    Retargeting List Search Ads
    I’ve been using RLSA Google Ads campaigns for years and they’re amazing at quickly generating a really high ROAS and bringing customers back onto your store to generate conversions. And another thing that makes RLSA ads more interesting is that many Ecommerce store owners are NOT taking advantage of this type of campaigns!
    What are RLSA Google Ads campaigns?
    RLSA ads are Google Ads that you only show if someone has already visited your website.
    When should you use remarketing lists for search ads?
    Here's a scenario: Customers go to your website and check out your products, but they don’t buy just yet. The next day, they come back to Google Ads and search again, this time for something a bit different. You can set up Google Ads remarketing campaigns specifically for these buyers and ONLY show your ads to someone who has already visited your website.
    Now, why RLSA ads good for your Ecom store?
    1. With Google Ads Retargeting, you can bid on very cheap keywords and other stores don't want to pay for. Because the user has already visited your website and brand, they have a much higher chance of converting.
    2. When you set up a remarketing campaign, you can increase your bids for existing campaigns if someone has already visited the website. It means you can run this for shopping campaigns and just bid 20% extra if someone has already clicked your site.

      Can I just create an ad group into an Existing Campaign (Branding)for RSLA instead of creating a separate campaign? And also, if I do that (Ad group level)can I switch the audience setting from observation to targeting in that specific ad group without hurting the other Ad group? Thanks.

    Hi Sam. For a store with a range of product categories, that is only targeting Australia. Just wondering if you recommend having creating 1 RLSA campaign for all product categories, or split into several (eg. Chainsaws, Whippersnippers, Generators, Mowers). By the way, love the amazing content 😀

    Hey Sam you mentioned not to use the remarketing list as audience in an existing campaign, what if you but decrease the bid by 90% does this work?

    If its kept under observation then how will adding bid adjustments help as it is not targeted rather it is observing only. Don't you think I should increase the bid adjustments on b the keywords in this case ?

    Great video, so if I use only targeting the ads will show only to the people in the list ? In general you make two campaigns, one for targeting and one for observation or you just do the same on the observation campaign ? Great video

    • @kaypkargo852
      @kaypkargo852 3 года назад

      You can target audiences with observation targeting if you are going to target bid adjustments and within a single campaign, ad group.

    9:55 - not sure if I understand - so you shouldn't add in a website remarketing audience under targeting setting if you are currently using additional audiences under observation?

    Can you please tell us should the keywords for RLSA campaigns use Exact, Phrase & Broad?

    • @KeyCommerce
      @KeyCommerce  2 года назад

      That can be a long answer... but I'll try to give a quick one. Definitely use Exact and Phrase on terms that you know for sure are your money-makers. (Always keep in mind that you should be writing your ads to include the terms your adding to any ad group.) Use Broad when you know you'll be reviewing the resulting search terms (daily to start), as that can be a great way to find traffic you would have otherwise missed with Exact and Phrase. But COMMIT to daily search term reviews if you do so! Nothing worse than wasted spend... right?

    very useful vid, thank you!But what is the difference between making a remarketing list in analytics and using a ready remarketing list (website visitors for ex.) from google ads thanks!!

    • @selfemployedmortgagehub
      @selfemployedmortgagehub 11 месяцев назад

      The Analytics list will be bigger because it includes visitors from all channels (organic, ppc, social, email etc) whereas the Google ads list is only those visitors who reached your site from a Google Ad

    Hi I have a question google ads had closed my retargeting list for all visitors to my site. I had 35k visitors from june now since yesterday it says a little over 500. But I cant run a retarget campaign because it has to be 1000. I dont see the data from before how can I get that back or reopen it because it says closed. Please LMK thank you!

    From your experience, is it better to have a separate campaign for RLSA (targeting) or is it better to add the remaketing list (observation) in an existing campaign with alot of data(conv.) metrics?

    • @KeyCommerce
      @KeyCommerce  2 года назад

      There's no one-size-fits-all approach, but in our experience we always have a separate campaign for RLSA.

    I think we don't need to link the Google ads with Analytics, we can simply go to the audience manager in Google ads and create an audience who already visited the website and
    include people that visited a page with the specific rule as page URL contains /cart. and then target the audience with RLSA ads. Also setting up remarketing tag is equally important. please correct me if I am wrong.

    • @KeyCommerce
      @KeyCommerce  2 года назад

      To each their own, you do you. But if someone's planning to appreciably scale up their store, a proper setup with Google Analytics (now GA4) is advised.

    Surely, you must have created a lot of RLSA campaigns in the past. But if are making out a tutorial then your speed should be constant with no rush. That makes it easier to understand.

      Agree with you. Unlike Google, with Facebook if your pixel is already installed and linked to your store you won't miss out on past data when creating new audiences
