honda VFR1200 X Crosstourer, took one out for a testride and found that its still a lot of fun around corners, but also great for touring or commuting. Maybe because seeing the GS like bikes on your channel or 44 teeth, it kinda changed the feeling about having something like that. But i was very happily surprised that i was kinda wrong all these years about how much fun something like that could be.
When I did my A2 license with 18 I got the opportunity to buy a ktm 1050 adv for 8500 euros with 0 km’s ,which completely threw over my original plan of buying a ktm 690 smcr and joining the SuMo life. The ADV actually was cheaper than the 690 and so it was a no brainer for me :) My friends were like:” why are you alreday riding an old Man’s bike at this age”,but because I mostly ride big day trips, I am glad I didn’t go down the route of SuMo. Now my friends actually get it and even struggle sometimes to keep up when I am giving my bike a proper Spanking in the really tight sections. I love this thing. Adventure Bikes give you a lot of Benefits(load bearing, torque, comfort, windand weather protection etc), but with no real compromise to make . An added Benefit is because they are nown as an old mans bike you seem to be invisible to the police, which is nice :) I already toured the Alps, the Morvan, the vosges and did about 20000kms in two years and I could not imagine a better tool for the job. If you want to cruise you can. If you want to jump into the hooligan mode you can. If you want to ride down some stairs or ride on gravel roads you can :) Ride an ADV bike and you’ll see what I mean
M8 your review cracked me up. Just tell it like it is. I am in the market for a durable tourer and you have sold me on this baby. Cheers and keep the excellent, funny reviews coming!
I do have experience with the 2016 1200 Adventure model and IMO: yes, it's one amazing bike indeed. Yes, it is incredibly easy to ride. Yes, they can be moved in hooligan-mode easily as well. But on the GS I always felt like I needed a tad more blind trust and confidence in the bike's suspension. Because that Telelever suspension in the front won't let me sense ANYTHING. I mean you never get a lot of feedback on those stilt-legged adventure bikes anyway of course. But still the Multistrada or the Tiger always gave me a tiny bit more feedback. On the GS I always had to tell myself:"Come on, you know this works, you just have to put faith in it." But to be honest this "self-convincing" never took more than 15 minutes. So I myself am actually glad I don't have to decide for any of these big adventure tourers because I'd have no idea which one to choose.
you say suspension is strange for you... Try speeding in roundabout then stop while leaned with telelever bike and ordinary bike. If you survive test with ordinary suspension, I am sure you won't look at it anymore. BMW's suspension gives additional safety and "breathing room" in any critical situation, compensates unprecise handling up to level and so on. I rode many bikes and this so called lack of feeling of front wheel doesn't bug me at all. Actually I now feel unsafe on any other suspension type. Whatever your choice - enjoy!
Funny you mention the front suspension on the GS, I ride with a group that has a lot of GS riders and every time we go out, one GS falls. I suspect its something to do with the front suspension. Its never at high speed, always slow speed cornering and sometimes when the road is wet. Could be the riders experience level but I have ridden a GS and I know what you mean.
Two things to personally thank you for. #1: After watching, I'm about 95% sure that I'll be taking delivery of a new 2018 GSA in the fall. And I'm overly excited about it. #2: Now I've got "that buttery biscuit bass" lyric stuck in my damn head for whatever reason. 👍 Be safe m8. Cheers!
It really is the truth that BMW simply has managed to create the perfect bike for nearly every type of riding save that of track work and even that is surprisingly good with the right tires.... My goodness, but I have taken mine into places I'd consider carefully with a large Enduro bike from KTM... I'd love to have a Ducati Multistrada Enduro Pro, maybe a Monster but my R1200GS will always be my goto ride for nearly everything! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
I rented the same bike for a few days this summer. I rode through the alps on it. I had a passager and rode for 8 hours and feel great went I got off the ride. I AGREE it is a great bike!!!! I am looking at buying one right now.
Great video as always good to hear someone with a definite view, especially as I picked up my 2018 GSA on Tuesday & with the few miles I've done on it, completely agree with you. Also nice roads as I know, as that's my part of the world.
Totally agree with u Got my rally last week Took it to get crash bars etc fitted Can’t wait to get my hands on it again this evening and enjoy riding it Best bike in the world that is an all rounder for sure
Agreed %100. My GS Adventure is my favorite bike. I ride it as much as I can in the winter, I've rode it in temps down to 16 degrees F (with heated gear). Thanks for the video!
Chris I am made up for you mate! When you find a bike you love because you can go to shops, tour do it all basically then it’s a keeper and in comfort too 👍 chuffed to bits for you 🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍😎😎😎😎😎👏👏👏🍻🍻
Great video BvG and great to see you back on a GSA. I have a 2017 model and absolutely love it; taking it to Italy in June and Spain in August. Your comment regarding the glare on the Nav VI is interesting, I thought they had made the screen more anti-glare! Enjoy the bike😃👍
As a sportsbike man it never occurred to me that taller riders might have reservations about riding them because of the possible discomfort on these bikes, especially as I suffered discomfort too. I lived with it, although the pain caused by a relatively short ride on a Suzuki GSXR 750 made me sell it as soon as possible. When I found out that BMW would lower the suspension on the R1200 GS I tried one and I have never looked back. I am now on my second which is a Triple Black Adventure, magnificent. I am 5" 7" tall.
I rode one from San Francisco to Nova Scotia and back. Absolutely amazing machine that is equally at home on the motorway or a random dirt road in the Rockies.
Just back from hiring a gs in Spain, 1st couple days it was an ok bike but when riding 2up on the Sierra Nevada realised why it is soooo good, even down hill it inspired confidence.
Sold my 2015 R1200 TE and I've regretted doing so ever since. Going to give it another year on the current pile shite and upscale to the GSA. Thanks for relighting my Jizz!
"... I don't really give a shit if you're too small to ride it, because I think you have a plethora of other motorcycle options." YES!!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! For highlighting that!!! I ride a GS Adventure (2005 R1150GSA) and it is the first bike in my entire life that I feel perfectly suited for -- at 6'5"/285. So, I get a little ticked off when I see people whining and complaining that it is too big!! They have, as you quite rightly said, a PLETHORA of other motorcycle options!! Right on, brother!
Yayyy baron is back !!! Been a while Chris but good to see you back to doing what ya do well , glad ya got the gsa ( we spoke about it when last we met at Bahnstormer) top man 👍🏼👍🏼👊🏼
Instant sub !! I am so in love with that bike!! I've watched hours and hours of reviews on it and this is exactly what i needed to see.. the affectionate stuff you don't get when watching a review of the tft screen and or self leveling suspension which is all very lovely, but still makes we doubt whether to go bimmer or ktm or or or.. thanks for a great job doing a great video..
I passed my test in March this this was my first bike (2017 version). I don't know if it's good or bad because I've never riden anything else but having disregarded all the "you don't want to get a bike like that for your first bike. It's too bid" It just seems so easy for me to ride it. Myself and a friend did the North Coast 767 after around 3 months exerpience of riding and it was fantastic, regardless of the fact that it pissed it down for 2 days. I can't wait to take it over to the Alps in the Spring.
I'm fortunate to have that very bike ... I love the bloody thing, had loads of race reps over the years, track bike etc .... GS just gets under your skin ... haters will always hate ( probably when they've never even ridden one !! ) enjoy ..... again 👍👌
Welcome back to the fold. I love my 15 GS more than any other bike. I bought a new MT09 6 mths ago, only done 200 klm. That 18 looks snazzy but IMA wait until the next big model.
Thanks Baron, thanks very much. Because of this video, and those of TMF & Buddies Insight to name but a few, I have a test ride on a GSA booked tomorrow. One of my kidneys will be appearing on eBay very shortly..... Great video by the way, all the best. Paul.
Th beauty of this machine is, it’s just as useable for us short arses. I’m only 5ft 8 and i could barely touch the floor in the showroom. Yet they put a low seat on it and it was perfect. Took on a test ride and traded my blade. I felt quicker and safer on it than I did my blade which is insane. But in real world rising and not track riding I found the GS to be the best bike over my R1’s, Vmax, CBR’s and Ducati’s. Great machine.
BARONS BACK! 🙏 Cheers man! 🍻 Glad to hear the fizz is there. Can't wait for what's in store for this channel and 44Teeth! 🤔Hope you enjoy the holidays and have a happy new year!🎉🎊 It's gonna be a good one! 😉
Baron. Just want to point out, you've just cost me the best part of £20,000 !!! LOL. Last owned BMW bikes in 2006 and 2007 ( New GS followed by new GSA). No bikes or kit since circa 2008. Just watched this and you have inspired me to get another one ( yeah and all the kit blah blah..........) Cheers mate, Steve.
This should be sponsored to bahnstormer-alton. Man gets preferential treatment from BMW to promote the GS. As a Pikes Peak rider I completely agree with you about this type of bike and technology. Love the video.
Neat roads. I have a '12 model GSA. My first BMW bought used and really the only bike that I would just replace with another one I like it that much. I used to own Harley's and after riding the GSA for a couple years now I test rode a '17 Street Glide. It is what it is but get me back on my GSA! Now this new refined BMW has me really motivated for a new one.
Nice to see this video, tried but can't get into 44teeth sports and brand new bikes I can't afford, whereas these video's/your waffle and adventures I really enjoy. Keep em coming please. Regards Buck
100% agree! Ever since I had a go on the Suzuki V-Strom (yes it's not quite a GS) I've been in love with it perfect all round bike for me wether the weather is typically British or not
genuinely uplifting video, wholly understand about regaining a part of your psyche/identity with your bike (sounds mental as it's a material thing). Never stop following it. If ever you boiz head up to Scotland in future I'll try get some of the network/dealers involved.
Today I've been out test riding the GSA, took it for the full day and put 200+ miles on it. The reason for the test ride (apart from the obvious) I bought the 2018 1290 SAS and it's an animal, great fun but wants to roast my chestnuts after an hour and throw me off at anything above 105mph. Although I'll be gutted to get rid of the Katoom, I'm off to trade her in for the GSA tomorrow. Such a lovely machine.
I'm a normal 5'9" rather than a lanky freak of nature like your good self and I can ride my GS with the standard seat height no problem. Totally agree with you that the GS is the best all rounder in the world, and still masses of fun to ride.
After watching your exploits on the 2014 model I decided to buy one
based almost entirely on your recommendations. Now 18 months on I couldn't be happier with the purchase.
Rode to Reigate from Guildford on Monday in minus 3 with heavy snow, far from being scary it was actually great fun and
I had a smile on my face throughout.

Really appreciate your efforts Chris and glad to see you enjoying motorcycling in the purest way of just being out and on a machine that makes you feel free (physically and mentally). Love everything you do!
So pleased you've got your mojo back. I completely understand the allure of a bike that does it all!! Absolutely spaffing! !!!
Two videos in two days, after months of you working hard and being quiet! Glad you are back BvG!
Everything you've said about this bike is basically why I'm in love with my k1600. BMW just know what the rider needs to make the ride a joy every time

I couldn’t agree more regarding the GS. It’s on my list for purchase. Great to see BvG back doing some videos. Looking forward to more 44T videos too. Keep up the good work and thanks, as always, for all your efforts 👍
Double bloody upload (44teeth+BvG). 'tis a good day.
and yesterday aswell!
High time for another Tour De Baron.
Off to the alps with you - again!!
Happy to see you happy again, man. There really is something about a well-setup, big adventure bike that is just extra fun.
Im glad you enjoy your new bike 👍
Thanks for bringing us real content in the clickbait world of youtube.
Stay the way you are Mr Baron ✌️
Thank God....The Baron is BACK !!! And on a GSA no less. Baron, I can hear the "Alps calling" lol. Love this Bike, it's the speck I'm getting but in White/Blue Rallye colors.
yeah i do love the white and blue....
Kurlach that's called getting old xD
Kurlach Exactly how I feel. I was a blade man and I loved it but you can’t help but love this bike and what it can do for you.
Just completed my order today and this black beauty will be here in April, thank you for your videos and comments, helped quite a bit in my decision.
Bought my GS on the back of watching yours and other videos absolutely raving about one. Had it 12 months and 1300miles later I’m still in love with it. Absolute Jizz machine.
NK46 1300 miles in 12 months, you should be ashamed
It’s great to see you at home again on the GS Adventure. I love my sport bikes too, but there is something reassuring and just plain fun about the GS. You feel safe on it, in any weather, and it just has a substantial feel about it- from that very tractable, great sounding flat twin to the overall quality of the design and construction. I just picked up a new Triple Black (the 2017 version). By the way, the Navigator VI screen works fine in direct sunlight, and Optimate makes a simple adaptor for the electrical socket. Enjoy the new bike!!
Love it. Please do more adventure bike reviews on 44t. There's a whole population of bikers who aren't fussed about sports bikes
Great to see you back
Thanks Chris, all that you said resonated, it’s great that you have good people that stand by you! 🤩👍
Moon Phaser3 😂😂
Couldn't have said it better honestly.
- TMF
TheMissendenFlyer sell the plane!
Don't worry TMF...I went to BMW and the top salesman who's wife works with my wife!...said "Simon you don't have BMW money"...which all my life I wanted a GSA before I give up biking!.....I was not hurt, he was saying it as it is!.....I am just poor lol
TheMissendenFlyer you still have a good Bike . I’ll swap it for my sv no probs
TheMissendenFlyer tell the baron how you video this is so shakey it is hard to watch
Glad to see that "aventure spirit " back again 🤘🏻. Can't wait to see your future raod trips 😉🍾
Mine will be delivered Friday, replacing my R1150GS. Looking forward to the same "first" ride!
Just bought a '68 plate GS 1200 Adventure TE, finally got the best bike in the world at 66 years of age, happy bunny.
I find myself coming here again and again. Just love this bike and your Voice is so soothing.
i've always loved your style
for the record
i'm 5'5.5" tall with a 27.5' inseam
low chassis/normal seat.... love every mile
rode a 2011 before any low chassis was available.... it's all in your confidence level
so.... the mighty GS ADVENTURE is for SHORT GUYS, as well
keep making great videos.... glad you are BACK IN BLACK
great video
Good to see you back on the BM ... I have a triple black 2012 air cooled version with 31000 miles on the dials and love it to bits ... I commute to London Mon- Friday.and agree it’s a do it all Bike ....🤟👊
The Baron is back and he has found his mojo! Fab video, thank you 😊
Because of this video, I just traded my S1000R for a GSA TE in HP colours. Thanks BVG 👍
I have a 2013 I ride everywhere. Best bike I've ever had. Touring, commuting, off road, camping, no problem.
Beautiful. Have a 2017 Triple Black myself. Love riding it.
I don't blame you for being excited, i'd be excited too. Bikes like this are my bucket list type ride (must own one at least once in my life).
When i started riding 5 years ago, i was like " i'll get something like a GS when im old, im too young for that, there no fun "
Now the last few months im thinking about getting something else and different from my VFR800, and so far the one that stands out to me, is something like a GS.
Hi Baron I totally agree I had a 1200 GS 13 plate and loved it when the GSA Rallye came out I was hooked, still can’t believe I have it in my garage
I took out the GS and the XR last year, within 2 months, sold my GSX-R and bought the XR, amazing machines.
A legend is among us :D
The gangly stilts is why I think the XR is compromised as a Sports tourer.
you say suspension is strange for you...
@Nathan Boeger: I suspect it's because your mates can't ride...
Nice choice again Baron! The start of last month I picked my 2018 GSA fully loaded triple black... and I’m loving mine too! 👍
Totally agree with u
Got my rally last week
Took it to get crash bars etc fitted
Can’t wait to get my hands on it again this evening and enjoy riding it
Best bike in the world that is an all rounder for sure
Agreed %100. My GS Adventure is my favorite bike. I ride it as much as I can in the winter, I've rode it in temps down to 16 degrees F (with heated gear). Thanks for the video!
Chris I am made up for you mate! When you find a bike you love because you can go to shops, tour do it all basically then it’s a keeper and in comfort too 👍 chuffed to bits for you 🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍😎😎😎😎😎👏👏👏🍻🍻
Last time I stood up on the pegs I got pulled over, asked why I was doing it....
Nice to hear you are back in and enjoying the ride again
I've rode a lot of bikes, i now ride a 2012 gs1200 adventure... what a machine! I think i'll always own one now.
I get it.I rode my friends 2017 and said it is the best bike I have ever ridden..Now to save up and get one, enjoy.
i was getting withdraw symptoms good to see 2 videos in quick succession your spoiling us
I'm fortunate to have that very bike ...
Argh, you are making me miss my GS, will get another oneday for sure, but I think it'd have to be alongside the 899 rather than instead of
Bloody great review mate. Glad you are feeling the love again.
Glad to see you're enjoying riding again mate. Keep up the good work
BARONS BACK!
Just watched this and you have inspired me to get another one ( yeah and all the kit blah blah..........)
Cheers mate, Steve.
Congrats on the bike Baron. It’s well deserved for the great content you continue to make. Keep up the great work!
how many SOS buttons are going to get a cheeky press whilst the owners are in starbucks enjoying a gingerbread latte
I knew you'd get another one. You actually sound really elated in this video, it's infectious.
Yep! I’ve a few bikes of different types. But my 2015 GSA is the best motorcycle sidekick I’ve ever had!
Nice to see this video, tried but can't get into 44teeth sports and brand new bikes I can't afford, whereas these video's/your waffle and adventures I really enjoy. Keep em coming please. Regards Buck
Great non-review, awesome bike, lots of room for all those Double Bloody Deckers. Enjoy it, and i'll be waiting for the updates.
The 'TE' actually stands for 'Totally Erect'
TheJittyMan fancy seeing you here
Chrome Fusion I get around sometimes 😅
Chris me too 800 miles on my zx10r in 1 year, so I sold it and bought an Mt10sp 😀😎👍
Finally, great to see you back on the King of all bikes
I'm a normal 5'9" rather than a lanky freak of nature like your good self and I can ride my GS with the standard seat height no problem. Totally agree with you that the GS is the best all rounder in the world, and still masses of fun to ride.
