I’m happy to hear that you’ll get to experience Intimidator 305 next year, it’s my number 1 coaster, and the front row ride I got is what I consider to be the greatest moment of my entire life! The rest of my top 10 are: 2. Lightning Rod 3. Storm Chaser 4. Maverick 5. Mystic Timbers 6. El Toro 7. Fury 325 8. Millennium Force 9. Candymonium 10. Leviathan
I always love the B roll shots you use in your videos, it always captures exactly what makes the thing special, also to capture & translate the size of very big stuff on camera & screen is difficult and it always looks as massive as it should
i completely agree! when they take shots of iconic photo/vidéo spots,it always has a different feel, and the videos in general have a very welcoming and chill vibe.
Thanks for the kind words both. I've owned my camera for 5 years and have only just really understood how to use it the last year or so. I'm pretty happy with some of the shots too, so I appreciate you noticing ☺️
I'm glad you mentioned the thing about Velocicoaster being a coaster themed to being a coaster. This reminds me of California Screamin' at Disney's California Adventure. A lot of people said it had no theming but that means they missed the point. It was a steel launched coaster themed to being a classic boardwalk wooden coaster at an old California Boardwalk park. Velocicoaster is essentially the same. It's a coaster themed to being a coaster built on Isla Nublar that in the universe of the story is actually going through the real Velociraptor paddock. It's a bit meta but it makes sense.
My current top 10 for 2023 after visiting Fantasy island for the 1st time last week 1.Ride to Happiness Plopsaland 2.Sik Flamingo Land 3.Anubis the Ride Plopsaland 4.Saw the Ride Thorpe Park 5.The Smiler Alton Towers 6.Odyssey Fantasy Island 7.Kumali Flamingo Land 8.Rage Adventure Island 9.Millennium Fantasy Island 10.Colossus Thorpe Park
Had a theme park bashing trip around Germany and Holland recently and went to all the big parks. I am very impressed with what they have over there. Lot's of good Mack, B&M, Intamin, Vekoma and Gerstlauer rides. Taron is great and so is F.L.Y. both at phantasialand. Loved, Europa Park in Germany and Eftling in Holland. Mack are halfway through building a new coaster for testing next year in Europa Park, called Tesla, that has a 4 abreast Intrasys stator system, (Most have 2, such as BlueFire), that looks like it will boost at least halfway around an inversion. Looks like it may be interesting when it opens. I really like Bluefire, despite it's age and my favourite coaster this year is Manta, at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. It is a 3 launch Intamin, with 4 inversions, one of which is a new element called a flip out. It also has the 0G hang inversion. It is a little more intense than Velocicoaster and has a load more airtime. It is low down but bangs in the forces from start to finish.
Europa Park's new coaster looks awesome, I can't wait to head over there to ride it in the future! I'm glad you had a great time at SeaWorld Abu Dhabi too. It looks like quite a unique park. Good to hear their launch coaster is pretty great! :)
The Top Gun stall on Twisted Colossus in 6FMM is just *chefs kiss*, so with your love of the zero g stall on Wildfire, I heartily recommend. That and Ghost Rider at Knott's Berry Farm were the highlights of my trip to California, and both in my (unwritten) top 10
1. Toutatis 2. Fénix 3. Untamed 4. Vogel Rok 5. Troy (6. Droomvlucht, technically a Rollercoaster) 6. Colossus Kampf der Giganten 7. Oziris 8. Joris en de Draak 9. Flug der Dämonen 10. De Vliegende Hollander Visiting Europa park and Phantasialand for the first time next week, so this list is gonna be very different after that :)
I'm really glad you made it to Orlando this year. (I'm also really glad that I made it to Orlando this year.) If you're doing a big US tour, I imagine your top 10 will need some revision. Hope I can run into you for a part of it.
I'm glad we both made it to Orlando this year! Oh definitely, my top 10 is set to change drastically. It'd be awesome to see you! We haven't quite nailed the trip down yet, but I'll be sure to post about when I know more :)
I need to get out to Europe. Taron, Helix, and Taiga all look like A++ launching roller coasters, but I am shocked that you haven't done El Toro, yet. It is very much the pride and joy of south jersey. It's aged a little, but that jawn throws you like no other.
I think Volcicoaster is a good experience great theming and operations but it’s not as intense as I was expecting. It’s a good coaster and if I’m Orlando I’d always ride it but I don’t see it as a top 10 steel coaster level. Iron Gwazi is different that’s worth hotel by itself.
@@coasterbot I wondered if something like that may have happened. Oh well! Good video. I'm looking forward to what your list looks like after hitting more American parks next year!
I like how high you put Karnan, I feel like it’s layout is really underrated. It looks like a full package. Ireally hope to ride it one day. Here is my top 10 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Iron Gwazi 3. Twisted Timbers 4. Maverick 5. Lightning Rod 6. Fury 325 7. Intimidator 305 8. Copperhead Strike 9. Mystic Timbers 10. Magnum XL 200
@@coasterbot yeah, RMC is my favorite manufacturer right now, but I haven’t been on many major Intamin coasters. The only major ones I’ve been on is i305, Maverick, and Millennium Force
Kärnan is an amazing coaster, but the lap bars literally hurt my legs every time. It was pretty rough when I rode it last september. It's almost a bit too aggressive? It's my nr. 12 coaster, so still near the top!
Here is my personal top 10 1. Velocicaoster (Universal Orlando) 2. Twisted Timbers (Kings Dominion) 3. Iron Gwazi (Busch Gardens Tampa) 4. Millennium Force (Cedar Point) 5. Montu (Busch Gardens Tampa) 6. Mako (Sea World Orlando) 7. Copperhead Strike (Carowinds) 8. Twisted Cyclone (Six Flags Over Georgia) 9. Maverick (Cedar Point) 10. Hangtime (Knotts Berry Farm) *I was not able to ride Fury 325 due to it being down and Steel Vengeance I rode before getting into coasters so all I remember is that it was long*
Great list! This year definitely has been a blast of new coasters for me as well! Still planning on going to new parks, but my top 10 is as follows: 1. Iron Gwazi 2. Batman Gotham City Escape 3. VelociCoaster 4. El Toro 5. Shambhala 6. Mako 7. Nitro 8. Montu 9. Gold Striker 10. Cheetah Hunt
@mathieujacob4474 I thought the pacing and airtime at GCE was better. Veloci has the better launches and ending with the mosassaurus roll, though. Close one, but GCE has the slight edge for me
@@coasterbot mainly on the unbanked double up double down but also during the returning speed hills and unbanked turn in between the last inversion and the final brake run
Nice list!! can't wait for ride IG! Personally, Karnan is not that high for me. I mean, I LOVE this ride, but the fact that you can't choose your seat and it's quite shakey brings it quite down..
Being a Florida resident, I have very strong opinions on all FL coasters. The "in" thing to do is rank Velocicoaster #1 or #2, but in reality, it is more a top 6-7 coaster out there. You seem to put theming very high, and while theming does absolutely nothing to my rankings of a coaster, I understand it's your list. Still a great list, but Iron Gwazi is easily better than velocicoaster. I would even rank Mako over velocicoaster on certain days.
Nice list.... I sadly havent traveld to far for coasters yet, but this is my current list.... 1 FLY 1 Batman gotham city escape 2 Untamed 3 Taron 4 Goliath 5 BlackMamba 6 Woodan 7 Lost gravity 8 winjas 9 blue fire 10 Van helsings
My current top 10 (which will also probably change next summer since I'm hoping to get to sfga next year): 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Maverick 3. VelociCoaster 4. Wildcat's Revenge 5. Skyrush 6. Storm Runner 7. Fury 325 8. Millenium Force 9. Hagrid's MCMA 10. Candymonium
@@coasterbot thanks! i haven't been to many parks since I became an enthusiast in late 2019 (right before shutdown), but I made sure to hit big places early
I know I’m about a month late, but that was a fascinating list. My top ten would look a lot different since I haven’t been on a lot of those coasters yet since I live in America. I find it special that my 200th coaster was your #1!
My top 10 is made from European parks ( Germany, Poland, Spain, Belgium and Netherlands)+ BGT and islands of adventure. 1) Zadra 2) Velocicoaster 3) Iron Gwazi 4) RTH 5) Untamed (RMC) 6) Hyperion 7) Kondaa 8) Shambhala 9) F.L.Y. 10) Expedition geforce
Just starting out as a thoosie in my mid fifties, and I’m in Oz, so I have a fair way to travel to get to European and American coasters. Have just visited Poland and the Netherlands though, so my top ten coasters actually ridden now consists of: 1. Hyperion Energylandia 2. Zadra Energylandia 3. DC Rivals Warners Movie World 4. Untamed Walibi Holland 5. Steel Taipan Dreamworld 6. Lost Gravity Walibi Holland 7. Abyssus Energylandia 8. Bush Beast, Australia’s Wonderland 9. Goliath Walibi Holland 10. Gold Coaster Dreamworld Really looking forward to riding Superman Escape, Leviathan and Green Lantern later this month!
Nice to see a list with Helix so high up. Even after all these years it's still up there in my S tier of coasters. RTH has grown on me since my last visit and i'm starting to understand why some people rank it so high. But not quite there for me yet. Maybe after another visit...
my top 11 is: 1. The Smiler 2. The Swarm 3. Nemesis Inferno 4. Galactica 5. SAW: the Ride 6. Colossus 7. Wicker Man 8. Stealth 9. Oblivion 10. Mandril Mayhem 11. Th13rteen thirteen and mandrill mayhem are tied for me so its top 11 instead of top 10
Sounds like Sweden is the place to go. I should be visiting next year. 3 of our top 4 are similar to just shuffled around a bit. Rode Taron this year and I think it has a few stand out moments. Maybe not to the level of some others. It is my #15 which isn’t bad when your coaster count is 575.
Great top 10! I voted on the Vote Coasters poll the other day. Out of my 87 credits, my top 10 is 1. Lightning Rod at Dollywood 2. Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion 3. Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure 4. Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg 5. Jurassic World: Velocicoaster at Universal's Islands of Adventure 6. Twisted Timbers at Kings Dominion 7. El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure 8. Jersey Devil Coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure 9. Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg 10. Candymonium at Hersheypark Cosmic Rewind is at #12. That ride is amazing. I can relate to how you feel about Untamed because Twisted Timbers is similar. I wish it had a better sense of speed, but it is fast paced I feel like maybe I should put Velocicoaster higher. I might eventually or when I reride it. Kingda Ka really blew me away, and I need more rides on Velocicoaster. I rode Pantheon more recently, so that could be part of why I rank it over Velocicoaster. I feel like Pantheon tries to be intense for most of the ride, whereas Velocicoaster's first half has some parts that aren't as intense. I love theming, but I generally don't let queue theming sway my opinion on the coaster itself. The on-ride theming is cool, but I'd rather have more intense elements than the theming on that first half. It took riding Lightning Rod like 5 times for it to become my number one. The front row night ride that I got was amazing. It was cool talking to you the other day.
Hey thanks for taking part in Vote Coasters. Nice list too! Honestly night rides can make all the difference. Some rides can go from being pretty good to simply amazing in the dark!
@@coasterbot Yeah night rides can be awesome. I haven't gotten too many though. I've been on Gale Force, Wild Waves, Whirlwind Lightning Rod, SooperDooperLooper, Flight of Fear, and Reptilian at night that I can think of. Lightning Rod was definitely my favorite night ride
Hi, when you went to Florida did you do anything other thn the theme parks? Anything you'd recommend? I'm thinking of going and it would b nice to have something to break up the theme park visits.
Excellent list, but it's missing The Voyage, (which I haven't ridden yet) and Fury 325 and Steel Vengeance, which I have ridden. Then again: I haven't even ridden one coaster on this list yet, and I just came back from a 48 hour trip to Sunnyvale and Santa Clara to visit California's Great America for my 1st and last time for one 10 hour day exactly 3.5 hours ago. I visited Carowinds for my 1st time in mid April for 3 days and 4 hours of the next day I had to fly home in Surrey, a South Eastern Suburb of Vancouver B.C. I rode Fury 325 97 times! I also visited King's Island for my 1st time in four full 12 hour days in early June.
My top 10 (Keep in mind that I've only started counting them since last year or so and my only US park is Cedar Point where I wasn't able to ride every thing) 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Ride To Happiness 3. Maverick (If the restrains were modern Intamin lap bars this would probably be my nr.1) 4. Taron (I'm talking about these lap bars) 5. Untamed 6. Kondaa 7. Millennium Force 8. Colossos - Kampf der Giganten 9. F.L.Y. 10. Raptor
@@coasterbot Pretty pleased with it myself, yeah! Planning to visit Parc Asterix, Holiday Park, Tripsdrill and Europa Park next year. Hopefully Energylandia the year after that and I really want to visit your beautiful UK someday, too! Then there's Scandinavia and Spain that have incredible parks as well and don't even get me started about all the US parks I want to visit. I've saved up years to go to Cedar Point and I didn't even get to ride everything, but I'll get back to it one day - I'm sure! If only every thing wasn't so damn expensive 😅😅
That's an awesome top 10! Got to visit Europe for the first time this summer and one of my highlights was taking 46 laps on Ride to Happiness! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your trip next summer!
@@coasterbot it rained for a good portion of the day I was there so the the crowns were pretty low. The last few hours my group just kept going til pretty much the park closed! Not sure if I'll ever get back there so wanted to make sure I got those rides in!
actually very much same on Taron. With Phantasialand being my home park, I've ridden this thing so many times and it's great. But I miss actual standout moments. Some sequences are very nice (launch 2 -> zigzag -> overbank -> twisted airtime), but most of it is just twists and turns… I prefer Black Mamba for having actual elements and being a more forceful experience. And nostalgic reasons. I look very much forward to Toutatis, OzIris and Ride to Happiness in a few days, when I go on a trip with my family. Should throw around sum stuff in my top 10 ^^
Great list! I’m curious why you put Taron above FLY? From my experience FLY does everything Taron does but better. My list would be the following, going 1-10. F.L.Y. - Phantasialand Kondaa - Walibi Belgium Untamed - Walibi Holland Wildfire - Kolmarden Taron - Phantasialand Black Mamba - Phantasialand Fenix - Toverland Lost Gravity - Walibi Holland Goliath - Walibi Holland Pulsar - Walibi Belgium
As far as I know, I have been to 3 parks in my entire life (SO FAR!). That being said, here's my current top 10 (I plan on more than doubling this next year) 1. Raging bull (SFGAm) 2. Comet (Great escape) 3. Batman: a ride (SFGAm) 4. Goliath (SFGAm) 5. Pantheon (BGW) 6. Griffon (BGW) 7. Verbolten (BGW) 8. X-Flight (SFGAm) 9. Apollo's Chariot (BGW) 10. American Eagle (SFGAm) it might be easy to see what my home park is here...
My top 3: 1 ArieForce One 2 Velocicoaster 3 Iron Gwazi If you're making a US trip anywhere near the Southeast, make sure and take a trip out to Fun Spot America Atlanta to ride Arie Force One if you haven't already!
I have to get on some European coasters....That being said, I personally rank Iron Gwazi over Velocicoaster due to the intensity. Velocicoaster, however, is such a complete and fantastic experience that I could see anyone giving it top billing😊
Well it is pretty hard to decide which rollercoasters in your top 3 like iron gwazi, ride to happiness and velocicoaster is the best one. Not the best top 3 for having iron gwazi at number 3, ride to happiness at number 2 and velocicoaster at number 1 but it's your opinion. And that's fine. I can agree with it.
A very decent top 10 overall. I need to update my coaster list on your site. I’m close to 1000 credits. The only part of your list that is very far back on mine is Taron. I think it’s a weak coaster with an amazing setting
I feel Taron is either hit or miss, it missed a bit for me, and certainly sounds like it did for you. Please do update your rankings on Vote Coasters ☺️
If you come to Southern California ever you have to let me know and we will meet up with you at the parks here. I’ll tell you the next time we are in the UK
All your opinion ofcourse, which is totally fine, but would you really call Taron's second launch forgettable? Honestly just curious if that's actually the case, because it's my very favourite element on any roller coaster, period.
It's the least forgettable part of the ride, but I feel people overrate the experience. VelociCoaster has a very similar set-up, which is very cool, but helps to have that huge tower afterwards. I also don't think Taron's launches are the best in the world either, Rock 'n' roller coaster has a superior LSM launch for example. Honestly, Taron let me down a little bit and I've been wracking my brain ever since to try and figure out why,
@@coasterbot Case of different tastes I suppose! I had frontrow ride last January just as it was starting to get dark and the entirety of Klugheim was covered in fog, it was absolutely unbelievable. Bloody cold too.
I’ve mostly stayed on the east coast of America but… 10. Millennium Force 9. Incredible Hulk 8. Magnum XL-200 7. Hagrid’s (long name) Motorbike Adventure 6. Twisted Cyclone 5. Velocicoaster 4. Lightning Rod 3. El Toro 2. Maverick 1. Iron Gwazi
@@coasterbot i love megafobia. Havent ridden the retrack yet. Before i get the question ill answer it, smiler is so low because its rough and painful, but still a great ride!
I haven't ridden your top 3 i know i know i should have ridden at least ride to happiness since its so close to me. I'm glad you said that a couple of my top coasters aren't the ones you ridden yet. to be honest steel vengeance was a big dissapointment as was excellerator but that might just be me. Don't get me wrong they are both in me top 20 of best coasters ever but Steel venganges is around top 5 now intimidator 305 is really good my second favorite steel one and el toro is me second favorite woody if you lijke intesetiy it will be youre nr 1.
EDIT: Nevermind, someone else asked that question already and you did in fact not have the opportunity to ride FLY yet. Didn't realize this video was "old" (by youtube's standards) as it had been recommended to me just now :D Original Comment: Very good list, but I am honestly suprised that Phantasialand's F.L.Y. didn't make it in the top 10 at all. The theming and especially integration into the surrounding place surpass Taron (imo at least), it is a very unique experience, it has inversions AND memorable elements. Didn't you get to ride it when you visited Phantasialand or what made you perosnally prefer Taron over FLY? PS: This is in no way meant in a "you are wrong" kind of way, especially as I prefer Taron over FLY too. Just curiosity, as it seemed to check many if not all the boxes.
I love Iron Gwazi and man I’m blessed that and Velocicoaster are in the same state that I get to ride over and over again. Love it Also glad you had fun on your Florida trip
They're both fantastic rides! We had a lot of fun, but we also didn't at times. A lot of the parks in Orlando aren't really as good as people make them out to be. Or not as good as they should be for how much you pay to actually be there. Disney Hollywood Studios in particular was a horrid theme park. Great rides, awful park.
@@coasterbot yeah that’s pretty accurate If Tower of Terror, Rocking Roller Coaster and Rise of the Resistance weren’t there it wouldn’t be that good of a park. So I can see where people put it out to be.
cool! shocked to see balder so high, but interesting. you seem to have a similar taste in coasters to me, with just everything like theming, airtime, and just fun factor. about to do vote coasters too!
I haven't done a proper coaster ranking list in years but glad to see that both yours and my recent trip to Florida changed things up. VelociCoaster also became my #1 and Iron Gwazi is probably in there as well along with I305, ArieForce One, Time Traveler, Fury, Twisted Timbers, Maverick, El Toro, Pantheon, Phoenix, Outlaw Run, Ravine Flyer II, Superman The Ride, Lightning Rod, and more in some order I've yet to really think about.

Karnan is an underrated coaster, for sure. That's an awesome top 10 - I see you like your RMCs! :)
It is a pretty aggressive ride, that's for sure
I would love to ride all of these some day. Right now my favourite coaster is montu.

4. Millennium Force (Cedar Point)

That's a very solid top 10. I rate Hangtime!
Great list! This year definitely has been a blast of new coasters for me as well! Still planning on going to new parks, but my top 10 is as follows:
1. Iron Gwazi
2. Batman Gotham City Escape
3. VelociCoaster
4. El Toro
5. Shambhala
6. Mako
7. Nitro
8. Montu
9. Gold Striker
10. Cheetah Hunt
What did you prefer in Gotham City Escape compared to VelociCoaster ?
@mathieujacob4474 I thought the pacing and airtime at GCE was better. Veloci has the better launches and ending with the mosassaurus roll, though. Close one, but GCE has the slight edge for me
Very interesting to hear your thoughts about GCE and VelociCoaster!
No Ride to Happiness?
Untamed has some good laterals too the only force isn’t just airtime
I don't really remember the laterals to be honest, though I'm sure they were there!
Taron is still my number one. Could ride it in the dark and that is just crazy.
Velocicoaster i'd call a top 5 coaster on a good day. Agree that Iron Gwazi is the better coaster.
Nice list....
I sadly havent traveld to far for coasters yet, but this is my current list....
1 FLY
1 Batman gotham city escape
2 Untamed
3 Taron

I know I’m about a month late, but that was a fascinating list. My top ten would look a lot different since I haven’t been on a lot of those coasters yet since I live in America. I find it special that my 200th coaster was your #1!
My top 10 is made from European parks ( Germany, Poland, Spain, Belgium and Netherlands)+ BGT and islands of adventure.
1) Zadra
2) Velocicoaster
3) Iron Gwazi
4) RTH
5) Untamed (RMC)
6) Hyperion
7) Kondaa
8) Shambhala
9) F.L.Y.
10) Expedition geforce
Lots of love for RMC! :)
Just starting out as a thoosie in my mid fifties, and I’m in Oz, so I have a fair way to travel to get to European and American coasters. Have just visited Poland and the Netherlands though, so my top ten coasters actually ridden now consists of:
1. Hyperion Energylandia
2. Zadra Energylandia
3. DC Rivals Warners Movie World
4. Untamed Walibi Holland
5. Steel Taipan Dreamworld
6. Lost Gravity Walibi Holland
7. Abyssus Energylandia
8. Bush Beast, Australia’s Wonderland
9. Goliath Walibi Holland
10. Gold Coaster Dreamworld
Really looking forward to riding Superman Escape, Leviathan and Green Lantern later this month!
Nice to see a list with Helix so high up. Even after all these years it's still up there in my S tier of coasters. RTH has grown on me since my last visit and i'm starting to understand why some people rank it so high. But not quite there for me yet. Maybe after another visit...
You saved the most terrifying video topic of all for halloween: personal opinions!!
Of course! 😂
VA local with I305 at my home park. It will definitely redefine a "intense" coaster for you

my top 11 is:
1. The Smiler
2. The Swarm
3. Nemesis Inferno
4. Galactica
5. SAW: the Ride
6. Colossus
7. Wicker Man
8. Stealth
9. Oblivion
10. Mandril Mayhem
11. Th13rteen
thirteen and mandrill mayhem are tied for me so its top 11 instead of top 10
Love the smiler at no. 1 👌
15 out of 575 is very respectable!
Iron Gwazi and Velocicoaster are indeed excellent.

Great top 10! I voted on the Vote Coasters poll the other day. Out of my 87 credits, my top 10 is
1. Lightning Rod at Dollywood
2. Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion
3. Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure
4. Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
5. Jurassic World: Velocicoaster at Universal's Islands of Adventure
6. Twisted Timbers at Kings Dominion
7. El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure
8. Jersey Devil Coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure
9. Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
10. Candymonium at Hersheypark
Cosmic Rewind is at #12.
Honestly, we didn't, it was two weeks of theme parks. I love theme parks, but it was a lot...
@@coasterbotFair play, that's the main draw I admit!
After summer 2024 I'll have all three of those in my top 10 I'm sure! Sounds like you've had a busy year!

7. Millennium Force
8. Colossos - Kampf der Giganten
9. F.L.Y.

I mean Taron is still very good regardless right!

F.L.Y. - Phantasialand
Kondaa - Walibi Belgium
Untamed - Walibi Holland
Wildfire - Kolmarden
Taron - Phantasialand
Black Mamba - Phantasialand
Fenix - Toverland
Lost Gravity - Walibi Holland
Goliath - Walibi Holland

Original Comment:
Very good list, but I am honestly suprised that Phantasialand's F.L.Y. didn't make it in the top 10 at all.
