Hi guys, for those asking this is a custom Anthony Marfione (owner of Microtech Knives). It’s from the collection of IQ Knives and not on sale (and if it was, I can’t imagine how much it would be 😅)
30-year machinist here, working in aerospace, in this category I wouldn't even know where to start? except only a blueprint, and a lot of attention to quality control, maybe I could kick one out and five or six years of engineering, I'm sure a lot of this has to be CAD / Cam, because after perfecting I want everything on computer, because the first one is always the hardest, want to see you are able to do that it's time to collect stockholders?
I hear many stories of quality control falling woefully short at Microtech, these days. Something I find utterly disgusting at their price point. Heck, I hear that in many cases the higher end Chinese knockoffs have better fit and finish than the real deal, nowadays. At less than a quarter of the price.

You should include the model name. This Marfione Custom is called the Masterpiece. There are other variations with Damascus blades, as well as different materials for the handles. These are the top of the food chain in the MCK world.
Magnificent. I use to collect. Some of the finest knives, known in Italy. Elders made me sell my collections. I had pearl handle Milano's , 13 inch stiletto's - Leverletto's - German Nato's - It was a priceless collection, sold for only a few hundred dollars.
This knife is called The Masterpiece. It was made in the mid 00's and I believe it was made in the Bradford PA factory shortly after the move from Vero beach. Only a few were ever made.

Marfione is an absolute master of his craft, every piece he makes is art and an example of complete mastery of his trade. One day I’ll own one of his knives in my collection
Switch blades are legal in California and a knife can be as big as you want if it's not concealed. Double sided blades are illegal unless it's a sword, than that's perfectly fine, lol. Cant have brass knuckle or a club but a broad sword is just fine.
It's a single action OTF, unlike a double action OTF, which is able to be opened *and* closed with the firing switch (example being the Microtech Ultratech), SA OTFs have to be reset with a charging handle every time it's deployed (a more reasonable example being the Microtech Halo)
@@shadowcastyt What is the upside of manufacturing an OTF single action rather than double action? Surely there has to be some kind of benefit. New to knives
That’s a cool design and a gorgeous OTF. OTF are my favorite. I have a few Microtech ones and I have a Italian made one. I forgot the name of it but I’ve had it for years and never had a issue with it.
I've been playing with knives for over 50 yrs. This has got to be the classiest stiletto I have ever seen, it's building is probably plus or minus 0 to the 1000Th.
Not for nothing, this knife is an amazing piece of functional art and as much as I love seeing pieces like this, I also hate when pieces like this are shown since it's a "one of a kind, custom otf knife" It would be amazing if this piece could be made for the rest of us but, would we be able to afford it... ahhh, there's the rub.... Microtech, please make us one... please please pleaseeeee... 😁

It's a poorly designed knife. It has two cutting edges, it's odd to forge a dagger then call it a knife.

She is. It’s called a retractable blade combined with an otf. Hope this helps!!
