I'm all for making a character interesting to play, but not to the point where I need to read a book to understand how to optimize their maximum potential through specific teams and rotations.
I came here to be educated about father but Flip put Dendro daddy in the background and my focus was...Spread. I will be a failure as an Arlecchino main now 😢
Making her scale off of hp I could understand for the added survivability but what would be the point of making her scale off of Def at all? There aren’t any def buffers that she’ll pair well with so they’d either have to release a new unit or buff her multipliers. That’s also just a band aid fix for making her feel unique compared other pyro carriers and ofc Hu Tao

Honestly, Arle should’ve been scaling from defensive stats, either DEF or HP. I wouldn’t even mind if she was purely DEF/HP scaler instead of ATK scaler with DEF/HP to ATK conversion - the less incentive to run Benny with her the better, and its not like hoyo unable to balance numbers around fewer external buffs available. In current form she feels like clunkinnes of almost every fucking pyro on-fielder combined in her - fragility of Lyney, need to get full NA string of Yoimiya, energy issues of Yanfei, long ass movie burst of Diluc, arguably skill issues of Klee and C0 Hu Tao - without higher numbers to back it up. And it sucks. Still pulling though u-u
"Father" is probably my first most favourite characters that I am excited for since the first banner of hutao and yoimiya.... I swear if they f*** up this character I am really going to leave this fucking game.....

As far as i love arlecchino's design she is litteraly just a hu-tao reskin : Pyro polearm + infuse NA + apply dot mark on enemy + heal from her burst, the 2 only thing she has is the anti-heal thingy & the bol mechanic but even then try to convince me that the bol is not a glorified life-drain Btw 20K hp is quite a lot don't try to compare her to furina or nilou 🤣
Do the Devs even know what they want to do to do with Arlecchino? Her C6 was some 6000% DMG Buff for something at some point in the rotation but now it seems to be a 500% DMG Buff for something.
@@res6148 I think she's worse in vape than hu tao, but better in overload and ok in monopyro keeping in mind lyney doesn't really play vapo and hu tao doesn't really play monopyro, I think that's the pull value Arlecchino offers (but like she's the seventh or so Pyro on fielder I'll pull her cuz I like her + I don't have hu tao or lyney)
I'm in Camp "Wait-And-See". :) If Arlecchino is still in BETA, we can see what Hoyo might be thinking for her, but truth is you never really know until she's released. Xianyun was in that camp for me. I didn't want her from what I heard... but when I tried her I pulled for her immediately.
I think there is a thin line between not being reliant on a support like Bennett/Furina and just being weirdly/dysfunctionally designed to the point where you can’t use them. And Arle is firmly on the latter side. I don’t see anything in Arle’s kit that compensates for losing access to a 1k attack buff and 100% (or however much c0 Furina gives) damage bonus. Imo needing Chevy who locks you into one very limited archetype of team is hilarious and is basically the opposite of the supposed freedom that you get from anti Bennett and Furina synergy.
Supports are too good for any new dps character to not be reliant on at least one of them. I’d rather at least have some variety than just slapping Bennett on every atk scaling focused team Also as of rn she doesn’t always rely on Chevy for competitive damage output. She has more options than any of the other pyro carries (overload, vape, and mono pyro)
This community is super short sighted. A character can always be released while looking to the future. Or newer characters can be designed with older ones in mind. This whole F2P movement and the odd pride in it are absurd.

Interesting vid but to summarise all the changes are buffs ,in reality she hasn't gotten a single nerf,and based on leaks she will actually be really Op especially with the longer rotations,making her fit into overload better and having more Bond of life than before she eill be the best pyro dps in my opinion,not only would she fit in every pyro team comp including mono pyro but also she just seems to have not only the coolest gameplay,but also she seems to be the strongest pyro dps overall...
Honestly, i’m just gonna run a melt team with Kazuha, Bennett, and Ganyu. It might not be her best but i’m not the biggest fan of overload and i’m never taking kazuha off my team lol.
I very much doubt she will be straight up bad, she will probably take Yoimiya's title of a worse Hu Tao or become a sidegrade with different teams. Judging by the leaked gameplay and combos, her kit is significantly shittier to play compared to the ghost lady, so I can imagine some people forming the opinion that she's just not worth it. As for me, I'm certainly not going for her before Natlan.

@@Supreme_Bargainer Hu Tao's stamina issues are mitigated by her premium team - Xianyun allows you to replace jump cancels with plunges. This new rotation also brings up the team's DPS to pretty much 90k. Current Arlecchino calculations even assuming C6 Chevreuse don't come close. As for being the best pyro unit until Natlan - Natlan is just two patches away from her release. It may either buff her, or completely outshine her with the release of another pyro carry. Going for her with the assumption that she would stay the best (which she currently even isn't) is just too risky.

Neuvillette’s example hardly makes a trend - the best anemo unit is a wandering samurai instead of the actual anemo archon, Kirara’s box burst hits harder than Zhongli’s meteor, Yae Miko is weaker than some girl from Mondstadt, and the feeble scholar is one of the best on-field damage dealers. We do have to wait for the changes, but I hardly see her power level changing due to some irrelevant lore reasons.

I love when a char is not "12yo friendly" like Beidou, cuz you kinda have to hit full counter 24/7 to max her potential, but i dont like it when they overcomplicate char kits for the sake of overcomplicating it, bondage of life mechanic is super unecessary, forced to exist mechanic already, hoyo creative team def was thirsty for compliments during 4.0 development. her skill n burst relation for example, wtf is that? why not just make her skill have 12s cd in the first place, and her animation is scythe for f sake, why try so hard to make her more single target, i have no problem with her draining her own hp tho, prob just her lore accurate kink, im happy with that. I don't think messing up her combos is an issue I think what many people are missing is that you can actually swap her out at any time and also the fact that she doesn't lose uptime by just waiting or running Given this I don't see the meaning of a 'split' rotation since you can have as many different damage windows even if you juse use EQE whenever it comes up The fact that she doesn't lose uptime by just waiting or running like most dps means that chasing enemies around or waiting for their invulnerability isn't a problem for her.
I personally think that her rotation would be something like Alhaitham, where since you have to wait, you swap to your other members to do their thing before swapping back to Arlecchino to do NAs.

Yeah she’s gotten better as a unit while also making her kit no longer appeal to me at all, which is fine, I’ll just stick to Lyney for my pyro needs until Natlan gives us more off field pyro options
What team do you use for Lyney? I plan to pull him in 4.6 with like 89 pulls and around 30 built pity. I might go for his signature as well and try really hard for it.
@@kofabillion there’s a couple of options but right now my favorite is Bennett/Zhongli/Chiori, no one runs it but it’s been shown to be Lyney’s best team with a shielder for most content, and Chiori’s dolls don’t hit often enough to remove the pyro aura. Chiori needs very high investment (I have C1R1 for her since I also play Navia) but is a great way to get more offensive benefit from Zhongli on your team without needing to run Xiangling and worry about batterying her. I personally value gameplay comfort over max damage in my teams. Bennett is pretty mandatory on all Lyney teams. If you’re in AoE content Xiangling does become very useful. Mono pyro without a shield (Kazuha, Bennett, Xiangling) is very good if you can position/dodge well. Some speedrunners use Furina on Lyney teams which is among his highest damage ceiling but it’s very difficult to play and you really cannot use a shield, but you’ll get Crabaletta forward vapes. You can also run Chevreuse/Fischl teams as well which perform very well but again aren’t very comfy to play.

My plan is to pull Kazuha and if I lose, then I hope for Dehya/Jean + guranteed Lyney for me. If I win, then thats great for me. I also plan on trying to get Lyney's signature weapon. For Mono-Pyro, I have C1 Xiangling but not a single copy of Bennett sadly 😭 My only 5*'s are Hu Tao, Furina, and Mona----so I don't have Zhongli and Chiori C1R1 might drain all my primos + high investment. So thats why I want to go with mono pyro.
As someone who was prepping to run her with Zhongli already from the very start this doesnt seem as bad. She cant be healed okay fine we just shill out Zhongdong for her and move on. Not like my other team was getting nerfed a whole lot by having to shill out Zhong anyways with Haitham teams being among the least intrusive teams to begin with (especally if you own the 3 Xingqius) or even without and can just shill out Furina to him to do double hydro Arle or just running monopyro with circle impact and Kazuha anyways Im glad my acc supassed the point where running Zhongli instead of just dodge 5head 4th slot to prevent severe malding is an option. Yup, am going for neuvillette, even tho i have beidou chev and fiscl, as boy i play on mobile and messing up order of attacks is like everyday occurrence. Tbf i wasn't very impressed by her in archon quests either, yes she has vampire feels and cool drip, but so did itto and dehya and people aren't playing them a whole lot after some time of their release, tho as natlan is coming maybe i'm wrong and she will be top tier, but then reruns are made for regrets
they need to do something because overload is already an annoying reaction so if she don't have or even have none to less aoe, then how overload is, its going to be very annoying. Plus if they don't do anything to ease overload in her kit then she better to more damage then nev
One of her NAs knocks lighter enemies towards you and her CA is a targeted dash that can close gaps created by overloads, although you’d only use it twice per rotation. Those two things might not fully make up for the knockback but imo if you’re playing her in overloads you’ll probably want to use her against either larger enemies or with beidou

You know you're part of the reason why the game is so fucked up right? The character is looking bad, not as a base but she is Hu Tao with extra steps, at least Yoimiya is ranged and she is easy to play, you're writting 5 essays and building a particle accelerator to match Hu Tao DPS... Hoyo is making the same exact mistake as they did with Dehya, Arlecchino is full of conditions to reach her DPS peak and she is C1 locked for the RtI while Dehya is a new defensive option that is weaker and less effective than shiends that have been in the game from day 1, what's the point of releasing a character that's harder to play and fit in teams if the payoff isn't gonna be better than the alternatives? fun could be a acceptable answer but she looks like a pain in the ass and the comparison with shieldless wanderer is looking to be on point honestly.
You usually have really good takes and I love your videos but recently you’ve been falling off hard, arlecchino does have solid aoe it is nowhere near as bad as wriothesleys, you are over complicating her kit for no reason, zajef levels of overthinking, her energy is fine for now and they would have to specifically nerf that which with the recent changes doesn’t seem likely, her vape teams aren’t as consistent as before because of the different times but they still work fine and she’s able to do great with them when there are enemies without much poise, and some of her normal attacks pull enemies closer, and even before these changes when her kit was more basic she was still outcompeting the other pyro damage dealers, and she has combos with frequent dashing and can avoid damage without losing much damage

It’s reaaaaally funny to read confidently incorrect statements like this. For your info, I’ve TCed and calculated her damage along with other known theorycrafters and at C6R1+, she actually deals *more* damage than a Neuvillette hypercarry team at the same level of investment. She is still in beta however - but as of this week, her personal damage contribution in vape is at slightly over 4 million vs. Neuvi’s 3.7M in a single rotation. Not just that, her damage is also faster (vs single enemies). Learn to accurately calculate character damage and you’ll see it’s not an opinion, it’s just numbers. I’ve even posted these numbers, as have others, and mine were actually calced on the conservative side vs others. This community is full of nonsensical hot takes pulled straight out of their posteriors.

Yes Arlecchino is bad really really bad because in Genshin Waifu is bad since the devs don't like Waifus at all. They only like Tall Males and Flat Chested Teens so that is what is strong hence Neu and Furina. Genshin Impact is very predictable and you should only pull on the best units to spite Mihoyo's practice of making characters with good animations and phsyical traits bad.
@@_Choco_ Raiden's kit was thought out before this changed happened and she's massively overhyped. Raiden is bad at C0 and only good at C2 unless you use Dendro and/or ToM Raiden just for support. Also Raiden's NA's are the equivalent of hot garbage.

Doesn't necessarily need Chevy, and Furina still works with a strong team-wide healer, just be prepared to have Arle sitting at

Interesting vid but to summarise all the changes are buffs ,in reality she hasn't gotten a single nerf,and based on leaks she will actually be really Op especially with the longer rotations,making her fit into overload better and having more Bond of life than before she eill be the best pyro dps in my opinion,not only would she fit in every pyro team comp including mono pyro but also she just seems to have not only the coolest gameplay,but also she seems to be the strongest pyro dps overall...

Honestly, i’m just gonna run a melt team with Kazuha, Bennett, and Ganyu. It might not be her best but i’m not the biggest fan of overload and i’m never taking kazuha off my team lol.
I very much doubt she will be straight up bad, she will probably take Yoimiya's title of a worse Hu Tao or become a sidegrade with different teams. Judging by the leaked gameplay and combos, her kit is significantly shittier to play compared to the ghost lady, so I can imagine some people forming the opinion that she's just not worth it. As for me, I'm certainly not going for her before Natlan.

@@Supreme_Bargainer Hu Tao's stamina issues are mitigated by her premium team - Xianyun allows you to replace jump cancels with plunges. This new rotation also brings up the team's DPS to pretty much 90k. Current Arlecchino calculations even assuming C6 Chevreuse don't come close. As for being the best pyro unit until Natlan - Natlan is just two patches away from her release. It may either buff her, or completely outshine her with the release of another pyro carry. Going for her with the assumption that she would stay the best (which she currently even isn't) is just too risky.

Neuvillette’s example hardly makes a trend - the best anemo unit is a wandering samurai instead of the actual anemo archon, Kirara’s box burst hits harder than Zhongli’s meteor, Yae Miko is weaker than some girl from Mondstadt, and the feeble scholar is one of the best on-field damage dealers. We do have to wait for the changes, but I hardly see her power level changing due to some irrelevant lore reasons.

So strange. But it would be cool if they realise a new pyro damage dealer who work well with Chevreuse, because then at least I can make fun of you for trash-talking her in the past. I don't care about the abyss, I will be pulling her for 15s of fast movement speed, also she can hover on water and over mountain.
Last time I checked they changed it from 15s down to 3s

I’m not sure what the point of it is now since they gimped it in terms of exploration and it’s not as quick or as fluid as dashing in combat. On the bright side it still looks pretty cool and they adjusted the animation so it looks more natural lol

I love when a char is not "12yo friendly" like Beidou, cuz you kinda have to hit full counter 24/7 to max her potential, but i dont like it when they overcomplicate char kits for the sake of overcomplicating it, bondage of life mechanic is super unecessary, forced to exist mechanic already, hoyo creative team def was thirsty for compliments during 4.0 development.
her skill n burst relation for example, wtf is that? why not just make her skill have 12s cd in the first place, and her animation is scythe for f sake, why try so hard to make her more single target, i have no problem with her draining her own hp tho, prob just her lore accurate kink, im happy with that.

I think what many people are missing is that you can actually swap her out at any time and also the fact that she doesn't lose uptime by just waiting or running
Given this I don't see the meaning of a 'split' rotation since you can have as many different damage windows even if you juse use EQE whenever it comes up

I personally think that her rotation would be something like Alhaitham, where since you have to wait, you swap to your other members to do their thing before swapping back to Arlecchino to do NAs.

Yeah she’s gotten better as a unit while also making her kit no longer appeal to me at all, which is fine, I’ll just stick to Lyney for my pyro needs until Natlan gives us more off field pyro options

What team do you use for Lyney? I plan to pull him in 4.6 with like 89 pulls and around 30 built pity. I might go for his signature as well and try really hard for it.
@@kofabillion there’s a couple of options but right now my favorite is Bennett/Zhongli/Chiori, no one runs it but it’s been shown to be Lyney’s best team with a shielder for most content, and Chiori’s dolls don’t hit often enough to remove the pyro aura. Chiori needs very high investment (I have C1R1 for her since I also play Navia) but is a great way to get more offensive benefit from Zhongli on your team without needing to run Xiangling and worry about batterying her. I personally value gameplay comfort over max damage in my teams.
Bennett is pretty mandatory on all Lyney teams.
If you’re in AoE content Xiangling does become very useful.
Mono pyro without a shield (Kazuha, Bennett, Xiangling) is very good if you can position/dodge well.
Some speedrunners use Furina on Lyney teams which is among his highest damage ceiling but it’s very difficult to play and you really cannot use a shield, but you’ll get Crabaletta forward vapes.
You can also run Chevreuse/Fischl teams as well which perform very well but again aren’t very comfy to play.

If I win, then thats great for me. I also plan on trying to get Lyney's signature weapon. For Mono-Pyro, I have C1 Xiangling but not a single copy of Bennett sadly 😭
My only 5*'s are Hu Tao, Furina, and Mona----so I don't have Zhongli and Chiori C1R1 might drain all my primos + high investment. So thats why I want to go with mono pyro.
As someone who was prepping to run her with Zhongli already from the very start this doesnt seem as bad. She cant be healed okay fine we just shill out Zhongdong for her and move on. Not like my other team was getting nerfed a whole lot by having to shill out Zhong anyways with Haitham teams being among the least intrusive teams to begin with (especally if you own the 3 Xingqius) or even without and can just shill out Furina to him to do double hydro Arle or just running monopyro with circle impact and Kazuha anyways
Im glad my acc supassed the point where running Zhongli instead of just dodge 5head 4th slot to prevent severe malding is an option.

Yup, am going for neuvillette, even tho i have beidou chev and fiscl, as boy i play on mobile and messing up order of attacks is like everyday occurrence. Tbf i wasn't very impressed by her in archon quests either, yes she has vampire feels and cool drip, but so did itto and dehya and people aren't playing them a whole lot after some time of their release, tho as natlan is coming maybe i'm wrong and she will be top tier, but then reruns are made for regrets
they need to do something because overload is already an annoying reaction so if she don't have or even have none to less aoe, then how overload is, its going to be very annoying.
Plus if they don't do anything to ease overload in her kit then she better to more damage then nev
One of her NAs knocks lighter enemies towards you and her CA is a targeted dash that can close gaps created by overloads, although you’d only use it twice per rotation. Those two things might not fully make up for the knockback but imo if you’re playing her in overloads you’ll probably want to use her against either larger enemies or with beidou

The character is looking bad, not as a base but she is Hu Tao with extra steps, at least Yoimiya is ranged and she is easy to play, you're writting 5 essays and building a particle accelerator to match Hu Tao DPS...
Hoyo is making the same exact mistake as they did with Dehya, Arlecchino is full of conditions to reach her DPS peak and she is C1 locked for the RtI while Dehya is a new defensive option that is weaker and less effective than shiends that have been in the game from day 1, what's the point of releasing a character that's harder to play and fit in teams if the payoff isn't gonna be better than the alternatives? fun could be a acceptable answer but she looks like a pain in the ass and the comparison with shieldless wanderer is looking to be on point honestly.

You usually have really good takes and I love your videos but recently you’ve been falling off hard, arlecchino does have solid aoe it is nowhere near as bad as wriothesleys, you are over complicating her kit for no reason, zajef levels of overthinking, her energy is fine for now and they would have to specifically nerf that which with the recent changes doesn’t seem likely, her vape teams aren’t as consistent as before because of the different times but they still work fine and she’s able to do great with them when there are enemies without much poise, and some of her normal attacks pull enemies closer, and even before these changes when her kit was more basic she was still outcompeting the other pyro damage dealers, and she has combos with frequent dashing and can avoid damage without losing much damage

It’s reaaaaally funny to read confidently incorrect statements like this. For your info, I’ve TCed and calculated her damage along with other known theorycrafters and at C6R1+, she actually deals *more* damage than a Neuvillette hypercarry team at the same level of investment. She is still in beta however - but as of this week, her personal damage contribution in vape is at slightly over 4 million vs. Neuvi’s 3.7M in a single rotation. Not just that, her damage is also faster (vs single enemies). Learn to accurately calculate character damage and you’ll see it’s not an opinion, it’s just numbers.
I’ve even posted these numbers, as have others, and mine were actually calced on the conservative side vs others. This community is full of nonsensical hot takes pulled straight out of their posteriors.

Yes Arlecchino is bad really really bad because in Genshin Waifu is bad since the devs don't like Waifus at all. They only like Tall Males and Flat Chested Teens so that is what is strong hence Neu and Furina. Genshin Impact is very predictable and you should only pull on the best units to spite Mihoyo's practice of making characters with good animations and phsyical traits bad.
What about Raiden? Navia is pretty good as well.
@@_Choco_ Raiden's kit was thought out before this changed happened and she's massively overhyped. Raiden is bad at C0 and only good at C2 unless you use Dendro and/or ToM Raiden just for support. Also Raiden's NA's are the equivalent of hot garbage.
