After wearing these boots for six months, my e.d. Is gone, my back doesn’t hurt anymore and my hairline stopped receding. My credit score jumped 150 points and I get 5 times the gas mileage in my truck. I highly recommend these boots
Besides work i forget there even on ask my wife i eat sleep & Screw with these boots on . she loves the traction i get with these i highly recomend this product.
I’ve had my pair for 11 years. Only used them for first year, then switched to red wing. I recently pulled them out of storage and started using them again. If you upgrade the insole, these are very comfortable boots.
I've try timberlands, red wings and Georgia work boots and now I got me a pair of this wolverine boots and I'm loving them. At work I walk around 9 to 10 hours a day and go up and down stairs all day and they're very comfortable. I recommend this boots because of the comfort they offer and are not heavy at all.
I’ve had these boots for just over two years now and still a good amount of tread on them. I’m on my feet all day at work. Will definitely buy another pair. Boots don’t have to be expensive and trendy to be good.
From a big guy prospective these boots are very comfortable. I’m about 6’0 415. I’m on my feet about 10-12 hours a day doing HARD labor! After about 7 months I find these to be amazing! Only thing that I didn’t like is that they loosened up a bit more than I thought they would. I used to wear CAT boots and these are by far way better. I am flat footed but these are amazing! Recommend them!
I love your reviews man! I must mention that I've had 2 pair of these in the 8" version for 2 years now. Ya know what? This is my favorite pair of boots ive ever worked in! Basic as hell, but theres a solid dependability to that modest yet quality design. As for the sole turning into a liability over time; I've been ironworking on freshly poured concrete and hot steel grating nonstop and i just love these more and more. I did lose that spiderman grip after about half a year, but i still climb in my older pair and it's still secure. I know you see a ton of footwear, but I have to testify on the seasons I've put into these and how they've gone from catching everyones eye and provoking inquiries on where others could get them, to becoming like old friends that I'm more than happy to share a work load with. 😁
Couldn’t disagree more. Most comfortable work boot I’ve worn. Price point is great and the quality is better than anything else I own. Plus, can turn around, dust them off and hit the bar afterwards and look like a hipster. They’re that stylish.
i've used it for a little under a year now on 8-10 hr shifts. paired with dr scholl's insole they are very comfortable. durability wise, they are unbelievably tough. i take 'em off and leave 'em behind my car at my garage at the end of the day, unfortunately im very forgetful and when i go out on a saturday would forget they were there and run over them as i back out. i've done this four times now and the boot has the same shape and comfort as always. would definitely buy again.
I work on my feet in these every day, ive had them about a year and couldnt be happier, I am open minded to some redwings or other similar boots in the future
Three years and counting on my wolverine moc 6 inch. Tread nearly gone but I still have good traction. My sole is not of this blown sole. Very very comfortable. Grabbed some 6 inch moc thorogoods today ran wolverines twice back to back within 7 years. Not one regret. Very well made boots. 💯
Those are some handsome boots. Been grabbing myself a new pair every year. They look good, comfortable, pull in the ladies, and most importantly get the job done!
I have had a pair of these for over 6 years now in the 8" version. I wear orthotics so didn't care about the foot pad, the orthotics take care of that. They are light and I do everything in them- yard work, garage projects, hunting/hiking and even casual wear. I keep them clean and conditioned and they are very comfortable. I like that they are just plain leather and have a durable inner heal that doesn't rub apart. With Sno-Seal they are actually pretty water resistant for the winter months etc. My next pair of boots will be some Red Wing Iron Rangers or 875 Moc Toes I think. But for now, I don't have ANY excuse to ditch these because they just keep truckin'.
wore a pair of these for two years. those were great so got another. inseam fell apart after one day. returned them. went with the throgoods. so much better.
Mine were cheap on Amazon, and I didn't know what to expect. They are comfortable, and maybe even a bit large for their size. They seem well made so far.
These boots are the best in price and comfert ive spent 200 on boots to 50 on boots these are the best in terms of comfort and price plus they last me as much ass a super expensive boot
I just bought the 6" Loaders in size 12. I usually wear size 12 in sneakers. They were slightly too big, so I'm exchanging them for 11.5. I'm also going to buy some replacement insoles. I work mostly indoors and on my feet for 8 hours a day and come home to work in my garage/woodshop during the week nights and weekends. I'm tired of my running shoes getting ripped or collecting sawdust. And dropping a chunk of wood on my toes doesn't feel good at all. I don't need the moc toe so I'm going with the regular toe Loaders. I was torn between these and Brunt Marins but the leather is thicker on these than the Brunts. I can't afford anything more than $150 nor do I need something that expensive since I don't work in construction or anything like that all day. These will just be worn during the colder seasons at work and in my woodshop at home. Warmer seasons, I'll swap out to my running shoes at work.
He is so negative about these boots he makes it seem like there from pay less my husband hand these boots for about a year and a half and there running strong he works 75 hour weeks as a full time plumber
I ordered this one along with another wolverine boot W09093 and when I put these on it felt like walking on clouds. I think most likely I will keep these.
I bought these in an 8 inche. A few weeks before the first big snow fall last year. I'm a Fedex driver, and I walk over 5 miles a day. Anyway after the first snow fall 6". I wore them for that day, and most of the day they were okay. I slipped a few times but not bad. But with thirty deliveries left I slipped down a hill and caught my foot under me and SNAPPED my fibula and my foot was facing the wrong direction. I'm still out of work 8 months later and probably won't walk normal again. I know these boots were a contributing factor to my injury. I was cheap and bought these and it changed my life for the negative. Just be careful!
I’ve bought at least 12 of these in the past 20 years. I love these boots. I can wear them on the job and off the job and surprisingly, they’re pretty darn comfortable. Like this guy said, it’s just a boot. Not too comfortable, but for $100.00. They’re the best boot. I love e these boots. That’s why I’ve bought at least 12 in the past 20 + years.
I get about a year and a half out of a pair of these, i work on concrete slabs and go up and down ladders daily, the only thing that wears out is the bottom. being foam it eventually shreds off. the supplied insoles are garbage, i recently got a set of Ariat insoles and what a difference! nice review!
I have a pair of the "Loader" boots. Same thing, just a darker color. Pretty decent entry level moc toe boot. The only real downside to these is that the sole is way too thick. I felt like Herman Munster everywhere I went. Just do yourself a favor and get some Thorogoods.
how do these compare in comfort and build quality say to a thorogood plain toe or MOC wedge? I've had everything from thorogood's to the highest Red Wings and I burn through them like nothing within 6 months the most comfortable boots and decent durability I've ever had were some Wolverine Raider Xtreme multi shocks how do they compare to the Wolverine Raiders I'm a union carpenter and drywaller so I would be wearing them five to six days out of the week thanks in advance
These are great when I only paid $45 for the steel toe version. My company picks up the rest of the bill. And I bragged to my friends at work about them. Lol.
These boots are virtually identical to the Gravel Gear 6in Moc. There are slight differences in leather/thread color, outsole design, and eyelet/speed lace material but overall they are the same thing but for almost half the price.
I bought these years back and I didn't like them at all. The leather gets really stretched out and your foot will slide inside the boot even after tying up the laces as tight as you can. If you have a wide foot maybe you'll be ok, but I have a thin foot. Other than that they are just an average boot for the price. If you wear the diehard suretrac boot, this is definitely an upgrade. But they aren't in the same league as redwing, thorogood, etc..
really love this style of boot and am currently debating on these, Irish setters ashby, Redwing 405, and from another one for our videos the therogoods. my main concern is comfort, I work on concrete for about 10 hrs a day, mind helping me out?
I think they are GREAT boots for the price. They have Goodyear welt construction, but without a leather welt. These are not heavy duty work boots, and do not pretend to be. Properly sized, the boots are comfortable. Ideal for the weekend warrior.
I wear this boots 8 hours every day and I don’t have any complaint about this boots I like it and I have different pairs and brands but this do the job 😀
these boots are comfortable straight from the retailer there is hardly any break in period, but I always find myself replacing the laces and the sole always cracks within 6 months. it's a shame because they're almost perfect. I just have to ask myself. do I want to buy a pair of $100 boots every 6 months or try to stretch a $200 pair for a full year
I usually buy shoes in 12; picked these up in 11.5 wide and theyve been perfect, super comfy. I got mine in russet red (the leather grain on them is tighter pored, and without the fat wrinkles shown on the pair in this vid. I recommend getting some quality arch insoles, leather conditioner and some polish. Theyre perfect for everyday wear and look classy when done right.
Not true. A shitty boot is a shitty boot. Wolverine is a huge company with tons of resources they should but a little bit more into there low priced boots. So when a guy or gal is starting out in the trades they can have a halfway decent boot on their feet. Golden fox is a small one might say a super small company with almost no resources or sales outlet outside of the NET. Still, they take that extra step to build an EVERYMANS boot. My first and primary concern is the working man. The guys that start at 5:30am and have more done by 9:00am then most do in their entire week. My loyalty is not to brands but to the person handing me the wrench or I to them.
These boots are virtually identical to the Gravel Gear 6in Moc. There are slight differences in leather/thread color, outsole design, and eyelet/speed lace material but overall they are the same thing but for almost half the price. I bet Wolverine sold the design patent to Northern Tool at some point. It makes you think, if Northern Tool can sell them at ~$60 and still make a profit, then Wolverine must be jacking up the price of their version simply because of their name recognition. Your lack of enthusiasm for this boot is therefore quite valid.
Ya phuk this guy. Ive bought 6 pairs of these boots the past 10 years, why? CAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST BOOT, i wear out the souls i work a ton of overtime ( pre covid) and they are comfortable. I replace insoul with a think gel type and condition leather b4 1st use. Hey do you know how to seal side of soul to prevent dirt or saw dust darkening? That would be great to know . I just bought a brown pair of Amazon for 99$ i usually run tan color but wanted to try the darker one since they always darken after mink oil. I bought Bickmanson i think its called conditioner, qaurentee not to darken
I have had those boots for about five years now and they have been awesome. I really couldn’t ask for much more. The only complaint I have is the upper padding started ripping out about a year ago.
Wolverine is all I buy but for work I want a slip on just ordered this boot for dress and going out they look really comfortable never had a wedge sole boot
I enjoy your videos, I've watched several of them. :) --- But, I wish you didn't wave the boots around all the time, hold them still so we can get a better look at them! --- I have seen several comments about the wedge soles cracking, do you have any input on that?
I just bought these boots. The second I walked out the store, I laced them up and the laces were comprised ripping already. Went back to the boot barn store and they gave me a new 10$ pair of laces. 2 weeks later some threading started falling apart on the side of the boot. I was pissed! Boot barn will not return worn items, you have to go through wolverine direct. So long story short boot barn gave me another boot for free which was a 150$ value. The original boot I got was 125$. So I ended up with two pairs of boots for 125$ great warranty and customer service. But I hope they last. Not happy about the craftsmanship and how quickly they were falling apart. I had redwings prior to these and they lasted me 18months. Anytime I invest in a boot, I always want at least a year use out of them! Anyways hope this long ass comment helped anyone out there.
I have had many pairs of these over the years and I am ruff on them, these are the only boots I want to wear. I have 3 new pairs in the closet for reserve in case they quit making them. Yea they are 70s technology that's why they are awesome. I have had the over engineered boots they make now and they are inferior to these boots and these boots look cool.
These boots are my Daily Drivers for the past 10 years. I love these boots ,light, tough and look Bad ass. Don't let this guy talk down on the wolverine 6in. MOC TOE. I always replace stock insole with TIMBERLAND PRO ANTI-FATIGUE . Your feet will thank you. It will make these boots feel way comfortable along with thick boot socks. You'll love um. And Chicks Dig um. industry standard for most Journeymen Carpenters. Yes you could pay 300 for some crazy boots add steal toe . But what if you don't like um. Your stuck. I swear by these boots. Just condition out the box. Bickman oil. Won't darken Twice a month if hard use. Only con is the side of sole can darken , so i need to figure out how to seal the sides of sole
for the price you can not beat the Sears Die Hard. Every concrete finisher I know wears them. Ive been buying them the past 20 years and won't buy anything else. Never had a sole or stitching blow out. They are $100 but Sears always has them on sale for around 75-80 bucks. Best moc toe style boot made for the price hands down
It takes me about 2 years or 3 to wear my boot down but I use tuff toe to prolong the life on the tips but how do u go through a boot in a few months ???
I love mine! Out of the box, theyre so comfy! I can wesr em all day without any struggle. I also love the colour. Got mine a size bigger, cause I wear a lot of thicker socks. I read from a lot of people online that the sole broke in the front at a time. Well see
Please help. I cant seem to get more than 6 months out of a pair of boots. I'm a carpenter and sometimes have to walk through rough terrain, rebar or scaffolding. Wolverine has been the most comfortable boot I've owned but the last pair I bought both the left and the right sole split. I would appreciate some recommendations
I've had my first pair of these boots for about 2 1/2 years now. Still in good shape. The soles are still in good condition. Very comfortable boot. I condition mine with mink oil every 1-2 months.btw, I'm 6ft 280, great boot.
100??i got mine for 120 and yes their cheap considering me wearing red wings Irish settler Georgia boots and timberlands well they go for around the same price but these boots(wolverines) and the Georgia boots by far are the most comfortable boots and durable boots I’ve ever worn
Ive wore nothing but the Sears Die Hard the last 20 years but have thought about trying another kind just to see if there is something else that work as well for the price because Sears doesn't seem like its going to be around much longer and Sears is the only place to get the Die Hards
I just don’t understand why people should have to pay top dollar in order to get a good review on a boot that is extremely comfortable and gets replaced approximately every year... I used to buy red wings and they last me the same amount of time as these Wolverine and they are as comfortable for all day working. I’ll save me some cash and keep buying the “just okay” boot
You should check the new Wolverine Loader Wedge work boot they just came out with.. it's cheaper and looks much better than their older Moc-Toe work boot.. it's like they made it more modern and fashionable like the Danner Bull Run Moc-toe. I have a pair on right now.. Wolverine Loader 6" check it! It's bitchin.
I'm lying about liking wolverines over thorogoods? I'm definitely not lying lmao, its my opinion. Thorogoods are alright, but wolervines are my boot choice.
Elpanacho I don't really know. Outside of knocking the crud off most of boots with a stiff brush. I don't ever try to restore the luster of a fresh sole. but if I had to guess. I would use the same method as the sneaker guys. toothbrush and soap and water.
These were the first pair of boots I bought when I got into my local plumbing apprencship. Wore them everyday for 2 years... Very comfortable but not the best quality. Currently rocking Thorogoods 814-4008 and Red Wing 405
I use these as dress up boots they look. Good with a button up. I'll use them for work when they get dirty and creased up. But right now they look too good to bring to work. For. The price and Comfortable steal toe it's great in happy
I used to love these boots a wear them all the time. Unfortunately the sole on the last three I owned kept failing. Once I stepped on something sharp it would tare the sole creating a hole that would keep getting bigger until the were unwearable. The last pair I had didn’t last six months. I switched to Georgia boots witch are way better
+radioshark I have not. I was looking at it the last time I was up In port Washington. I was wondering who they hired to make it for them. If I'm. It mistaken they don't own any manufacturing plants yet. But I could be wrong. Does anyone know if they do? That would be awesome to find out that they have US worker's building soft goods and boots.
I have this exact boot. The review is right: tough but cheap. I have had them for several years: I have done intermittent construction (framing, cement, mechanic work) and a lot of heavy gardening and they have not fallen apart. But the key here is PUT A THIN GEL LINER IN THEM and you are golden or Your foot after 5-hours in these MF’s will hurt. Those of u that say comfortable as a quality must have the feet of a corpse... Basically, you get a tough, relatively cheap work boot with no foot padding. And yes, your foot will slide a little in them because the inside becomes loose to slightly cavernous (after 1-2 yrs) eventually as the leather stretches but does not tear. Just cheat the expensive manufacturers by putting in a thin gel line and your cool. I also bought some Georgia boots at the same time as the Wolverines and those DO NOT HURT MY FEET AFTER WALKING 5-6 hours. I had not used them because they have a round toe and are a little smaller looking. My feet have never hurt in these. But these cost about 50 bucks more. I have not beat the snot out of them like the Wolverines.
He’s trashing this boot but for us NYers this boot is definitely a looker. I definitely wouldn’t wear it to work but everywhere else-let’s go. Nice looking casual shoe/boot that’s all I see right there 💪🏾
Surprised they lasted all yr especially from being a butcher with blood and water settling on it all day till the end of the day hot water washed and sanitized and no tears…yea good work boot

Before I snort the shavings to cure my ED, do I grate from the insole or the out sole?

thats odd since iron workers have to have boots that has that gap halfway down the boot for ladder safety

But they aren't in the same league as redwing, thorogood, etc..
really love this style of boot and am currently debating on these, Irish setters ashby, Redwing 405, and from another one for our videos the therogoods. my main concern is comfort, I work on concrete for about 10 hrs a day, mind helping me out?
comfortable decent boot holds up well im 300lbs and i get 4 good mths out of them...nice and wide too ......bigg ups bootman....
4 months and they go bad?
Does this sole grip better than the thorogood wedge and redwing wedge boot? Work in a quarry, asphalt plant, and Concrete plant.
If they were made by Golden Fox, he would be singing the boot’s praises.
Lmao
I got a pair of these on the way, what would you recommend doing to them as far as conditioning or waterproofing?
I'm on my second pair and most likely going to buy again i love these..They just felt kinda sketchy on a roof 😂
Stephen Aleman i want to buy these for roofing. Are they slippery on shingles???
Any suggestions on other casual, moc toes with wedge soles? The wolverine Louis Wedge Boot is my all time favorite, but they stopped making it.
Its bang for your buck.. best 120 bucks i spent for rodbuster. I got flat feet but they last me 8 months tho.. still a satisfied customer
Very nice shooes were can I gete it
I enjoy your videos, I've watched several of them.
Only con is the side of sole can darken , so i need to figure out how to seal the sides of sole
hello I am a painter and i really love the moc toe style boots and was wondering what brand would be the best?
+austin jay Thorogood, they use a real nice Shank.
for the price you can not beat the Sears Die Hard. Every concrete finisher I know wears them. Ive been buying them the past 20 years and won't buy anything else. Never had a sole or stitching blow out. They are $100 but Sears always has them on sale for around 75-80 bucks. Best moc toe style boot made for the price hands down
love these boots so much
It takes me about 2 years or 3 to wear my boot down but I use tuff toe to prolong the life on the tips but how do u go through a boot in a few months ???
I love mine! Out of the box, theyre so comfy! I can wesr em all day without any struggle. I also love the colour. Got mine a size bigger, cause I wear a lot of thicker socks. I read from a lot of people online that the sole broke in the front at a time. Well see
Most of these flat sole boots are ironworker boots, especially ones with the rippled sole. They dont last long if you're not walking on metal/iron
Ive been doing a lot of our work on fresh slabs and these soles held up surprisingly well. But i would rather have been connecting the whole time😁
Please help.
Try a thorogood 814-4200.
How does this boot compared to your other wedge boots
I've had my first pair of these boots for about 2 1/2 years now. Still in good shape. The soles are still in good condition. Very comfortable boot. I condition mine with mink oil every 1-2 months.btw, I'm 6ft 280, great boot.
Are these the 'apprentice' model ?
idk if it's cuz my left foot is wide or something but these were comfortable up until a week ago, now my left pinky toe hurts on the top.
100??i got mine for 120 and yes their cheap considering me wearing red wings Irish settler Georgia boots and timberlands well they go for around the same price but these boots(wolverines) and the Georgia boots by far are the most comfortable boots and durable boots I’ve ever worn
I love these boots. 1 year going on strong.
Did you loose weight? You look health and well my guy 🙏🏾💪🏾
I have the same. I do lawn care. And I have 3 year whit this boots perfect for me I will buy this boots again .
Ive wore nothing but the Sears Die Hard the last 20 years but have thought about trying another kind just to see if there is something else that work as well for the price because Sears doesn't seem like its going to be around much longer and Sears is the only place to get the Die Hards
mojo jojo just buy a grip of them stock up for life lol
I just don’t understand why people should have to pay top dollar in order to get a good review on a boot that is extremely comfortable and gets replaced approximately every year... I used to buy red wings and they last me the same amount of time as these Wolverine and they are as comfortable for all day working. I’ll save me some cash and keep buying the “just okay” boot
I wear them everyday, they're great
What do you think of the wolverine ranchero 8" ST?
So im getting the impression that the golden fox boot would be a better option to go for?
+Joe Finch yes, follow your gut. Golden fox.
FlexYoFace Chase how is the sizing? I was just looking at buying a pair?
Can someone tell me which color this is?
I actually enjoy these wolverine moc toe over thorogood, red wings, georgias.
Youre lying i owned wolverine first. My feet would hurt so bad the thorogoods are best
I'm lying about liking wolverines over thorogoods? I'm definitely not lying lmao, its my opinion. Thorogoods are alright, but wolervines are my boot choice.
i really like the boots reviews and your channel seems to be a good one. +1 sub! thanks for the reviews
do you know if these are slip resistant
What is the best method or a method that works for you to clean up the soles seeing how they get dirty so quick.
Elpanacho I don't really know. Outside of knocking the crud off most of boots with a stiff brush. I don't ever try to restore the luster of a fresh sole. but if I had to guess. I would use the same method as the sneaker guys. toothbrush and soap and water.
Scrubbing made them look better but not as clean as I would like, I guess I'll have to deal with it. Thanx.
These were the first pair of boots I bought when I got into my local plumbing apprencship. Wore them everyday for 2 years... Very comfortable but not the best quality. Currently rocking Thorogoods 814-4008 and Red Wing 405
+Hector Roman thanks Hector.
Stop moving
I use these as dress up boots they look. Good with a button up. I'll use them for work when they get dirty and creased up. But right now they look too good to bring to work. For. The price and Comfortable steal toe it's great in happy
Quick question , did you buy a size down?
@@frozone993 yes I did . You too? lol
I have these boots and like them a lot
I used to love these boots a wear them all the time. Unfortunately the sole on the last three I owned kept failing. Once I stepped on something sharp it would tare the sole creating a hole that would keep getting bigger until the were unwearable. The last pair I had didn’t last six months. I switched to Georgia boots witch are way better
Try Wolverine Hudson boots.
Those are good looking boots
I have the same boots only got about 4 months out of them
have you review Duluth Trading moc toe boots? Street Choppers reviewed it, what do you think?
+radioshark I have not. I was looking at it the last time I was up In port Washington. I was wondering who they hired to make it for them. If I'm. It mistaken they don't own any manufacturing plants yet. But I could be wrong. Does anyone know if they do? That would be awesome to find out that they have US worker's building soft goods and boots.
+TheBootGuy Thorogood makes them, Duluth puts there name on it and sells it like the rest of there stuff
Do a review on the Wolverine durashocks wedge 6 in
I’m going back these best boot for price and comfortable
Work boot w no steel/protective toe? Is that really a work boot?
